First Board: A Prelude to Bad Bishop

Rate this book
Five years before the events of Bad Bishop, Commander Jerald Norim serves as the XO and second to the Captain of the CSS Intrepid.

Estranged from his wife, Jerald must wrestle with the weight of duty as he is thrust into leadership.

This story is meant to shed light on his character, both his strengths and his flaws, and should serve as a solid introduction to the Scions of Oth series.

This is how Jerald became the Bad Bishop.

Prelude to “Bad Bishop” . . .

This story line prequel is to give the reader an introduction to Commander Jerald Norim, currently acting as XO under Captain Reshko, so we can meet and observe Jerald in action before he became “the Bad Bishop”. We will be shown both the good and bad aspects of this primary character before the rest of the series continues.

The story brings us right into the action as Kridzen pilots, who are half-machine, slip through the shield barrier and attach to the hull of the CSS Intrepid. Their ship alone will give the reader nightmares as it presents itself as a 6-legged spider crawling onto the Intrepid’s hull! Radar showed more of these ships holding back to observe the outcome of their initial attack. Would Captain Reshko’s “old-school” mentality falter and fail as the other enemy ships move into the battle? Would Reshko try to play it safe as he usually did when only a clever, sharp mind would be needed to respond in this crisis as the enemy ship begins eating its way through the Intrepid’s hull? Grab your copy of this exciting beginning to a series that will hold your rapt attention.
