💕 With every read of this story, I fall in love a little more. The Darker Bond version maintains the essence of both the original and the Daylight Edition with some added scenes - both in spice and in darkness.
I’ve said this about the other versions, but I’ll say it again. As the bond between them undoubtedly grows, I love how Gabe and Ollie grow as individuals as they come to learn more about themselves and embrace the path that is laid out ahead of them. How Olympio struggled at the start to see beyond himself, thinking the bond was enough to convince Gabe to leave his entire life behind and accept not only that he was made for this “weirdo” as he called him, but that he was made to rule as Justice and consort to the King of a realm so vastly different from the human world.
The first few chapters detailing Gabriel’s culture shock and defiance are brilliant. As are the final chapters showcasing the true acceptance of his place and his belonging in this new world. Olympio learning to see things from Gabriel’s perspective and desperately trying to find a way to connect with the man he knows was meant for him. To agreeing to let him go knowing it will break him. Because there is no greater show of love than giving someone the world, while accepting in the end, that they may not choose you and having to let them go.
The descriptive imagery of Sefaera is so vivid, I feel like I’ve truly been transported. The grand rooms, the torture chamber, the orchard, the bustling city outside the palace gates. If I could draw, I would paint the world on canvas. The exotic creatures - the meerads, lymere, kormarrin. So full of colour and enchantment.
Every time I read about Vasileios, I cry. This story includes everything from betrayal, rejection, friendships, fear and safety, life and death. People to fall in love with, people for you to hate. Tender moments and dark moments.
Every time Olympio and Gabriel yearn to be better men so they can be worthy of the other’s love, my heart melts a little more, knowing, as the reader, that they already are. And every time I finish the book, I long to read it again.

This book was absolutely beautiful. It made me experience every emotion under the sun, and it's not often that a book can do that.
Let's add to that to the wonderful diverse love story complete with the bisexuality and absolutely beautiful love story that is Ollie and Gabe.
The world building is amazing with so much description that you can imagine everything to the T.
This story is a must for those looking for a good MM Romantasy with a Shadow Daddy, magic, and 'who did this to you?' Vibes!!! Cannot wait for the next book to come out!!!
