Not For Me . . .
Sabrina Trent goes on a blind date and the guy practically ignored her. He’s been reading his newspaper for the past 10 minutes!! She clears her throat and he doesn’t even look up. So she rips the paper out of his hands and throws it away, telling him not to bother showing up for a date if he doesn’t want to be on one! Then she left the hotel… only to run into her abusive cheating ex-boyfriend Ezra who hasn’t gotten the message that he is her EX for a reason! He grabbed her and held tightly onto her hands to keep her from walking away. And as he gets angrier that she dressed up for another man, he squeezes her hand painfully as he smiles when he sees her tears. Suddenly her blind date and two bodyguards walk over to her and force Ezra to release her hand. To her surprise, her date calmly threatens to snap Ezra in half if he touches HIS girlfriend again! (She sees his face for the first time and I think she goes into heat…)
He was going to return her home, but saw the bruises on her hand and instead took her to a very expensive hotel where he was staying so he could “look at it”? (A bruise cannot be healed by looking, nor is there any other obvious treatment except time for it to fade away.) But the company Sabrina works for, Titans Enterprises, owns this chain of hotels, and she knows how expensive it is to stay here. So she doesn’t protest, since she is curious about visiting the hotel. They still don’t know each other’s name! Then he pulls a cotton swap with ointment on it to treat her bruise… while shivers run through her body? He continues to “clean” her bruise? She figures he wants to kiss her, so she kisses him. But his lips are unmoving under hers as she realizes he is not kissing her back. So she apologizes and runs to the door of his room, but he says he wanted that kiss too. (I’m ready to give up on these strange characters.) There are many complications that will arise as their story continues and multiple tropes will be trotted out to add a little complexity to their relationship. But for me, I was reading words and not feeling any emotions. This book just didn’t work for me.

This was an off limits age gap romance.
I enjoyed this steamy story though the level of drama was a bit much for my taste. The characters were relatable and well developed.
Sabrina Trent works in the marketing department of his company. Her best friend/roommate Candace is his younger sister. She has a sickly younger brother who she helps support.
Damian Carlson is the billionaire CEO of Titans Enterprises. He is divorced and a bit of a controlling grump. He brought his family's business back from the brink of ruin. His best friend Steve works as a VP in the company though he calls Steve his "assistant" to annoy him.
Sabrina was setup on a blind date. She got annoyed with him for ignoring her and stormed out of the restaurant only to bump into her abusive ex Ezra. Damian was setup on a blind date by his father. He ignored Sabrina when she say at his table because his date was a blonde and she was a brunette. He rescued her from Ezra and takes her to his hotel suite to treat her bruises. She kisses him and they hook up but she leaves before he wakes. He can't get her off his mind and tells Steve to find her. Damian moved into the NY office of his company when he finds out she works for him. She pretends at first to not know him. They hook up but then he goes hot & cold on her. He puts her in charge of a big project but she runs out on the presentation when her brother gets hospitalized. When she gets back to work he fired her in front of the whole company. Candy asks him to help her so he hired her to be his secretary on a trip to Italy. Their exes show up to cause trouble and she flees home. She and her family move away and he goes crazy trying to find her. They finally reconcile, have a baby and get their HEA.

Blind date mix-up! The best thing that ever happened to Sabrina was that who she thought was her blind date was not! She is not the blonde Damian is expecting, so he ignores her. Sabrina thinks he's rude and she walks out. Could this night get any worse? Is running into your abusive ex qualify as worse? Yup! Thankfully Damian witnesses her plight and saves her.

Although Damian & Sabrina's chemistry can't be denied, Damian is frustrated that he has no control of the emotions that Sabrina evokes. Sabrina has no trust in their secret relationship. As good as things get, it's as bad as it gets!

I have to admit that this was not what I consider to be a well done book and I did not enjoy reading the story, it left me dissatisfied and with a headache. I feel awful saying that about an author's book, but in this case, it's the truth. This book needs serious editing and a rewrite. There are grammatical errors, word choice errors, and the writing style is SO awkward, the story does not flow at all. There is no chemistry between the characters, the sex scenes are bland, vanilla, and not hot, I don't even remember them. I could not even get into the story because it is presented in such a disorganized and chaotic way, it's impossible to enjoy and you wind up skimming the book. Unfortunatly I do not recommend this book and am not even going to bother writing a summary of it. This story is just a no and I doubt I will read anything in the future by this author.

I found this book to have a great storyline that held my attention. I read it in only a day. Damien and Sabrina became acquainted in a very unusual circumstance, and the truth about it is revealed much later. Then suddenly she finds out she works for him. To top it off, her best friend since college, Candy, is in the family business. Who is not telling the truth? Maybe I should ask, who IS telling the truth. Whew!! The only thing left to figure out is if Mark, Sabrina’s brother, is going to make it! Wait…there is so much more. You have to find out for yourself.

Wowsa this book is absolutely fantastic and will definitely have you enthralled from the beginning until the end and still left wanting more from them. Damian and Sabrina meet on blind date and doesn't go well but when her crazy ex gets s hold of her will Damian help her in time to get away? This book is best friends brother / boss taboo with crazy ex wife. sabrina meets Damian and he rescues her from her crazy ex boyfriend but when lines get crossed and she finds out he is her boss and best friends brother will she be able to walk away from him? Great story with all the right feels and so much more.

Started out good
Spoilers... There just wasn't a lot of meat to this story. It started out okay, but by the end, I was annoyed at Sabrina. She was a basketcase. They fell in love, but there didn't seem to be more than a physical attraction the whole time. It's like they were in lust, not in love. When they first decided to date, she got mad because he had been married and hadn't told her. Come on, his past is his past... it's not like they had spent enough time together to get into the hard emotional baggage discussions. She just believed his ex and didn't hear him out at all. It was just so superficial. I wouldn't recommend.

This book was awesome. I had a hard time putting it down to go to bed. This book made me cry when their exes came in between them and made them separate. Damian and Sabrina have had ups and downs like most relationships but they overcome them. The friendship and brother/sister relationship with Candy was really tested and took intervention from the dad to bring them all back together. It took a little bit of time before they realize that they are in love with each other.

Instant attraction and hot, steamy passion are always a good way to start a story. Add in a villainous ex and mistaken identity the story gets even better.
This story of Sabrina and Damian from the blind date to the end was wonderful to read and had interesting, strong characters and drama galore.

A blind date turns into a one night stand. Little does Sabrina know that her one night stand is her best friend's brother Damian. Sabrina keeps debating if she should tell her best friend Candy or not. Two people from both Sabrina and Damian’s past show up and put a dent in their very complicated relationship. Things get a little bit more complicated after that and it tore at my heart strings. I was not able to put this book down once I read what was going on in their lives. Wonderful read.

There is nothing better than reading a wonderful book by a really wonderful author. Luna has an AMAZING way of grabbing your full attention and your heart when you start to read her books. The characters in this story will sweep you off your feet and not put you down until the end.

this book was an ok read very frustrating with the deception and the "Oh my I slept with my best friends brother" and yet kept doing it feeling guilty ... and then not trusting one or the other ,, By the time I was done i was so happy.. I'd like to give it 2 stars but . Authors put so much heart into their work i feel horrible with a 2 star choice ... Unless they truly need it.

Liked but Not Loved
I, actually, really liked this book. There was the perfect amount of details, getting to know the couple and the drama with ex's. I wish it didn't take 4 months for them to resolve their issues, but I'm glad they finally did. I, also, wanted a bit more before the epilouge, but the end was fine the way it was.

I loved this book! I picked it up at a bookstore in Payson, AZ when I was in town. Just got around to reading it and I was captivated! I could have read this in one sitting if it was possible! I liked the romance, spice, drama and redemption arc! I look forward to reading more from Luna Davis!
