Rate this book
It's about to get messy fast, but the journey will be worth it.

Skye Clemons doesn't believe in happy ever afters, but the future looks bright when she is accepted to study at Sloanville University. She's following her dreams, officially has a boyfriend, and has reconnected with her long-lost father. Everything is finally looking up, except Skye knows that her whole life is about to change.

For starters, her relationship with Rory Keaton will be put to the ultimate test. Can they survive being in a long-distance relationship, or will the distance ruin them? Things only get more complicated when Grayson Swain waltzes back into the picture. Skye keeps bumping into him around campus, and fate seems to be drawing them closer together.

Whilst Skye is finally moving on from her turbulent pass, Rory is forced to deal with his issues back at home, particularly his rivalry with Kyle, who will stop at nothing to get his revenge, even if it means putting everyone Rory loves in danger.

In the end, Skye has a decision to make that will determine what path she's meant to take and where her heart truly belongs.

My name is Bryony Sier, and I'm from a small town called Merthyr Tydfil in South Wales. I released my first novel 'From Opposite Sides,' in June of this year, and I have just finished writing the sequel.

I have been writing stories since a very young age. I struggled so much in high school to fit in and was bullied. I turned to songwriting and storytelling, which saved me from the harsh reality of what was currently going on around me. I would spend all my time writing stories and music, which became a healthy way of channelling my emotions and feelings and putting them down on paper.

When I'm not writing books or reading, I am writing songs, playing the guitar and singing to crowds of people from all over the UK.

Where do I begin with this book? It had me laughing uncontrollably one moment and shedding tears like a child the next. I never imagined the character could undergo such profound development. Skye is truly remarkable! The author has crafted her character with such finesse. There are moments when I want to shout, "You're incredible, Skye, stop underestimating yourself!" However, it poignantly portrays how trauma can impact one's self-esteem. Skye's bond with animals is heartwarming. And Batman? He's just iconic! His mischief parallels Skye's perception of life. Throughout the book, I was eagerly awaiting the moment when Rory and Skye would finally confront their feelings. They are undoubtedly meant to be!

The nods to "Gossip Girl" and "Bridgerton" were delightful. As for Shadowscribe, I have my suspicions.

Yet another deserving 5-star read! The author's talent shines through, and I'll definitely be adding these books to my bookcase with pride. 🌟❤️

This felt like a super quick read for me although a book of this size usually takes me a couple of days, I smashed this out in one day.

After reading book 1, I was really looking forward to how things ended up for Skye and Rory.

I definitely felt the teenage angst all round but I really enjoyed the read and loved the epilogue. In terms of a YA read this was very enjoyable.

I hope there is more to come from all the gang, especially hoping Grayson and Josie get a happy ending!
