Powerful people pulled strings for me when I learned my family, my foster brothers, needed help. Those strings came with a cost. I might no longer be active duty, but I’m still the property of the government. I’m willing to pay that price, especially when the missions I complete buy favors that keep my brothers safe.
When a mission goes sideways, I end up rescuing a young man and woman who have been kept as a madman’s pets. The three of us form a bond during our escape, and I’ll cash in every favor I’m owed to protect and keep them with me. I know if I get them home, my brothers in the Ghost Born MC will welcome the duo.
Grey and Blu may be out of the clutches of a madman, but they’re mine now. And what I claim, I keep.
Ride with the men of Ghost Born MC in this new series by Layne Daniels and T.O. Smith.
Usually when I pop a pic to the top of my review it's a cover or fun graphic. This time, it's the author's content warning (CW). She was kind enough to put it out there, so I'm doing the same.
I must admit, I had NO idea what I was walking into when I started this book. I have this funny habit of rarely reading blurbs, which has only bit me a few times over the years. In this case, it didn't bite me but oh, what a rabbit hole I've journeyed into.
I came into this thinking Layne + MC = some fiery Daddy biker to light my world. Yep, sign me up. ✅️
All of that's true but there's so much more to it, and it's absolutely nothing like I expected. Layne managed to rip my heart out from chapter 1. I'm still taking inventory to make sure I got all the pieces back. 🩶 💔 💙
I know he says he’s not a superhero, but it sure feels like he’s ours. -- Grey
Konrad (Bender, Superhero) Denton with his "big boss energy" is so incredibly amazing. I love how gentle and patient he is with Grey (Peanut) and manages to win his trust. Blu (Jellybean) isn't easily swayed and it's fun watching Kon navigate her sass.
Kon isn't explicitly called Daddy but all the care for and nurturing of his littles is there. I swear, he'd have them in bubble wrap if he thought it would protect them better.
H = 30s?; h-girl = 20 or so; h-boy = 18+ but not much more (Yes, I know lower case h typically has a different definition, but Grey is so childlike despite everything that this felt more appropriate.)

Bender is book 2 of the Ghost Born MC series. It's a short and steamy, age-gap, bi-awakening, MMF, MC somewhat dark romance. Bender aka Konrad is a member of the Ghost Riders MC, an MC formed of found family who had tough lives and no other family. He's a hunky, burly, ex-military man who still does classified contract work for government agencies. This story really pulled at the heart strings and was more serious and dark than expected, but very good. Blu (female) and Grey (male), self-named by their eye color, are victims of human trafficking when they are rescued by Konrad. The horrors they went through are ghastly and unspeakable. Konrad feels an instant need to take care of them and bonds with them. The three become a throuple, and the level of love, care, compassion, and feeling of safety and protection that Konrad gives them is everything. I struggled a bit with the child-like state of the victims, but they are clearly adults, and the sensitive topics of consent, wants, and needs are handled well. The chemistry between the three was hot, and when they finally came together as a true throuple, it was amazing. This is an emotional roller-coaster for sure. I can't wait for the next book and now have to read the first one!.

A lot darker story than I was anticipating, but still really good. I almost feel bad that the story turned me on, when there was so much hurt that was evidently obvious for Grey and Blu. But Bender, for all his gruff exterior, has the biggest soft spot for these two and loves them both fiercely. I didn't realize that this was part of a series, so I need to go back and read book 1 as there appears to be an overarching theme in the books that is supposed to continue into the later books. I'm thinking this will be a serious that I'll enjoy very much.

Bender, aka Konrad, rescues Grey and Blu during a black ops mission. He feels an immediate need to care for them: something he’s never experienced before. Grey has known little more than sexual and physical abuse his entire life while Blu was trafficked as a teenager. Together they have supported each other as much as possible, suffered abuse from their master, and protected each other.
Layne Daniels tells this story with sensitivity through dialogue and narrative that focuses on the effects of Konrad’s care for Grey and Blu. I loved how he built their relationship with trust, compassion, and love. He wasn’t afraid to show his vulnerability and that helped develop and define the mental, physical, and sexual connection between the three of them. Im loving this series, the characters are flawed but realistic, and the love they show each other is amazing.

This book is good, but I’m not 100% sure how I feel about it. It’s kind of a mind warp. First, there are triggers and this book is not safe. There’s no cheating, but there is sharing and there is implied previous off page S.A. The upshot of the story is that Bender rescues a young woman (Blu) and a young man (Grey). The three enter a romantic relationship. Blu and Grey are adults- that’s made clear. But how mature they are is a little fuzzy, and I’m not sure how I feel about that. Nevertheless, the love between them is a strong bond, and if you’re into MMF zexytime scenes, this book has them. Also, the book is very clear about ensuring consent, and I 100% approve of that. Appearances by other characters from the series, particularly fan favorite Ace.

Subjects not for everyone....but it is a great read
Bender by Layne Daniels is part of the Ghost Born MC series, with each book written by either Layne or T.O. Smith, who I have never read before. So I will first admit that some of the matter in this book is not what I really read, but as I always enjoy stories by Layne Daniels I thought I would try this one. While I did enjoy the book and the characters, it can be a bit disturbing at times so be sure you read the warnings beforehand. The story does have a lot of rougher emotions that are dealt with, some softer moments along the way and a man who is ready to lay it all down for the people he loves and protects.
This is not the kind of story I usually read but the author treats mental, physical and emotional abuse with empathic caring and love. Bender aka Kordon rescues Grey and Blu from an abusive master and claims them as his own. I loved how he gave them choices, how he was sympathetic and treated them with dignity. He was the best protector for them and they all learned to care and love each other. This story is not for everyone but I loved it.

I thought that this was a good book. I enjoyed the instant connection and chemistry between Blu, Grey and Konrad. These three are an unlikely throuple but they meet in less than favor manner but that didn't stop them from falling hard for each other. Blu and Grey have a lot of healing to do and Konrad is there to help them along the way. I did enjoyed this book and am looking forward to more from this series.

Bender is part of a motorcycle club and operates off the books for an "alphabet" government agency. When he is on a missing he encounters Blu and Grey and there is an instant connection. Blu and Grey are almost childlike in their behavior because of their experiences and Bender is so sweet when caring for them! Every action once he meets them is about their consent and what is best for them and it turns this hardened man into a cinnamon roll man:) Overall a good novel...I just wish it was longer!
Bender finds two captive on a job and decides to keep them. I love how he knows how to handle Blu and Grey. He is so gentle and loving with them, but also very direct. He meets them where they are. When things start to get heated, they are so so HOT. Blu and Grey feel safe with him and each other and it just seals their bonds when they are able to go there together. I also liked seeing them start feeling safe with everyone else in the MC.

They were purchased and enslaved by a monster. When Bender comes in to clean up after a strike, he finds Grey and Blue. There is an immediate connection between the trio and Bender takes them back with him which starts their journey together. This touching story drew me in and had me cheering for this trio tp get their chance for happiness.

This is the second book in this incredible series, and this is Bender, Grey, and Blu’s story. This is a well written fast paced, action packed, emotional roller coaster, with family, friendships, romance, humor, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, haunting, tragic, unpredictable, and steamy addictive page turner, I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
When Bender found Grey and Blu he knew instantly that he would do whatever it took to keep them safe. This is an intense, dark romance with intriguing characters and a story filled with danger, action, suspense, mystery, steam, and unexpected twists that make this a page turner. Bender is part of a dual author series and although I missed reading the first book this is a great addition to the series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Konrad is on a mission gone sideways when he rescues Blu and Grey. They’ve had a traumatic past - Can Konrad rescue them and give them a brighter future? I loved this story - yes, it starts dark, but it’s not so dark, because every most of it presented in recollection. I loved that Blu and Grey get such a fantastic happily ever after with Konrad - it all made me so happy! A wonderful and fast-paced read.
Blu and Grey had been captives to a master and used and abused, until they were rescued by Bender and the MC. An instant connection forms between them, and Bender give them the help and time they need to heal. Well written steamy desires MMF and more.

Bender, Grey & Blu Be aware of the TWs. This isn't a typical MC book, the guys are linked through childhood & military service but all work different jobs. Bender rescues Grey & Blu from a government 'job' and is instantly protective over them and returns to the MC where they develop a throuple as they heal.
This is a dark read that focuses on human trafficking and abuse. Bender rescues a couple and they all become an item. He works to heal theor pain and protect them from everyone around. Warming there are triggers so if human trafficking and abuse triggers you stay away.

Bender/Konrad's book is so emotional and intense. Everything leading up to his, Blu and Grey's relationship is utterly heartbreaking and gutwrenching. There's so many questions about Blu and Grey's past that probably will never be answered because of their circumstances but it doesn't take away from their story. Bender is a fast paced, well written story that sweeps you in and holds on tight.
Bender is on mission that goes sideways. He rescues Blu and Grey from their prison. But who is going to rescue and save Bender- Konrad from the draw of Blu and Grey? A good read.
I had to stop I don't like the use of "Daddy" when reading about captive people. Bender refers them constantly as Kids and then you have blue saying Daddy in her mind. NOPE!
