Freya Olysses loves her quiet life in the sleepy little town of Ferguson. She’s made a home where she least expected to.
Until her past catches up with her in the form of a six-foot-something behemoth she never wanted to see again.
Now she’s not only running for her life, but also trying not to repeat past mistakes.
Gunner Anderson has seen it all. A decorated war veteran who now owns his own security firm, he is an expert in his field. His authority is never in question, his commands followed without delay.
Until Freya.
The first person who refuses to play by the rules and challenges him at every turn.
But if there is one thing he can’t resist, it’s a challenge.
Freya finally escaped the suffocating life she'd been living with her mobster family, and has been content with living independently away from her overprotective brothers and father. But when a threat surfaces, she's brought back into that life, and by someone she has a not so wonderful history with.
Gunner's been obsessed with Freya since he laid eyes on her. In their past, he may have messed up, but he's never stopped watching over, protecting her, even if she was unaware. Now that her father has tasked him with bringing her back and protecting her again, he'll use his chance at claiming her heart. IF she'll let him.
Gunner and Freya's story is a solid romantic suspense with lots of action and strong chemistry. Freya bugged me a little with her stupid decisions at times, and I have a hard time wondering if a real mob daughter would behave that way, but other than that I enjoyed this action-packed story. I'm looking forward to Blake's story next now.

3.75stars-STEALTH is the first instalment in Senna Kincaid’s contemporary, adult LOCKED SECURITY romantic suspense series focusing on the men who work for LOCKED SECURITY. This is former US soldier and Locked Security owner Elijah ‘Gunner’ Anderson, and web designer Freya Olysses’ story line.
NOTE: STEALTH was originally published under the pen name Sarah Peis.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Freya and Gunner) STEALTH follows the building but contemptuous relationship between former US soldier and Locked Security owner Elijah ‘Gunner’ Anderson, and web designer Freya Olysses. Five years earlier Gunner Anderson broke Freya Olysses’ heart but in the ensuing time Freya never forgot about our story line hero. Two years ago, Freya, tired of her father’s illegal activities and connections to the crime world, walked away without looking back but our heroine had no idea that her father struggled to let her go, having hired Gunner Anderson to keep tabs on his only daughter. Fast forward to present day wherein someone is targeting the Olysses family and business, and Gunner has been ordered to protect Freya at all cost but all does not go according to plan when their every move is mirrored, threatening our story line couple in the process. What ensues is the rebuilding relationship between Freya and Gunner, and the fall-out as the father’s sins have targeted our story line heroine.
The world building introduces some of the men who work for Gunner Anderson including Gunner’s right hand man Carter, and Blake, as well as Freya’s over protective brothers Liam and Gabriel, their father Constantine; Freya’s best friend Quinn, and the head of the Irish mob Cian.
The relationship between Gunner and Freya is one of second chances, of a sort. Gunner broke Freya’s heart five years earlier, and Freya struggles to accept Gunner as her personal protection, continually making his life difficult in the face of threats against our story line heroine. Often TSTL (too stupid to live) Freya is constantly looking for a way to escape, placing herself in the direct line of fire. Gunner battles between head and heart knowing his life is dangerous, and a relationship with Freya may threaten them both but Gunner’s need to protect quickly grows into something more. The $ex scenes are passionate but mostly implied.
STEALTH is a story of power and control, secrets and lies, independence and freedom, betrayal and vengeance, family and friendships, acceptance and love. The action packed premise is intriguing and dramatic yet familiar to many other romantic suspense series; the characters are energetic and desperate; the romance is fated and seductive.
Gunner is in the surveillance room when Carter enters and starts laughing at him for watching surveillance tapes as it was below Gunner's pay grade. But not when there was a high-profile client and Freya Olysses was as high profile as they get being the daughter of the Greek Chicago mob boss.
He did most of the surveillance himself as he didn't want the other guys on the team watching her. Over the last two years, he had become obsessed with her even though she was the opposite of everything he believed in and a woman he thought he never wanted to see again after his first assignment to watch over her didn't end well.
Freya left Chicago soon after not realizing that her father had known all along that she was hiding out in Washington and had hired Locked Security to put a protective detail on her. Protective details didn't usually last this long especially when they didn't realize they were being protected. Now there was a threat and her father wants Gunner to retrieve her.
Freya had been getting weird hangup calls lately and considering who her family was it was starting to concern her. Had her family found her? One of their enemies? She had left Chicago two years ago to make her own choices in life without the interference of her three overbearing brothers and her protective father. She wanted a life without everyone knowing who her family was.
She loved the small town outside of Seattle. She finally found a friend and started a web design business. She had met Quinn at a knitting group when she first moved to Ferguson and they had both decided immediately that they were a disaster at knitting and instead became inseparable either meeting for drinks or at Quinn's family restaurant Deliziosa.
She is walking home from the restaurant when three men that she recognizes from the Irish mob corner her in an alley. Regretting that she had gotten out of the habit of carrying a gun at all times, she manages to evade them temporarily as she turns to run...right into the hard chest of a man she hoped to never lay eyes on again after he had humiliated her at a party she had snuck off to.
I loved this story! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. My first time reading Sarah Peis was with her Sweet Dreams Series and fell in love with this rom-com series, but I have to say I love her romantic suspense even more. You will still laugh, especially when you meet Quinn.
This story is action-packed from beginning to end. To say this is an enemy-to-lovers story is putting it mildly. But despite their animosity towards each other, they can't seem to stay away from each other for long when they are forced on the run. This book is full of danger, suspense and will light your Kindle on fire.

I had first read about Gunner and Freya in the Tainted King and it had me so wanting to read about Freya and Gunner. The Owner of Locked Security and the Mafia Princess had me oh so excited and they sure took me on a rollercoaster ride in this one.
Freya is the youngest of four brothers and moreover, she comes from a mafia family. She knows her family is loving and is fiercely protective of her but she feels smothered by being looked out for constantly and hence to have her own independence, she flees away to live in the small town of Ferguson now where she can live under the radar.
What started off an an assignment two years before has gone on to become something that Gunner doesn't know how to put in words. But Freya definitely ignites something in him and try as he might, he can't get over the stubborn and Sassy woman.
Now when the danger has risen and seems like Freya's family's enemies are closing in, Gunner is asked by Freya's father to personally make sure his daughter remains safe.
So begins the wild rollercoaster adventure where Gunner swears to protect Freya at any cost and we are taken along an action filled ride, escaping the constant chase by the enemies.
Ooohhh... The time at the Cabin really made me feel like I was the one who was trapped along with a hot guy. With nowhere to go, they are unable to resist what has been simmering for a long time on the back burner between them.
Freya and Gunner were perfect together. He is a fierce protector and she is a sassy Spitfire who can't be controlled and doesn't take things lying down.
My goodness was Freya so stubborn and acted like a spoiled brat at times. But I also loved how Gunner could take it and treat her perfectly.
Quinn as Freya's friend was great and after having read her and Liam's book, I liked seeing how they actually met before. Their book is also amazing where Liam, Freya's eldest brother becomes obsessed with Quinn. Also, having just read Gabriel and Vanna's book, Oh my goodness, theirs is definitely a must read as Gabriel the second brother of Freya marries none other than the daughter of a Russian. Ooohhh... Loved their book.
An action packed ride filled ride sprinkled with suspense and two people who will absolutely drive you crazy and also will make you have a blast going onto an adventure filled ride with them. Loved Gunner and Freya.❤️❤️❤️
Freya Olysses thought she was escaping her life as a member of the Olysses mafia family and creating her own life. Until Gunner shows up and saves her one night, now her family’s enemies are looking for her. Freya would rather risk it alone than stay with the man who humiliated her five years prior. But escaping him is impossible. Gunner Anderson was unnerved by his attraction to Freya and watching her and keeping her safe was more of a personal matter. When her life is in danger, he will do whatever is necessary to keep her safe and happy (even letting her sweet-talk him into retrieving her cute pet bunny, Killer). Can their proximity to each other help Freya see Gunner for the man he is? This book grabbed me from the beginning, and I could not put it down until I finished it. I loved seeing Gunner, the big alpha hero, fall for Freya. They had so much chemistry between them and were perfect for each other. I also loved how all the tough guys seemed to fall for the cute bunny, Killer. It was just too cute! Stealth is the first book in the brand-new series Locked Security. After reading this book, I couldn’t believe I had never come across her work before. So, I had to do some research and found out the author previously published the series under the name of Sarah Peis, who is moving her dark romance books over to her new pen name Senna Kincaid. She is still a new author to me, but I am now following her closely for the next book in the series, Deception. The characters in the Locked Security series overlap with her other series, Tainted Kings, which I am also looking forward to reading. I cannot wait until they become available. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is book 1 of the Locked Security series and it promises to be a good one. The writer has given us a well written book with a good storyline and wonderful characters. Freya, daughter to a Mafia leader, and Gunner, the owner of Locked Security, have a history when he was hired to protect her. A history that didn’t end so well. But it’s now 5 years later and Freya, who ran away to another state to get out from under her family's thumb 2 years ago, is in danger. So her father once again has sent Gunner to protect her, something Freya is Not happy about even if she is still attracted to the man. Little does she know he too is obsessed with her, but he can’t cross the line with a client. But what happens when the threats become real and they are forced together on the run.
I really enjoyed this fast paced, 2nd chance romance and I am looking forward to reading book 2.
Stealth was my first time reading anything by this author. It left me with mixed feelings, while it immediately grabbed me, by midway I was struggling a little bit to stay interested. I did enjoy reading it, but I wanted to know more back story about Gunner and Freya. It kept mentioning their past and her anger towards him and how she embarrassed him, and also about a party she regretted going to, but that was it. I wanted to know why, I wanted to know how Gunner got mixed up with her family and why he was no longer employed with them. I was just left with a lot of questions by the end of the book. There wasn’t any steamy scenes, it was a pretty clean romance, but it did have good action and suspense, and I enjoyed the humor it had at times. Especially at the beginning with the whole Tom scene! I had to lost that. This book was good and I definitely plan on reading Blake and Everleigh’s story next, and I definitely want to read Liam and Quinn’s.
This is the first book I have read by Sarah. Gunner and Freya meet 5 years ago and neither one of them has been able to forget about the other. Now they are about to be forced together again. Their last meeting didn’t end well. Freya is in danger because of her family ties. Gunner is going to do his job and protect Freya even if she doesn’t want him to. They are both attracted to each other but fight it. Now that they are forced to stay together for Freya’s protection how long will they able to fight those feelings. Freya has grown and changed over the years. Gunner finds this new Freya even harder to resist. This book was a fantastic read. There is action, danger, and romance. Freya is feisty and sweet. There is a prequel for this series. I didn’t know about it when I read this book. But, I have it now and plan to read it. I look forward to reading the next book in this series when it comes out. The characters in this book are wonderful. Great job Sarah.
This was a new to me author, and I definitely will be reading more of her work!! Her characters were well developed, and the storyline was intriguing, suspenseful, and entertaining. Freya is the Princess of the mafia boss of Chicago and Gunner is former military and owns his own security company now that he is out of the military, Locked Security. They had a run-in five years prior that left Freya humiliated. Now present day, Freya doesn’t know that her father has hired Gunner to observe her from a distance for the past two years since she has broken away from her family. Gunner has become obsessed with Freya and when her father gives him the signal to get her, he is torn because he doesn’t want to want her because she is the daughter of a client. As the action heats up, will he cross the line? I look forward to reading about her brothers, they are going to be a riot.
This book is the first in the series and also my first by the author. I liked the author's writing style which is very fluid and which allows us to immerse ourselves in the story quite easily.
I liked the characters, Freya, the daughter of a mob boss and Gunner the owner of Locked Security. They already know each other, as Gunner has been hired to protect her. But it didn't end well for both of them. Five years later, we find them. Gunner is always protecting Freya and Freya is trying to live her life. The two are attracted to each other, but they don't want to give in to temptation.
I liked the evolution of their relationship which remains quite fluid and without too much haste.
The other members of Locked Security intrigue me a lot and I can't wait to find out more about them.
This was definitely a good start to a new series. Gunner runs a security company and loves what he does. He has a big client that needs him to take priority over an assignment. Gunner needs to protect the clients daughter at all cost. Freya is not excited about Gunner showing up and basically kidnapping her. He calls it protection she calls it kidnapping…maybe it’s fore play! Because these two have crazy chemistry and being stuck in a cabin together is definitely not going to help or hurt the situation. Her family definitely brings the drama and I’m here for it. This was a cute action packed read. I’m excited about this series and can’t wait to get to know a lot of these characters better. There are a lot of personalities on these pages and I’m here for it. I’m already looking forward to the next book.
This is the first in a new series, and this is Gunner and Freya’s journey. Freya used to be a spiled mafia princess, until she left that life behind, and is now content with her life living in a quiet small town. Gunner is a military veteran, who is the owner of Locked Security, and he has kept an eye on Freya since she left town. When Freya’s past comes back to haunt her, Gunner is determined to keep her safe and protected. This is a well written story which is fast paced, and action packed, with danger, suspense, intrigue, emotions, challenges, close proximity, humor, and love, which leads to an entertaining, unpredictable, and steamy addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
A mafia princess + a security guard/bodyguard? YES Please! Plus they have history? Love it.
This debut from Senna Kincaid was such a good read. There was action. There was suspense. There was steam. There was secrecy. There was drama. There was betrayal. And I enjoyed it so.
The ties that Gunnar has to Freya's family is intriguing, and I'd love to get that backstory. I'm also curious to see what the next book in the Locked Security series will be. Part of me had hoped that Freya's close friend would be getting her story told (perhaps with Freya's brother), but that wouldn't fit into the series title as that would be a mafia book. So I'll just have to wait and see.
Wow! Hooked from the start and I didn't put it down. Freya and Gunner have crossed paths in the past. She's feisty, loves her pet bunny, and does not back down. Gunner is a protector, fits perfectly into the grumpy, security business owner type with his alpha ways. I loved their back and forth, there's a fire that burns between them and the build up is great. The story has some good heart pounding moments and flows well. I enjoyed getting to know the bits of their friends and family and am looking forward to more from this series.
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Freya was once a spoiled mafia princess. She thought she had left the life and was living a free and independent life. She has a job, a hood friend and is enjoying small town life. Little did she know, she was always guarded. Now her old life is spilling into her new life. Gunner is the owner of Locked Security. A former military man with a stoic persona. He has been keeping watch over Freya since she left home. When trouble comes calling he has to keep them both safe.
I felt dropped into the deep end. But in a good way. This book was fast paced. The characters were interesting. The suspense kept me on my toes. I loved it
My only qualm is that since this was an ARC I had no clue that Freya and Gunner had a prequel until I was well into the book. So definitely find a way to read the prequel novella before diving into this book
•second chance •enemies to lovers •one bed •romantic suspense
Freya and Gunner’s story had me hooked from start to finish. It was non stop action, danger, suspense, and laugh out loud moments. I adored these two characters.
This is my first ever book by this author, and it won’t be my last. I can’t wait to read more of this series.
This book started slow for me I was super excited to read Freya and Gunner's story. There is lots of talk of Freya and Gunner's past but you never get the whole story just snippets about there fight, and the animosity between them. I love how Freya stood her ground and didnt give in but she still got what she wanted. Excited about the rest of the series.
