Faith Blossom has hit rock bottom. She’s drowning. Broke, demoralised, tired, and alone, she accepts a job that could be the answer to her problems. So long as she can survive a force of nature bent on destroying everything in his path. Reuben Jones. He’s driven, loyal, stern, and unforgiving. Possessive and protective. Grumpy. And he wants to own her. Dominate and control her. Be her Daddy. Her everything. He could be her every dream come true. Or a nightmare that will consume her . . .
Laylah loves reading, but she particularly loves a good romance with some seriously alpha men. Protective, possessive men with large hearts. Writing has become her passion and she hopes her readers enjoy her stories as much as she does writing them.
4.7 stars. 😻🫠 Oh my gosh. Reuben is honestly the sweetest. He’s sooo protective and obsessive and possessive. It’s heartbreaking when he gets scared at the end. And I love that Blossom (yes. I Did forget her first name..shut up. That’s literally what all of the- oh. Faith. It literally just popped into my head as I was typing this. 😂😬 My bad🤷🏻♀️) is so totally not a brat. She’s sassy when she’s comfortable, but the pranks Cat pulls make her a bit uncomfortable since they break the rules so blatantly. It’s sweet. Just. Seeing Reuben, the man who makes the whole of Wishingbone shudder in apprehension when his name is uttered, get his HEA with a girl who’s all sunshine and optimism was just perfect.
Reuben may have resisted his story being told for a long time, but Laylah managed to get it out of him in the end. And what a story it turned out to be,the ARC was so much fun to read!
Grumpy Reuben Jones had a soft spot, and Faith Blossom was the perfect girl to bring it out….right from the moment he first saw her. Even as he tried to resist claiming her,he knew it was futile….she was meant to be his. She needed him as much as he needed her,and he’d do everything he could to show her.
Living in the basement of her “bestie” Cammie and her no good husband Eric wasn’t good for Faith, but she had no choice…. The business she’d had with Matt went bankrupt, and the money her parents had loaned her was gone. With not a dime on her,she needed a place to stay, and Cammie had taken her in,even if Eric didn’t even like Faith. But her luck was about to change…the agency she was working for, sent her to work for this hotshot lawyer. And hopefully she would be the one that managed to stay….because even though Reuben seemed scary and grumpy, she saw a sweet side to him she wanted more of. A side that made her Little feel safe enough to come out and play. A side that made her feel special.
Once Reuben saw her,he knew she was a Little hiding in plain sight. Not only that,he felt a need to claim her straight away, and he’d never had that before. But he needed to be careful,or he’d scare her away…..and that was not acceptable! So,making her agree to move in with him was going to take patience, and that was not something he was used to. A week was all he was ready to give, until she called him for help…. That’s when he lost control, and moved her in with him. But was she safe living with him??
I totally adored Faith, she was such a sweetie! She may have seemed a little too soft at first, but she wasn’t! She trusted people to return to her what she gave to them. Naive, maybe….but not wrong to hope for something like that, right? The way she was harmed, several times, was not right, and it was understandable that those events shook her. But she had Reuben, her Daddy, and he showed her she was stronger than she thought. He showed her how to stand up for herself when she needed to. Even if he wanted to wrap her in bubblewrap to make sure she wasn’t hurt. He may have started out grumpy, but he grew into the Daddy she needed. In fact,i adore him for being so good for,and with, her! He even encouraged Cat to become friends with her, even while he knew she’d be a bad influence. And when she’d met Charlie at the toy store,he allowed him into the small circle of his Little Blossom’s besties, after doing research naturally! Both Reuben and Faith grew emotionally, and became the people they were meant to be….loving, caring, and standing up for themselves and those closest to them.
This is the book I have been waiting for like most of us that read all Laylahs books. Wow, just Wow, Rueben was everything I thought he would be and so much more. Faith and Rueben make the perfect couple, they complement each other perfectly. Laylah did a excellent job on this book!
- an age play romance! dark, mafia romance, instalove, man obsessed, workplace romance, forced proximity! - omg i love Faith so much and i just want to look after her - her friends are horrible tho, they need to get gone - 30 pages in and he’s already given her a nickname hehehe - Reuben’s already so protective of her i love it - the thunder storm!! this book is moving quicker than a normal Laylah Robert’s book - just went 0-100 let me tell ya, and i am not mad - one thing Miss Roberts ALWAYS does amazingly is the age play scenes, perfection all of them - omg i want Faith and Cat to find Charlie a new mummy/daddy 🥺 - honestly so much of this is just their relationship with a bit of side plot for first 70% and i love it - PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD TELL ME CHARLIE WILL GET A BOOK - jesus fucking christ did someone just PUSH her into traffic?! - WELL i didn’t see that plot twist coming - it got WILD with the third act conflict and it was so so good - ANOTHER plot twist - omg i love that Reuben got her to reunite with her family!! - and Matt finally got what was coming to him! we love when everything is wrapped up nicely - i do wish we’d had the scene Juliette has come down tho - I LOVED THIS SO MUCH!! i have been waiting for this story and it didn’t disappoint in the slightest
This was not a bad book, but I kind of felt like all the lead up to Reuben’s story left this one lacking somewhat. I expected him to be much more intense.
I would have liked to see Faith meet Juliet (and Gwen) too. I can’t imagine him going months not introducing the 3 women he is closest with.

Wow!! I eagerly await any new book written by Ms. Roberts. This is Reubens's story, and I started to feel that there would not be a little who could put up with his controlling and protective manner, but I was wrong. They say opposites attract, and that was never more evident than with Reuben and Faith.
He was the irrepressible Reuben. The prince of darkness who thrived on danger and control until Faith fell into his lap. He may have been a tyrant sometimes, but he soon warmed up to his little Blossom. Yes, the rules he had for Faith increased daily, but he was always there comforting her. If anything, I think he had more rules and was stricter than any of the other daddies I have encountered.
Faith’s life was in shambles. She was living in a friend's basement, which filled her with nightmares. She was so fragile, and she had a lot to deal with. She walked a fine line between fear and vulnerability. My heart aches for her, and I loved how she used Reuben to soothe herself. The more time she spent with Reuben, the less stressed she became, but she still had trouble letting go of things that were out of her control. I loved how she grew a backbone, stood up for herself more and felt comfortable enough with Reuben to spend time in little space.
I don't think that I will ever get bored with this series. There will be different characters and storylines, but the books hold a special place in my heart. I also enjoyed the inclusion of Alejandro, Cat, and the rest of the characters who played an essential role in adding depth to the storyline.
I think a lot of readers were waiting not so patiently for Rueben's story, the same as we did for The Fox...and Laylah didn't disappoint!
I love that she give us characters like this who are sprinkled throughout a series (or more than one) and we find ourselves wanting their story more and more with each glimpse...she knows how to hook us!
Rueben surprised me, he was the grumpy, abrasive, take no Schmidt lawyer I expected but his Daddy side was so much softer than I ever could imagine. (Don't worry he still had a firm hand, pun intended)
Faith was really dealt a crap hand...and crossing paths with Rueben was the best thing to happen to her. Watching her blossom (hehe iykyk) and gain true friends and acceptance as who she truly is was a lot of fun to read.
There was some drama in this story...some I could see how it would play out, and other stuff I was surprised to see how it unfolded...but it all really fit the world they lived in and the life that Rueben leads.
Loved every minute of this book and am so ready for whatever Laylah has in store for us next.
I wasn’t sure what to expect for Rubens book, but it wasn't this. It's an okay book. I have read it again, and its still decent, just not something I'll read obsessively.
We’ve seen Ruben through several of the previous books and series. We know he’s no-nonsense, over protective and just overall likes to be in full control of everything and everyone he deems important to him. Faith blossom is a cute FMC, but I was expecting her to be a bit more broken.
To me, Faith had grown up pretty idealistic. She had loving parents and brothers. She had a boyfriend and a successful business. When things went wrong, she ran away. She felt like a disappointment to her parents, and felt guilty for losing the money her family had invested in her business.
When Reuben meets her, she’s not in the best headspace or living situation that she could have been in. She's far from home, living in her best friend's basement and trying to stay out of her best friend's husband's way, as he clearly doesn't like her and doesn't want her there. She's also sending money back home to both her family and her ex boyfriend to pay them for the money they lost. She's not eating correctly, and just overall not taking care of herself like she should be. She's lonely, guilt ridden and just doesn't want to disappoint anyone.
For Reuben, it was insta-love for him, but he tried to fight it. Faith feels attracted to him, but she's not really in the same headspace to think a successful lawyer like him would want poor little country girl like her. She's crap as an assistant, but he keeps her around so he can take care of her.
This isn't a dark mafia romance. It's more of a light morally gray romance. The whole story could have been fleshed out more, as I feel the resolution for her personally, and the out of left field subplot could have been more. The subplot could have been removed completely, with no loss to the actual story.
I could see this premise, especially the subplot, be fleshed out more as a dark mafia romance. Or even just a bit darker morally grey. He's the lawyer for a mafia boss, yet we don't really see much happening with that. Other than the mafia boss has a bunch of security guards. I know dark mafia isn't the type of books she writes, so I'll take what I can get.
I did like seeing Cat again, and the introduction of Charlie. I would like to see Charlie get with Rafael, and possibly a female Little, as well. If Faith and Cat actually do set up the matchmaking app, I'd like to see a possible series from that. They can pop in and out, and we'd get a glimpse of their lives.
Overall, it's a decent book. It's not 5 star worthy, but it's not something that I'll probably forget about and never read it again. I'll definitely read it again, and already have, but that's more on how I tend to binge read a series, and not necessarily on how great the book is as a standalone It's decent, gives us a story of a character we've been wanting for ages, and introduced us to new characters and possibly set up a scenario for a new series (the matchmaking app). It did the job and at the end of the day, that's all we can really ask for.
Finally, we get Reuben's story, and while I was sincerely anticipating it, for a number of reasons, I liked it but didn't love it. I'll get to the reasons for my 4-star rather than 5-star review shortly.
First, the heroine, Faith Blossom, has one lifelong best friend, Cammie, but she is being treated like garbage by Cammie's husband, Eric, Cammie's creep of an abusive husband who has Faith sleeping on a lumpy sofa in a damp basement full of mold and mice--and making her pay her hard-earned dollars as rent for the privilege. What kind of best friend does that?
It was impossible not to fall in love with Faith's Little, Blossom, portrayed perfectly by Ms. Roberts--she's sweet, shy, funny, and often afraid to let her Little out, but Reuben falls for her as soon as he sets his eyes on her--and while I'm not a fan of instalove, I did loved the slow build-up to Faith's relationship with Reuben because Faith does have a mind of her own, and an admirable set of character traits--honesty, caring, decency, and compassion for others among them.
While I already know from the previous novels in this series, that Reuben is a crime boss, it's a side of him that wasn't fully explored in this novel. Whatever bad or illegal things he does, mostly as restitution/revenge for anyone who dares to betray him or hurt Faith, happen off-screen, and I would have loved to see just how he dealt with Eric, who deserved whatever punishment Reuben devised.
Additionally, I wanted to see more of Juliet, Reuben's sister, and her men. She's been mentioned so often in this series that I was disappointed that Faith never got to spend any time with her. And I wanted to see more of Reuben as well. Most of the novel was told from Faith's point of view, and I wish the author would have given us more of Reuben--how he became a crime boss and a Daddy Dom. We only get to see his caring, possessive, and protective nature as he deals with Faith, but we never learn why he's not had previous Littles as an aside--they weren't worthy of his attention. It felt like a cop-out to this reader, and I think some of his history would have enhanced this novel and our understanding of his character.
Finally, with the length of this novel, nearly 600 pages, it didn't have much momentum, with almost all the action scenes happening nearly the end of book. Nevertheless, it was a still a very good read, it certainly held my interest, and as far as the DDlg trope goes, Laylah Roberts does it better than anyone I can think of.
I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions stated are my own.
I don’t think a smutty romance book is supposed to be as healing as this was for me. I resonated so very much with Faith, wanting so badly to be a good person and people taking advantage of that. She had to learn that just because someone is nice, it doesn’t mean they have good intentions. And then here comes Mr. Big Bad Wolf, my new book husband, Reuben. Oh my gosh, he was everything Faith needed (and every red flag I freaking love). He’s terrorized people throughout many of Laylah’s books, and we finally see him become Daddy to his perfect Little.
Faith might be a terrible assistant, but she calls to Reuben in a way he wasn’t prepared for. He is all about control, and Faith desperately needs someone to take charge when her judgement isn’t the best. Too bad Reuben is not, in fact, all powerful. Bad things happen to Faith over and over, no matter how hard he tries to take care of her. These two learn to trust, communicate, compromise (yeah, our supposedly rigid hero hates that), and let down the walls that kept them safe.
I love EVERYTHING about this book! MMC: absolute unhinged perfection FMC: sweet, naive, and growing stronger daily Side characters: so funny! I always love Cat and her shenanigans, and we meet Charlie who is adorable. Spice: so hot, from rewards to punishments and everything in between.
Please can we get a Charlie book! I loved him from his very first scene and need to see him get his HEA!
I rarely buy physical copies of books but I’m adding this to my bookshelves. And possibly (definitely) rereading it immediately.
10/10 recommend if you like a dark, morally grey Daddy and a sunshine Little.
ATTENTION: The rating is because the book, as always, is good. BUT it's not the rating I would give for what I was hoping for. This book wasn’t what I expected and I tell you here why: I am so disappointed right now 😭 I hoped that Reuben's long-awaited book would be as perfect as our Fox's, but no. While The Fox's book had closure with almost -if not all- the other characters he interacted with throughout the series, Reuben's book was very far from that. I expected more interaction between his and Juliet's beautiful sibling relationship, as well as with his friendship with Xavier, and especially more about REUBEN's past. My Reuben wasn't the main character in his own book, Faith had almost all the POVs and when it was his turn it was quickly. Everything revolved around Faith, which doesn't mean the book was bad, but it wasn't what I was expecting. This was Reuben's time to have his shining moment, I believe that all the readers who were waiting for his book wanted to read it because of HIM and the focus on his story and not Faith's. Poor Gwen didn't even have a hand in it, their relationship is just told and not showed. Much less Juliet when he visited her. This book has almost 600 pages, for Faith story it was more than it needed, but if it had focused more on Reuben I think it could have had more pages like in The Fox's book and it wouldn't have been too much because he’s been floated in many books in the past and and closure with the others characters would be so good to read. When I finished Reuben's book I was sad because I had the feeling that I read his book without having actually read his book. The good part was that Faith is THE perfect Little for him, Layla couldn't have chosen someone better. I wish I could be her Beta/Alpha reader.
A bit boring at first and wasn’t keen on either of the mc’s.
Once the book got going it was really good, it was boring at first. When the book first starts I found myself getting really annoyed with Faith as she’s an idiot. Everyone just takes advantage of her and walks all over her. She’s living in her friends damp, mouldy basement that has mice and her friends husband treats her awfully, but she just puts up with it. She ran a business with her ex who was her daddy and I knew straight away that he’d been pinching her money. She’s just too annoying at first.
Then there’s Reuben. When Faith first goes to work for Reuben as his assistant, he’s horrid to her. So cold and unfeeling. Reuben we first met in his Juliette’s book and the author described him as horrid. Everyone in Juliette’s town hates Reuben and he’s fell out with everyone there, so I was a bit worried about reading this. As Reuben warms to Faith and they start a relationship I found myself missing Cat and Alejandro. As it felt really stilted and Faith at first is really boring.
As the book goes on it got a lot better and I found myself liking both of them. Phew. There is a tiny bit of danger but it isn’t much. The sex scenes are really really hot! Wow!
While I enjoyed it, there is a lot of spelling mistakes, and missing words. I’ve no clue how old Reuben is and that’s really annoying. Some of the plot didn’t make any sense. Why didn’t Faith ever talk to her parents and brothers who she was really close to? I know the author sort of explained it but it doesn’t make sense. Some of the plot wasn’t finished off. It never explained what happened to certain people.
Great read, strong plot with lots of activity and the greatest littles and their daddies This was a wonderful read and I loved the interaction between Reuben and his new assistant which is called Faith Blossom which he initially thought was a ridiculous name and she was a ridiculous handful. Blossom is so cute and he cannot help it he just feels his heart melt at the Little that has become his assistant, she was not good at he jobs but he knew that he had finally found his special girl, the little he had hoped for but never believed he would ever find and he had found his dream little and would ensure that she was kept safe and that no one would ever hurt her. As you read this book you will be amazed at how king Blossom is and how terribly she has allowed her best friend and her husband. Eric hates her and he has made her stay in a basement with no heating, there was no food and yet the charged $300 a week which was extortion. I guarantee that you will simply love this book, the interaction between Reuben and Blossom and it is also nice to read about some old characters as well from his sister Juliettes small town. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

Daddy’s Soul is the fourth book of the Crime Boss Daddies series of interconnected standalones. We finally have Reuben’s story and I loved every bit of it! Faith is down on her luck and living with her best friend. She finds a job working for a man that doesn’t keep assistants for long…he is hard to work for. But he has a soft spot for Faith…I knew he was going to be a marshmallow! He falls fast and hard for Faith but she has insecurities from everything that has happened in her past. But with Reuben by her side she grows stronger each day. These two were so perfect for each other! I loved that Faith’s sassy side came out the more she grew to trust Reuben and that she brought out his softer side. I also loved getting more of Cat and Alejandro! This book sucked me in from the beginning and I couldn’t put it down…finished it at three in the morning! I’m so glad to finally have gotten Reuben’s story and can’t wait to see what else Laylah brings us. I’m hoping we will be getting Charlie’s story soon!
I have been waiting for forever, it seems for Reuben Jone’s story. And it was so worth the wait! I tried to read slowly so I could savor the book, but it flowed so easily and held my attention so well, I ended up reading it quickly. Daddy’s Soul had everything I could want and hope for in a Caregiver/little story - gruff, over-protective Daddy who would kill anyone who hurts or threatens his little, a sweet and loving little who helps tame the beast, mystery and drama, laughter and antics from mischievous littles. Faith and Reuben were perfect together. They balance each other and I couldn’t help but smile while I was reading. I loved the glimpses of characters from previous books and the introduction of new characters that I want to read more about. Laylah Roberts is one of my auto-buy authors and with each book she keeps proving why she is on that list.
There is something about the way Laylah Roberts writes that has this absolute way of not merely drawing you into her books but completely sucking you into a vortex of being in the story not merely reading the words. I felt completely surrounded by a work blanket hearing about what was happening to old friends. Reuben and Faith are a wonderful pairing. The love they share sweeps you of your feet with a deep desire of wanting a Reuben all of your own even an Alhandro (sorry can't spell his name and none of my devices seemed to be able to spell it correctly either) Thank you so much Ms Laylah Roberts for writing another book for me to totally fall in love with and I can't wait for Immy's story . Though to be totally honest I can't wait for all of your stories they really are perfect for lifting a person up and making them smile and feel happy. Thank you again.
This was a good book, but nothing special for me. From all the books I’ve read from the author ( MC daddies and Crime boss daddies) this wasn’t the worst but not the best either. Considering how intense Reuben’s character has been, this story didn’t really do him justice. (Pun intended, you know cause he’s a lawyer 😂) He was sweet and bossy but felt a bit timid and that intense feeling from the previous books didn’t really come through here. The story itself was interesting but maybe a bit more on the domestic side. Plus the plot and conclusions were just revealed in conversations or explained afterwards.
Overall it was still a good book, and worth reading. We got to see a lot of side characters, introducing new ones as well, which makes you guess who’ll get their own story. (I’m holding my breath to finally get Nighthawk’s story)
So yeah, solid read but not high on my would reread list.
After a long awaited period we finally get Reuben story. Reuben has been told that he needs an assistant, but the assistants that he has had before have all left. Faith is down in the dumps she has no job as her last business went bust then she gets the opportunity of been an assistant. Only she finds out that Reuben is Grumpy and sometimes Gruff, however there is something between them both that is building. Even though he has fired her twice she soon finds out that he is a daddy dom ready to daddy her little.
This story is so so good, we hear from characters from other stories including out dear Cat who has to meet Faith and as you know what Cat wants she generally gets from her Papi. Honestly you dont want to miss out on this story it really is a must read for all those who have been eagerly awaiting Reubens story. It has more than surpassed my expectations.
Perfectly titled!! I love Rueben’s focus on Faith!
I could read a Faith and Reuben story every day! They pulled me into their world and showed me what love should always feel like. Laylah Roberts has that effect on my emotions with her writing. Reuben seemed like an enigma in each story: ruthless, protective, and taciturn, but Faith sees him for the true man inside- hers! She’s better with him, even stronger and safe enough to show her true self. Rueben’s love for her is all encompassing and his protective qualities shine!
I loved the pace of relationship: a recognition of each other, their chemistry is beautiful and exquisitely naughty, and the communication between them is realistic as they open up their hearts. It was great seeing Cat and her family of protectors: she continues her mission of chaos and love! I’m looking forward to Charlie’s quest for his happiness! This was one of my favorites!
I absolutely loved the other books in this series and Cat & Alejandro! I'm so happy they made appearances in every book. This book, though, was a bit....boring 😬. I wasn't really connecting Faith and Ruebens feelings for each other. I also didn't understand WHY her roommate Cammie "needed the money" and bullied Faith right along with Eric, even after Eric was beating up on them both! It seemed like every woman outside of the Littles group was written as an enemy, and I tend not to like that. Yes, women can also be villains too but everyone in her life screwed her over? Or was extremely rude and attacked her. Lol 😅 Faith is definitely written as a victim, and someone is always harassing or harming her (Cammie, Eric, Shelby, Matt, Lou and Kristina). She also tends to constantly trip, spill, or break things - it gets old pretty pretty quick
I've been waiting for Reuben's story for awhile and now it's here. I loved it so much. He is so grumpy and along comes Faith. I adored her but she's had a lot of bad luck lately. When she gets hired to work for Reuben, it's scary but she needs the job to move out of the basement she's living in at her "friends" house. You'll discover as you read why Cammi isn't much of a friend. I wanted to smack her and her yucky husband around. But someone is after Reuben by way of trying to hurt those he loves. Now he needs to keep Faith safe and everyone else in his life. This story had me pulled in from the first page. I loved it so much and I really want Charlie to get his story..............maybe in the future we will!!
I loved everything about this book. I love that this author writes a nice long story because we get a great in depth exploration of these characters. Any fans of Ms. Roberts know Rueben, but now we get more, seeing how much he needs to be an OTT Protector. And Faith/Little Blossom (love, love, love this nickname) has a need to ALWAYS be a good girl, never wanting to be a disappointment to anyone and the ultimate people pleaser. I was laughing throughout this story, but it drew out my heartfelt emotions as well. I am all in with the morally grey character when his number one priority is his partner. This story fulfilled all my hopes and expectations and I absolutely loved the HEA. Of course as always I'm clamoring for the next story.
Faith Blossom 🌼🌸🌼 it’s a perfect name for a Beautiful,Troubled and Big Hearted little.Faith is a small town girl running from Her troubles living in the Big City with Her Friend and the conditions are not good. Ruben Jones(lonely) High Powered Layer slightly questionable ( but also a very good guy in disguise) is in need of an Assistant.Faith has no experience as an assistant but she is desperate.Ruben knows he shouldn’t hire her she is such an innocent but he just can’t seem to let her go.Faith is in need of someone to guide and protect her and Ruben knows he is just the man for the job.Along the way we see old Friends and meet a very special new friend. This book was definitely worth waiting for ❤️😍
Reuben's book had to be the most anticipated book in both series and it was so worth the wait. Cat has been on Reuben to get some help, but Reuben kept running the temps off. Faith is a little whose business failed and she moves to get away from her failure. While staying with her friend she takes the temp job working for Reuben. Reuben is attracted to Faith right away and tries to fight his attraction to her. However, he keeps doing "daddy like" things for her. Faith is way to trusting and is in a horrible living situation with her friend. When someone from Reuben's past comes for him they target Faith. Reuben will move heaven and earth to protect those he loves. Reuben's story was very heart felt and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.
I received an ARC Copy from the author and this is my honest review. This book was on of the most requested characters developed by the author. This story is Grumpy/Sunshine which is the author's signature trope. She also is the master of side characters that either make you want to go back and read their stories or hope that she will develop a story for them. It is not quite a slow-burn but when the spice happens it is much anticipated.
This story is long and might require a second read to get all the hidden plot points.
I just loved Ruben and Faith's book. I knew that he would catch the Little who really needed him and Faith really did. They had the chemistry off the charts. Faith was a little down on Hee luck living with her "bestie," or is she? The living conditions or the pits and no bestie would have their friend live like that. She goes to work for Ruben, who wants, but doesn't want a Little at the same time. You can't choose who you love, and they fell fast. There is drama and boy there was some drama, we see some of Cats shenanigans again and we gotta love her and meet another little. Oh boy, do I hope they find their Daddy and maybe another little. Another win....
Oh boy! What a story! I’ve loved Reuben’s character from the first time he was introduced to me. All rough and gruff, but had a complete caring side to him for those he loved. He wasn’t looking for his forever Little until he meets Faith. She completely enamored him from first sight, not that he would admit it. Faith is so refreshing and I instantly fell in love with her. I couldn’t get enough of reading about their journey into a relationship. Their witty banter made me laugh out loud! And the chemistry??!! Smoking hot! I loved everything about this story!!!
DNF @ 47%. This was…bad. Which was confusing because I’ve read other books by Laylah Roberts and absolutely loved them. Motorcycle Daddy from her MC Daddies series lives rent free in my head. It’s one of my gold standards for DDLG, and this was just not it. The first book in this series was great!! But this was kinda trash and I kept waiting for it to get better but I finally gave up about halfway through. MMC felt like a poor imitation of what his character could have been and the FMC felt very two-dimensional. Also, could not get past the MMC nickname of “Little Blossom” for the FMC. Truly baffled on how this has such a high rating.
Loved the story from the moment I started reading. It’s fast paced with a lot of twist and turns. Not everyone is who they appear to be. There is danger and Reuben is obsessed with keeping Faith safe. I also enjoyed when her Little appears and how Reuben nurtured this side of her. it’s a great story with some amazing secondary characters, especially Cat who is like a tornado on the loose. Definitely a story worth reading. I would love for Charlie to get his happy ending. I received a free copy of this book via Bookfunnel and are voluntarily leaving a review.
