When an unexpected flame ignites between me and a rogue wolf, things get hot and heavy fast. It’s my last summer of freedom before I take over the pack back home, and he’s the perfect guy, but he can’t come home with me.
River
I coast into town on fumes with nothing but my surfboard and the clothes on my back. A free-spirited Alpha wolf isn’t the norm, but my father gave me one last summer to goof off before I take over the pack, and Shifter Grove is my last stop. However, I didn’t expect to literally collide with Vincent going over my first wave.
The moment I set eyes on all that tanned skin and his infectious smile, I’m hooked. He’s sweet and hot, just the way I like my summer flings, and we’re in bed before I know anything about him. But I never expected to be spilling my secrets to him. Before I know it, he’s making me feel things I’ve never felt before, and my time in Shifter Grove is quickly coming to an end. My father has arranged a mate for me back home, and both of them are expecting me.
Vincent
A dip in the lake nearly turns into a hospital trip as River literally runs me over with his surfboard. But somehow, I find myself unbothered by this charming Alpha wolf. He’s got a wonderful laugh, and the way he looks at me makes my skin tingle with excitement. It’s almost too easy to fall into bed with him.
River and I agree that this is just a fling. He has a pack to lead back home. Even if I’m convinced he’s my mate, he can’t stay, and I can’t go with him. I do everything I can to resist falling for this perfect wolf. But one thing is certain. When River leaves, he’ll take my heart with him.

If you’re on the lookout for a heartwarming and emotionally engaging book, this one is a must-read. Set against the charming backdrop of a small town, it takes you through a roller-coaster of emotions without feeling too heavy or cluttered. The story is beautifully written, making it a quick read that you simply can’t put down.
The story revolves around Vincent and River, two compelling characters with a strong connection. The dynamic between them is both intense and captivating, thanks to their on-again, off-again relationship. Vincent is a fascinating mix of strength and vulnerability, with a slight streak of evil in the way he pushes River around. On the other hand, River, being an alpha, is determined to make Vincent realize that they are meant to be together. You’ll find yourself rooting for their relationship to succeed.
One of the standout features of this book is its ability to evoke a wide range of emotions without becoming too intense. There’s plenty of heat and a touch of kink, but nothing feels over the top. The balance is just right, making it an enjoyable read from start to finish.
The best part? The story culminates in a satisfying happy ever after. Vincent and River’s journey is filled with ups and downs, but in the end, love triumphs. It’s a well-crafted narrative that leaves you feeling content and hopeful.
Book three of the Shifter's Grove series was a little different from books one and two. The writing is as well done as the others. There's still a bit of worldbuilding. Lake Huron being a surfing spot for example. Hotelier Sam and Andy, the baker, are great supporting characters. And the best relationship found here is the friendship between main character, Vince, and Andy. However..... I haven't disliked a main character as much as I did River, in a long time. Himbo. Player. Cocky. Spoiled. Lots of negative adjectives come to mind. And he might be the weakest alpha ever written. Vince came across as petty after River made an ass of himself. Then River had to assist Vince when his assistant/delivery driver called out sick. And lust turned to love. River's mishaps working for the first time ever, were funny. It made both main characters more likable. Perhaps not as likable as Matt and Ace, or Josh and Andy. Speaking of... the Andy in this book is not mated. Maybe flip books two and three for continuity. Not my favorite of the series. Angsty and entitled. Blake R Wolfe is an excellent writer, so I'll give them the pass on this book. I'm sure book four will have me loving the series again.
I am loving this series and am always looking forward to when the next book is announced. Semi- Rejected timeline starts just before Losing My Rejection as it confused me that Andy was single and it centres around Vincent (Vince to his friends) the owner of the pizza place. Never one to think that he will meet his fated mate. That is until he meets River, and from the moment River was introduced I took an instant dislike to him. He was one of the most entitled, spoilt, obnoxious, characters that I have read in a while and I did not like what he turned Vince into, but as the story continued I started to soften towards him and there is one sweet moment when he is trying to sweep the floor not having a clue how to do it. This kept my interest through out and I must admit I did make my views of River verbally to my dogs as he really got my back up. But this shows just how good the writing was to stir those emotions in me Written from the MCs POV, it was clear from the start who's POV I was reading about. Whilst not a lot of the old crowd was mentioned I still cannot wait for the next in the series
A hot new book in this series! I always love the world of this series and its endearing characters.
This time, it's River a wolf who comes to town for the surf, not to find refuge.
I loved seeing River in this book, realizing that life is possible outside of what he's always known, without having to deny who he is. I liked following his journey, understanding with Vincent's help that he can choose his life.
I like the contrast between River's upbringing: being a pure alpha male, a man of domination, authority and emotionlessness, and of course heterosexual and heteronormal. When at heart he's just a kid who needs attention, who's always lived protected and scared of the outside world, a caring man who loves men. River is far from the stereotypical Alpha, despite his father's upbringing. He's not really brave, he's not combative, he's not always dominant. And that's refreshing! :) I like the fact that, in the end, Vincent is more temperamental than River, that Vincent is the dominant role.
I recommend the series and this volume in particular :)
And I can't wait for the next one!

This is book three in the Shifter Grove series and, while overall, it was a good book, I wasn’t as crazy about it as I was the first two. River, the soon to be alpha of his pack behaved much too submissively, way out of character for an alpha and Vince, an omega, was behaving too aggressively. It was like they had a personality switch. I know part of it was part of River groveling for forgiveness but it started before that.
Even with those complaints, it was still a good book and I don’t want to put anyone off reading it, give it a try yourself. 4 stars!
I received a copy of this book for free but am voluntarily leaving a review.
If you’ve read my reviews of any of the rest of this series so far, you’ll know two things: one, I love these stories. The characterisation and character development is insanely good and I’ve become fond of everybody in this fictional little town. Two, the actual writing blows. Misspellings, poor vocabulary and word choices, plus grammar that makes me cringe. I doubt the author reads these reviews but Blake, if you do, I would like to personally volunteer to proof read for you and pick up these little errors that take the shine off what are actually immensely good stories. I’m skipping the next book for now, because I’m eager to get to Sam’s story, but I’ll go back and finish Cory’s later.
OMG 😱 this was a fantastic story about Vincent and River romance was steamy and it was a page turner and the suspense was highly intense. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down. The chemistry between them was electrifying and magical moments. But this new love will change everything in their life and more. I definitely recommend this book and you won’t be disappointed. I received advance copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion. Trina Jones
River is an alpha and given a year to “get it out of his system” before returning home to be pack alpha and marry. Vincent owns the pizza parlor and was kicked out of his home at a young age. They meet when River accidentally hits Vincent with his surf board. Right away they are pulled to each other however, because of the agreement that River had with his father he tries really hard to keep Vincent at arms length. Vincent has is own insecurities. They have a bumpy start to their HEA.
I love the Shifter Grove Rogue Wolves books 1 & 2 and 3 (Vincent's story), is no different!
Every wolf that comes to Shifter Grove has a story, and the chances of surfer soon-to-be Alpha River finding Vince is a fun ride, with great detail from both, as well as the cast from book 1, 2 and potentially book 4!
I could definitely read the whole series again!!🔥❤️🔥
If you've read the previous books in this series you know it's gonna be good. And it is. I loved the flirting and the banter. There is actual character development, which I really loved. What can happen in one Summer? It can't turn future plans around, can it? On top of that you find the love of your life? Your true mate. Really great story!
Of the books in this series so far, this one is my least favorite. The characters are rather mean to each other and I didn’t get that same sense of community/found family vibes like the prior books. The plot had potential to be interesting but something about the execution didn’t work well for me.
An enjoyable romp. Money doesn't mean everything in life. Love will surely overcome in the end. This should have been book 2 in the series instead of book 3. Broken time-line.
I really enjoyed this one! Maybe not as much as. The previous one, but it was still an enjoyable time. It took me a little longer to warm up to River & Vince in comparison, but they were an enjoyable time nonetheless. These books still feel so cozy to me and I love it! On to the next one!
Love this story. Young Alpha had things turned around on him. Love their town I have enjoyed every book by Blake R. Wolfe that I have read. Will read more.

4.5 stars Vincent and River don't have a meet-cute, it's more of a meet-ouch! They both feel an instant attraction and there is a lot of flirting, but once River admits there will be no contact once his month in Shifter Grove is over, Vincent is left angry and hurt, but also resigned as his past has shown him he's not good enough to love. River already knows he has to give up everything real about himself once he returns to take over being Alpha of the pack from his father. He's never stood up for himself, but believes he has to sacrifice so he can bring about changes to his pack. He never counted on how powerful the connection to Vincent would become, or how Vincent would overcome his own past and be willing to fight for what he wanted. Their journey is definitely a rocky one, but the feelings are genuine, the passion is super steamy, the emotions are intense, and their love and HEA are hard earned, but so worth it. This book was entertaining and well written, the MC's were engaging and their connection was palpable, even despite the roller coaster of emotions.
I received an ARC from the author, this review is unbiased and my honest opinion.
This is a fantastic entry in the Shifter Grove series! River isn't your typical Alpha, and he discovers he has more sides to himself than he previously thought. Vincent is a little firecracker of an Omega who learns to overcome past trauma and embrace life. Together they have amazing chemistry, and it's fun watching their relationship develop. This is book 3 of the series, but runs prior to and concurrently with a large part of book 2. Their reading order is interchangeable, but if you want to keep to the timeline of the story, read them in the following order: book 1, book 3, book 2.

Another fantastic read from Blake! This is book 3 set in Shifter Grove which is a very special place that helps Shifters heal and gives them a place to be themselves. River is just passing through and planning to spend his last month of freedom surfing and enjoying the local men before he has to marry a female chosen by his dad to become the Luna to his alpha. Vincent has been in Shifter Grove for a long time, finding his new home after his parents couldn't accept he was gay. I really enjoyed the relationship and banter between Vincent and Andy, the local baker whose story you can read in the second book. The writing is fun, sexy and romantic. The characters are beautifully written with such depth and emotion. This is another read that I absolutely couldn't put down!
