Mom of two rockin' girls, Reader of everything, Author of The Dragon Guards series and many more surprises to come!
I am a sarcastic, sometimes foul-mouthed, not afraid to drink a beer, always southern woman with 2 of the most amazing teenage daughters, a menagerie of animals and a voracious appetite for reading who recently decided to write the storied running through her brain. I read my first book, Dr Suess' Cat in The Hat by myself at 4 and was hooked. I believe a good book along with shoes, makeup and purses will never let a girl down and that all heroes of all the books I have ever read or will ever write pale in comparison to my daddy! I am a sucker for a happy ending and love some hot sweaty sex with a healthy dose of romance. I am still working on my story but believe it will contain all of the above with as much SPICE as I can work into it. CHEERS!
I remember when the Berserkers were first introduced. I absolutely fell for them. Over the course of many books, there have been glimpses of Xander. But nothing in any detail. I mean seriously, he's been a prisoner in one way or another for a very long time. Finally, Xander is free. Although he has been tortured beyond belief for centuries, he still has the ability to love. I wanted to know more about Greer after meeting her in Max's book. Know the reason behind what she had done. This pairing was perfect. I loved that neither of them fought the mating pull. Their story is full of magic, both dark and light, and romance. I absolutely loved it. It's been over 10 years since I bought the very first book of the Dragon Guard series and devoured it in one sitting. (I might have to do another re-read soon) I would never believe it would come this far and still be going strong. Thank you Ms. Mills, for amazing characters that will always hold a dear place in my heart.
So good to finally get Xander out of the shadows. I loved this tortured and damaged soul. This poor guardsman has made a few appearances over this series. Usually in a very dire situation that involved him being incarcerated and/or escaping. To finally have him free and able to pursue his mate was so good. The sadness at his story was so strong for me, his suffering an unbelievable morass of centuries. His stoic strength and belief in his destiny absolute. The fact he and his dragon king Tormey had agreed they needed to separate for safety reasons something that took the utmost strength and fortitude to endure. Greer, our heroine, we have also met before. It was interesting to get her reasons for what she did in a previous book. And to also find out more about her shifter side. Everything that happens follows on from the same previous book. Pity our nasty baddie has escaped again. Cannot wait to read the next instalment by this author. This is my honest review of this book.
Suffering and hopelessness had become Xander's life, but a door seemed to have opened and not only for him. Interesting and full of emotions, the way he and Greer find themselves fighting their enemies. It kept me waiting and suffering for the characters. I haven't read many Guardian stories, and I was impressed by this Berserker's character who had accepted a horrible and dark fate but got more than he ever expected. Lots of action, suspense, strong emotions, despair, surprises, violence and passion.
Once again Julia has taken us on a journey of brilliant dragons meeting their one and only true mate. Suffering one set of torturous captors after another over the span of more then three hundred years Xander has once again escaped but this time the pull of his mate is strong. Can these two people overcome the obstacles that they must face and be together? I absolutely loved this book and would thoroughly recommend it hoping that others enjoy the story of love overcoming all.
Another fantastic story by this amazing author! This one will definitely have your emotions all over the place! Xander was absolutely amazing! Everything he’s been through and he’s still got so much love to give! I’m so happy we get his story and he’s found his HEA! Julia really brings these characters to life and makes you fall for them. Absolutely enjoyable and entertaining read and I highly recommend! This is my honest opinion of this complimentary copy of this book
What a amazing read. I absolutely love Cancer his strength. He had suffered so much but yet he continue and fought so hard. His mate Greer was what he needed even when I question some of the things going on in her head. I journey pulled at my heart so much. The tears fell for Cancer as you could feel all the pain he had suffered threw so so many years of pain. It was a really strong good read
A female balsalic shifter and a male dragon shifter warrior!
A female balsalic shifter goes undercover as a human at an underground hospital while looking for her missing brother. A male dragon shifter warrior is being held prisoner and being tortured by a mad doctor. You will have to read the book to find out what all happens to everyone. So many twists and turns in this story. Happy reading!
The fourth story in the Dragon Guard Berserkers, Xander and Julia's story is one you do not want to miss if you have been reading this series. I would recommend. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

REVIEW
We got a glimpse of Xander in book 3. You don't need to read that book though all of these are standalone stories.
Xander is one of the oldest of Dragons, but he is so much more. These berserkers are like Dragon Guard on steroids. There is a ton of high packed action, and fierce loyalty to their brethren and mates. Xander knows his, although he is blind to a point. He knows in his soul.
Greer is not proud of what she has had to do, and she tries to stay away from Xander although she knows exactly who he is to her. But how can he forgive her.
Blown away by this story. I am happy to say this author is back to her old-school writing days! Which means a much more powerful story. Loved Xander and Greer!!!
