What proof exists that we actually possess a nonmaterial "energy body"? On Exploring Vibrational Medicine, physician Richard Gerber reveals behindthe- scenes research into vibra tional healing and offers a new model of the organizing energy field that guides and sustains all life forms. How do acupuncture, the chakra system, and healing touch work? Can prayer and meditation affect our energy fields? Through study after fascinating study, you will hear about stunning research that supports the existence of a measurable energy dimension in all life forms-an "etheric body" that holds profound implications for the future of health and healing. Exploring Vibrational Medicine is a revolutionary view of the oldest and newest dis covery in medical science-the power of the body to heal itself naturally. Topics: music and sound therapy; chakras and energy centers; the case for acupuncture and homeopathy; and much more.
Richard Gerber has spent nearly as much of his adult life studying as working, in fields as diverse as computer programming and knowledge management. His first written work was an engineering text book titled 'New Connections', published by the University of Cape Town Press.
In 1987 he and his wife moved to Switzerland, where first hand experiences in the Swiss-German culture inspired this novel. Widely travelled and an avid adventurer, he loves to bungie jump and has a keen interest in 60's rock. Despite degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering, as well as an MBA, he made the transition to creative writing and published his first novel 'Summers Past' on Amazon Kindle.
Richard Gerber lives in Berne Switzerland but loves to holiday in Cape Town.
A really interesting book, with some pretty amazing stuff in it. I have been reading a number of books and watching movies, PodCasts and so forth on the "new model" of medicine (and otther things) based more on the Einsteinian theory of reality rather than the old "physical" cut, hack, and give Pharmaceutical medications--Neutonian model which was based on what the physical eye could observe. Advanced for it's time. But a new time has come.
This book was good on exploring the evidence and science behind alternative medicine and spiritual healing. I enjoy some of these there people have looked to bridge the gap.
I gave this book 3 stars not because I didn’t think it was good but because I don’t think it’s for everyone.
It does a pretty good job of incorporating the concepts of Eastern and Western medicine into a single cooperative model of medicine/healing. It also brings in spiritual and religious concepts which worked but well with my beliefs, but may be more difficult for others. Some parts of it were a little out there for me, But overall I enjoyed it.
The rating doesn't reflect how much of the book is accurate and how much is false. I've learned and accomplished too much to poo poo on things that I have not extensively researched. As of the date of this review, I can't give this book to someone who is trying to fix their medical problems. Perhaps in the future, I will look into things like Homeopathy and Touch Healing. The author does get into some religious stuff at the end.

This is one to revisit with helpful information on the science behind energy healing, as well as efficacy of spiritual disciplines. As a Reiki Practitioner/Master/Teacher, I am hungry to understand and articulate the science of energy healing. The best quote for me was... "...It was discovered that the greatest catalyst for releasing this healing energy was a loving intention and unconditional love expressed from the healer to the patient. So, really love is a powerful healing energy, and we have laboratory evidence to substantiate that."
