★★★★★! Knight Takes Queen (book 3). The conclusion of Nick & Kate’s epic, spellbinding & tumultuous story with intrigue, suspense, challenges, mind-blowing sex & their intense against-all-odds love!

‘I won’t make you wait long,’ he said, withdrawing his finger from her mouth and slipping it into her throbbing sex in a light teasing penetration, with only a soft flick on her engorged clit. ‘Jesus, that’s one stiff little clit. Think you can wait?’

This is the intense whirlwind romance between Billionaire Venture Capitalist and CEO of Knight Enterprises, Dominic Knight, Nick and forensic accountant Katherine Hart, Kate. Travel the world over as Nick and Kate’s love develops and is challenged. There will be many twists and turns along the way delivering the very best of intrigue, suspense, sizzling sex and a captivating love.

The All or Nothing Trilogy is using different Publishers for the US and the UK, hence the different covers and titles. Books must be read in order:
BOOK 1 Knight’s Mistress (UK) / All He Wants (US)
BOOK 2 Knight’s Game (UK) / All He Needs (US)
BOOK 3 Knight Takes Queen (UK) / All He Desires (US)

In book 1 Kate Hart had been hired as a consultant to Knight Enterprises and after helping to uncover traitors within the company and recovering stolen money. Dominic Knight, Nick had only intended to seduce Kate, but before he knows it he is all caught up in wanting more. Their intense against-all-odds romance was electrifying with plenty of sinfully steamy sex scenes.

Book 2 followed Nick and Kate as their relationship was tested with demons from their pasts, jealousy and secrets. Add to that the imminent threat to their lives by scorned dark and shady forces and you have nothing short of a rollercoaster of events and emotions.

Book 3 opens up right after the ending of book 2. Nick and Kate who have faced much adversity in the past several months finally get to enjoy a few moments of bliss and we are treated to everything that is sex with Nick; kinky, bossy, talented and at times devious lover.

But their story is far from over and soon their world is rocked by unimaginable hardship. Yet their biggest obstacles will always come from within. Ultimately this is their journey of self-discovery and fulfillment and about pushing all limits and surrendering it all for love.

‘I never said I didn’t like clingy.’ Except that was exactly what he had said, to the other thousand women who’d briefly entered his life in the years past.”

Dominic Knight, Nick is my ultimate hero, #1 out some 1,100+ heroes! His combination of uncanny good looks, kinky lover and larger-than life, enigmatic, elusive; intense, in-control; ruthless and unyielding personality makes him unforgettable. Add to that his maturity and worldliness that is unsurpassed!

All this…. until he met Kate! It has been my absolute pleasure to watch the lengths that Dominic would go to appease her even though in all his life he has never bent for anyone.

Seven words to describe Nick: Worldly, captivating, intense, ruthless, enigmatic, domineering and unforgettable.

“He softly sighed. ‘I really wish I could help you out, baby. But I just have an empty space where normal people store their files on feelings.’ He grinned.”

 photo blakely2bysb_zps4a4fcfdf.gif
 photo GibbsAllorNothing1-2HeroinebySueBee_zps1a337a06.jpg

Katherine Hart, “Kate”, though geeky, moody, and confrontational even annoying at times she is what Nick needed and she is what we need to keep the story going. Five words to describe Kate: Independent, smart, confrontational, moody, endearing and tenacious.

“She looked so hopeful he would have built the pyramids for her single-handedly to satisfy that hope.”

The All or Nothing trilogy is as good as it gets as far as whirlwind romance, electrifying and beautifully depicted. An all-consuming plot with plenty of sinfully steamy sex scenes and many captivating characters. But above all the larger-than-life Dominic Knight, my #1!

Spectacular! Epic! Captivating! 6-star shelf! Thanks to my fellow buddy-readers! Kudos Ms. Johnson! I can’t wait for Nicole’s story! Inked dick, huh?!

“He was ridiculously handsome, tall, lean yet solid with muscle. Politely immoral, indifferent to censure. As if he knew he was irresistible in all manner of things. Not just to her, but to everyone, to women particularly.”

5+ STARS for the trilogy overall

5 "YES, I DID CAST GANDY AS MY NICK, Mo" STARS for BOOK 3

I am changing my rating to 4.99 stars. After having discussed the events in this book with my fellow BRers, I finally 'get' it. I am still deducting 0.01 stars because of my reasons listed below, especially to do with the last two chapters.

 photo allhewantscollagefourpicsnoborder_zps1583986b.jpg

OK, where to begin ...

I think I've finally figured out WHY I loathe some of the so called 'erotic' novels that are all the rage out there right now - I can't stand reading erotica when it's written in first person. I truly can't. Let's just say that 99.99999% of those erotica 'writers' who write in first person don't know what the fuck they are doing (with the exception of brilliant CD Reiss who makes up that lonely .00001%) and you can't help but feel awkward because those novels give you that 'I just stumbled upon a diary of a horny teen' feeling and the way some of those 'novels' are written on top of being written in first person make me want to do this

 photo pokingmyeyesout_zps00357ea9.gif

Well, fear not, my fellow readers who happen to appreciate a good book (or three)! Because none of the above is present in this trilogy! Yes, this is written in third person (YAY!) and what beatiful writing lovely Ms Johnson is capable of! If you enjoy a book that not only delivers a great story but features intelligent conversations, exotic settings, scorching sex, sassy heroine and, last but not least, über controlling and beyond sexy Hero then I am willing to bet you are going to enjoy this trilogy. And if you don't ... well ... then I guess I don't know you at all.

Now a little bit about the book ...

 photo allornothingcollagesmall400_zps16e0a641.jpg

Overall, I enjoyed this final instalment. It made me feel. A lot of things. We are talking happy, sad, horny and even hungry at times.

What I absolutely loved about this book/trilogy:

1. The banter between MCs is priceless! Nick and Kate can bicker any time because it made me love them even more.

2. Kate's sassy attitude. Typically, I am not a fan of heroine that questions everything, etc. but Kate's defiance was very entertaining to watch, especially when Nick was trying to deal with it!

3. Nick's relationship with his sister (LOVE how she calls him "Nicky") and Max.

4. Nana and everything to do with her :)

5. People's reaction [even those who only knew of Nick] to his personality/relationship status change.

What I was a little bit disappointed in this book:

1. I felt like the last two chapters of this finale could have been more detailed and made up for some of the stuff that seemed [a tiny bit] slow in the beginning.

2. I wish there was more of Nick's parents in the picture. As much as I am not a fan of either, it would have made for a dramatic storyline.

3. I wish there was more to Gora/Bianca story as well. It just kind of went 'poof' and disappeared ...

Some of my favorite quotes:

"For a man who'd made unilateral decisions his entire life, his willingness to yield to Kate on so significant an issue was a remarkable measure of his love."

"Of all the audacious qualities in their relationship, perhaps the strongest was the obsessive nature of their love."

"He stopped and kissed her in front of the elevators with a dozen people standing by.
But he didn't notice.
Nor did she.u
Because Katherine was his world, and he was hers."

"Before long even Dominic understood to whom he owed a gift of gratitude.
His took the form of a new silver Porsche convertible."

And OMG!!! That epilogue ... A spin off book/series(?)???? I am literally doing cartwheels right now!!!

Last but not least, I'd like to thank C.C. Gibbs for giving us billionaire extraordinaire, Dominic Knight. Trust me when I say this - all others need not apply, especially those in their 20s and still wet behind the ears.

Wow…I am completely blown away with this one. This conclusion is beautiful and completely perfect. I laughed, cried, and swooned.

I love a book that can make me feel such strong emotions for the characters.

I loved watching Nick’s transformation throughout the series. It’s easy to write Nick off in the beginning, he is an arrogant, self centered, playboy. The more you get to know him and see the ins and outs of why he is the way he is its hard not to fall in love. By the epilogue I was 100% head over heels for Nick. Well sooner then that, but you get the point.

Trilogies are great because we get to spend a lot of time with the characters and really fall in love with their story. However a lot of time by the third book I am completely on edge from all the problems they have faced and a nervous wreck for more drama. This conclusion had the perfect amount of drama, love, and foreshadowing. The drama didn’t make me nervous for the couple it made me fall more in love watching them overcome things together.

I know some people find the conclusion lacking, but to me it was just what I needed. I am happy with some things being cut short or it being light on drama.

Lastly…the epilogue…a spinoff…Rafe

“Welcome to my world, baby. We’re gonna have fun.”

Dominic is back to his overpowering ways, all the while getting a crash course in devotion.

Kate is equally filled with lust and love; driven by reckless abandonment every time Dominic touches her.
“I warn you, Dominic, I may never get enough of you.”

He has experienced hell and back without her by his side, but nothing prepares them for this... this is what makes or breaks most couples and it's up to him to do what he does best; love her and give Kate everything she needs so they can move on together. If there is one thing that he's learned is life is to precious to waste any time...
“But it’s gotta get better, baby. It can’t get worse.”

Kate has never asked Dominic for anything, but the one thing she wants most is the one thing that has Dominic living his worst nightmare. But Kate being Kate, she knows exactly what to say to get him to play, no matter how grumpy he may seem.
“I want you to climb on top of me. I’m in a slam-bang, take-me-I’m-yours mood.” She looked up when he stopped her unzipping. “Too frank? Outside your repertoire? Don’t want to hurt your knees?”

“I’ll climb on top of you anywhere, baby.”

Even though Dominic and Kate have gotten everything they have ever wanted, in love and in life, it doesn't make the waiting any easier. Perpetually living on edge, but as long as they have each other to calm their nerves, they can survive anything and everything, getting the happily ever after they so desperately deserve.

All He Desires takes us back to before the second book deviated by throwing a unbelievable plot twist, we are finally back to where they should have been all along. There were moments of heartbreak but so much love, and a exceptional amount of lust. We got to see the "old" Dominic in action, as he introduces Kate to his playground. We have the recurring theme that I love so much, the transformation in Dominic, it is so unexpected that it has everyone in a state of disbelief. Kate is Kate, there is no other way to explain her, by now (three books in) you either have made up your mind if you are going to love or hate her. Me and Kate still have a sisterly relationship, wanting to smack and hug her all the same.

Dominic and Kate are who they are, nothing else matters in their world but them, and they make no apologies about their obsessive-crazy-love for one another. Nana makes much more of an appearance in this one and rightfully so, she was critical in getting Dominic and Kate back on the right path. I highly enjoyed this series, it was different than the other billionaire books I've read, where the couple and their love is the main focus, the main issue and the main solution. This was a perfectly suited ending for Dominic and Kate, not to mention the ending was a nice segue into the spin off series ;)

Knight Takes Queen is the conclusion of Dominic and Kate's love story. I struggled a little with this series, I found I was slightly detached from the characters which is not really conducive, so why have I continued??? Well, it's a series I have been looking forward to for a while and once I commit to something I like to see it through... And the end of the books were always so good and left me wanting a little bit more.....

Let me tell you my struggles...

In the last book there was some intrigue and mystery, Kate was in danger..... But this aspect of the story was not touched on again??? For me this would've injected some much needed drama into the first half of the story.

There were contradictions for me, he worried about her so much yet he took risks with her life speeding ridiculously in his car.... Also I guess the rationale is.... He thinks this is ok if he feels in control???

There's an inconsistency with the story and action that really stood out for me ~ Dominic tells a member of staff to get rid of some items that would cause upset to Kate,

"Just let me know where you put the things in the event Katherine asks to see them."

But..... Then there was an important scene of her finding them at her apartment exactly where they shouldn't have been...??? A big thing was made of her seeing them, yet this was never addressed by Dominic. He wasn't mad his orders had not been carried out??? It's almost like someone forgot it was asked?? Maybe I missed something here, I even looked back to check but it still left me confused.

Although I didn't love this book, there were aspects to it I enjoyed and I'm not sorry I got to experience Mr Dominic Knight in all his dominant, controlling glory!!!

"I warn you, Dominic, I may never get enough of you."

Dominic and Kate have an undeniable attraction to each other but would this attraction be enough to tame the Playboy???
Can she tame him now and forever????
Well you'll need to read this book to find out....

I felt the pace of the book was quite slow but we do get to experience the love story behind the sex. For me personally it picked up at 50% when the drama kicked in..... Boy, was there drama??!!! At this point I felt the angst and emotion, their story compelled me to reach the conclusion......

Gorgeous emotion...

I truly thought I was going to fall completely in love with this series, I never gave up hope because I enjoyed Dominic's character, but sadly my love affair was not to be on this occasion there was only ever a glimmer of light for me.

I wanted to know how their love story finished and so for that reason, and for delicious Dominic, I'm glad I saw it through to the end.

Try it you may LOVE, lots and lots of people do.....

♥ BR with lots of lovely ladies

hmmmmm....well the fact that it took 4 days to read a book speaks volumes! Just didn't really work for me!

There once was a dominant, successful, sexy business man...Dominick...you remember him from book 1 and 2? Yeah well I have no idea where he is!

Oh and Smart, Sassy Katherine? Well she is just a horny beast living everyday to the point of "give me an orgasm" or im gonna kill you!

I have no idea what happened to this but it was just repetitive, boring, odd, and exhausting all at the same time! Im glad I finished, but I would have been just as happy to stop at book 2!

Wow. That last 25% saved the entire series for me!

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

All or Nothing series is the tumultuous love story of billionaire business mogul Dominic Knight and Forensic IT Analyst Katherine Hart. The series carries us through their meeting, courtship, battles with outside forces, and eventual happily ever after. Both characters are very strong willed and there is a constant power struggle between these two, bantering back and forth through every book. Sometimes the piddley fights they'd get into, I'd find a bit annoying, but, hey, that's real life now isn't it?

The series has a strong dose of sex scenes...a lot! Kate is truly a nympho-maniac in my opinion and I found myself skimming at parts through her marathon of orgasms. Really? He basically rubs up against her and she climaxes. That, I've got to say, is NOT real life so I found myself eye-rolling through many of their bedroom, bathroom, dining room, ANY room scenes.

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

Moving on...I really didn't attach myself to their story until the very end of book two. Had this not been a buddy read where the other girls were fan-girling along the way, I'd likely have dnf'ed it early in book 2. HOWEVER, I'm happy I stuck with it in the end. Book three is their love story....and I mean it was truly their story. Everything before was sex and power struggles in my opinion. Most alpha males really interest me...Mr Knight, until his "come to Jesus" moment at the end of book 2, did nothing for me. Then he turned into a man in love, loyal, still controlling but for all the RIGHT reasons.

All the events in book three...well, especially the last quarter...let's say
Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

So, if you're looking for lots of sex scenes, this series has it. If you're looking for a dark haired, blue eyes, alpha dominant billionaire, this series has it. If you're looking for a strong minded heroine, this series has it. It's just debatable whether you will attach to the characters or not. But that's what reading is all about...everyone comes away with different feels.

This series is written in third person POV and the flip flopping back and forth while talking about each character could've been more clearly defined. I was lost several times and had to back up as I realized she was now talking about another character. Third person POV is my least favorite writing style as I don't feel like I get the "feelings" of being in their head. Alas, different strokes for different folks.

5 Dominic Knight Commanding, Controlling, Revealing Stars * * * * *

Knight Takes Queen was the final chapter in the love story of Dominic Knight, Power Broker and Mega Male in charge of all he controlled with Katherine Hart, a woman who baffled, frustrated, and captured his heart due to her being just as challenging and stubborn as he was.

This picked up right after the end of Knight's Retreat. Dominic has come to terms with the fact Katherine is it; his holy grail; his northern light; his salvation and only way to have the peace and happiness he thought impossible.

We are able to see how Dominic learns all of his power, expertise and wealth means nothing in the way of the world as everyone else experiences it. We see him learning lessons of humility and compromise; acknowledging he may be just like any other person in some situation... not able to command the results he so desperately wants.
He re evaluates; he accesses; and he attacks in a way foreign to him....
He learns to love, share and give in ways that do not involve his wealth or power...

He gives of himself to Katherine and in giving to her... he finds he receives much much more.

Katherine, in turn learns how to be who she needs to be in spite of her overwhelming desire and love she has for Dominic. Her strength in confronting him and fighting for what she wants and he fears is something they both need.

I have said already what I fan I am of CC Gibbs/ Susan Johnson. I will always look to see what this legendary writer is doing.

I would like to thank SueBee for generously including me in the reading of this book.

5 "Today, Tomorrow, Forever" Stars

This book picks up at the end of Knight's Game. Dominic and Katherine have reconciled and are on their way to living a perfectly sexy, passionate, loving life with one another.
 photo Dominic_zps7cb6384c.jpg

Because Katherine was the miracle he still wasn't sure he deserved. She'd transformed his grey, soulless existence, set it ablaze with light and joy, brought him happiness and casually laid it at his feet. And he loved her with a kind of fanaticism only felt by those who'd never loved before. She was his world, his life, his heart and soul.

 photo Katherine_zpsa30607fa.jpg

The love that both Dominic and Katherine felt for one another poured through for me. It was their HEA and it was a heartbreaking, loving, beautiful, teary, happy, sad, passionate and sexy journey.

Of all the audacious qualities in their relationship, perhaps the strongest was the obsessive nature of their love. It was enigmatic and amazing, exuberant and chaste, a bona fide miracle Dominic in particular recognized having been alone so long.

Dominic was in full protective mode over Katherine and I loved every minute of it. I felt his love, his determination, his drive to give Katherine everything. Isn't that every girls dream, to have her prince charming who loves her with every fiber of his being? Dominic Knight=Prince Charming in my eyes. I felt his love for his Queen and loved every over the top thing he did for her. I believed it was pure romance at its best and not to forget the super steamy sex in the mix!!

 photo Rightclickonimageforsaveoptions2.gif

I must say that the ending to this trilogy made me feel complete. Their love endured heartbreak but it only make them stronger and more committed to each other. Dominic Knight was "Over the Top" because Katherine Hart forever changed his soul and his heart. Their love was felt deep within, it was powerful, controlling and passionate. It was Today, Tomorrow, Forever.

Thanks for such a wonderful trilogy CC Gibbs/Susan Johnson. I am looking forward to Nicole's story!!

I was really looking forward to this story, but alas...

Boring, uninteresting are the two words that come to mind when I think of this volume.
I expected so much more development of the characters and scenarios themselves. Why discuss topics (such as Chinese and Italian mafia, threats against Kate) if it is not to exploit them later?

There is no action, no development of the story, just unnecessary and futile descriptions about what they eat, what they wear, how they get from one room to another (yes you read that correctly!!) ... Boring!

About the characters, it's like Nick and Kate had been lobotomized between the first book and this one.
Double-face Kate acts like a virgin around people , but with Nick she is a lunatic nymphomaniac . I HATED HER HERE and did not feel any sympathy for her even after the because from start to end she acts like a spoiled brat .
As for Nick ... just who was this guy???? Mss Gibbs give me back the ruthless, arrogant, dominant male who knows what he wants and don't give a shit about how to get it. I don't want this tamed dog who , to get his candy, has to perform like what is expected , muzzling his instinct , because god forbid he scare innocent Kate!!

To me, this isn't a love story but a lust story . To get what they want (sex for the matter), "virgin" Kate has just to pout and Nick has just to give in (which is stupid and rong move from Nick when he just has to lift his eyebrow to make her come again , and again, and again...) . And when you see how Nick hides his thoughts and actions behind his smexy smile (god forbid he scare "innocent" Kate!! ) you know that this relationship isn't based on honesty and respect.

As for the epiloge and Nicole (Nick's niece) , let me guess miss Gibbs : poor little girl who had been spoiled by a loving family , has seen and done absolutly everything in the word , now at the age of 22 is just bored by life and don't know what to do with her littles fingers , isn't it miss Gibbs???
If you plan to write her story , then please, please, please , don't make her as superficial and as antipathetic as Nikolai Kuzan from Seized by love (written with your other pen's name, Susan Johnson) . I hated this character.

I really liked this series but this final book was just not the same as the others. It felt a bit slow and lacked the thrill that I liked so much in the previous books. Both Dominic and Kate lost their edge. Nick was too much of a softy with Kate, less dominant and controlling, which I had thoroughly enjoyed in the first two books. We got glimpses of the dominant Nick but it never lasted. I do get that this book demonstrated how much Nick had grown and matured. I just felt it was a bit too much on the mush side. And Kate, while still feisty, she seemed almost spoiled or bratty at times.

 photo AllHeDesires_zpsdf7bb667.jpg

One thing is for sure, there was LOTS of hot, steamy sex.

While the writing was still fantastic, parts of this third book seemed unnecessary and more like one long epilogue. Although, the ending for Kate and Nick was sweet and well deserved! This was still a great series! Finally, let's just say the ending was a great teaser for Nicole and Rafe's story. Rafe sounds all kinds of bad in a really GOOD way...can't wait!

So I cheated. Unwilling to wait for the US release, I got my hands on the UK release. Patience is not something that I’m familiar with.

In the final book, Dominic finally has everything he wants. Kate may not know the circumstances that took him from her, but she’s taken him back and they are preparing to start their lives, their family.

Dominic never thought he would fall in love and have a happily ever after. Sure he was married before, but that was not about love or passion. For the first time, someone has broken through to him, melted his heart. Someone he wants to protect and would be willing to give everything up for.

But Kate is still stubborn as all hell. She loves the man, but isn’t one to simply roll over. He’s given her everything she’s always wanted but when tragedy strikes and rips it out of their grasp, Kate has to fight even harder to get what she wants.

Well. This final installment left me a bit torn. I loved the first two books and felt that this was just a bit slowly paced for me. Dominic became a bit soft at times and I missed that hard edge that he had at the start of the story. The writing remained stellar, but part of me felt like the trilogy could have been condensed into just two books without missing too much.

I think a bit of the drama was what I was missing. I don’t need much, but the dynamic of the first two books just wasn’t present with the third. It felt like an expanded epilogue, minus the one particular tragic event.

With all that said, I still loved this series as a whole. Dominic Knight was a fantastic character that had just the edge that I love and Sophie was sassy enough to keep me engaged and not want to throttle her. Overall the rating on this lands near a 3.5, but the series as a whole is still much closer to a 5 star read. Looking forward to the future projects from C.C. Gibbs.

3.5 STARS.

I loved the first two books of this series so my expectations were very hight but the authos CC Gibbs did not disappoint! Knight Takes Queen was the perfect conclusion to this thrilling, addictive, sexy, captivating series that I would highly recommend giving a try.

Dominic Knight; dominating kinky alpha male billionaire, and Katherine Hart; clever, sensitive but surprisingly strong and career driven, have both come a long way since they first met. They have now both finally accepted that they are made for each other and that they each deserve their shot at happiness. Still, circumstances occur that will make it hard for them to survive, their relationship will be tested but determined and controlling Nick knows what he wants and he's willing to do whatever it takes to protect his future with Kate by his side. Both were likeable MC's, but in this final chapter it was especially Nick who stole the show with his will to make their relationship work and the swoon worthy way he loved and cared for Kate.

Overall, I really enjoyed this series and I already know I'll be keeping a close eye on this author's future work!

This expresses my overall feelings about this trilogy
description/

My hat goes off to the author for finishing a 3 part story that many readers have enjoyed.

I’m the outlier here. This trilogy left me with too many unanswered questions. Things didn’t make sense. Something would be introduced then forgot about and never brought up again.

It wasn’t all bad, but my dominating feelings (see what I did there? Dominic was supposed to be dominating hehehe) were frustration and confusion.

I’m glad Kate and Dominic’s volatile relationship finally got the happy ending.

To me this is, Dominic and Katherine motto, which is amazing when you know who Dom “was” before Kath.

5 GIGANTIC STARS!!!!! The last book of this trilogy was different from the previous two books because you could definitely see how Katherine dramatically changed Dominic life.

Dominic learned what “happiness” and “love” and “thinking about someone else” meant from being with Katherine. Kath was still kind of a brat at times but what the heck? I still love her character. There were some dramatic events in this story. But basically it’s a really “feel good” love story. Do you want the erotic scenes? Well – you won’t be disappointed because there are enough of those scenes also.

Katherine changed Dominic so much that you only got occasional glances of the demanding and controlling Dom (which we came to enjoy) which we saw in Books 1&2. However, there is one portion of their story where Dom is more like the “old self” when he agrees to do something for Kath that he isn’t quite ready for. But isn’t that “love”? YES, it is gals! Except that it is usually “us” doing the things we aren’t ready for - for the “sake of love”. *SMILES*

There is an amusing small part of the story where Katherine shows her “firecracker” personality – she may be little but she got a “bang” to her. She confronted a much taller woman in Dominic’s past and she didn’t back down. Kath was ready to “throw down”. Kath definitely kept Dom entertained and was rarely boring.

It’s a perfect ending for the whirlwind romance of Dominic and Katherine. And I’m also extremely pleased that I obtained the UK version so I could finish this trilogy :) Yep – I can be impatient like that and this trilogy was absolutely worth it.

I don't know how I even managed to finish this series!! But thanks God, it's over.
The both of main characters are so annoying, that even all of these sex scenes and some bittersweet moments aren't enough for me to get over that fact.

I had a little bit of time to review this one because I wasn't sure how I felt about it! All the other books I've put 4 stars but this one only get 3. And I feel guilty about it.

Even If I loved it I wanted more! More being the key word here =P
The story goes around one major subject and I wanted more of something else, more drama with the family, more Melanie, more Max, more times with friends,...

The ending also comes a bit too fast. I wanted more explanation. The events in the last two chapters are barely developed :/

In fact, I wanted a fourth book ;)

But don't get me wrong, 3 stars for me means that I really like the book, it's just that I'm a bit dissapointed.
I love Dominic even more in this one! He's more mature, and most of the times he's too protective and soft towards Kate.
Kate is always annoying. She acts like a spoiled child most of the time.
But they are perfect for each other and you'll see more than one in this final book ;)

I can't end this review without speaking of Nicole and Rafe!
We got a sneak preview and I can't wait to read their book!! I think I'll love Nicole and Rafe together! If you don't know them there's two teasers/chapters available in our group for CCGibbsFANS

First you need to read
Knight's Mistress (All or Nothing, #1) by C.C. Gibbs and Knight's Game (All or Nothing #2) by C.C. Gibbs

Attention different name's title in US (but same book) All He Wants (All Or Nothing, #1) by C.C. Gibbs and All He Needs (All or Nothing, #2) by C.C. Gibbs

4.5 ★

This was a beautiful conclusion to Dominic and Katherine's story. It started right where All He Needs ends and I thought the story as a whole has no major highs or lows since the focus was mostly on them 2 dealing with their feelings... I think...

It took me a while to finish this as I was frustrated with Kate in the first 3rd of the story. I get it that she was . So bec of that, I took a hiatus from the book.

But get this, the moment I picked it up again, I realized had I read a few more pages, I would've carried on just like that. By the halfway point, I was completely sucked in. Granted it was a sad event, but CC was able to make me care again, esp for Kate. I thought the emotions were raw, sincere and real, appropriate of the situation. *sad face* And as Dominic and Kate try to recover from that situation, I wanted to see them move forward as badly as they did. Which is what consisted the rest of the story. It's domesticated without the craziness from the early part of their relationship and it's alright, it has to settle down and mature at some point, just like any normal relationship.

Throughout this, I have to point out that THE entire reason for me to read is Dominic. Oh, Dominic... le sigh... He's like the ultimate alpha H. Can't fully explain it, but he hit all the right romance buttons for me, just saying...

And I think I can finally say that I get CC's writing style. I suppose she can't fully get rid of her historical romance voice in her contemporary romance writing, but you know what, it's all good. CC, if you keep giving me H like Dominic, I'll keep reading *chuckles*

Great conclusion to Nick and Kate's whirlwind romance!

It had all I desired in the final book of Nick and Kate's powerful love story.

Nick is everything I wanted him to be. Loving, protective, devoted, but still commanding and desirable.

Even though they are faced with a personal tragedy, it let us see their love for each other in a whole new level. Out of sadness came one of the sweetest storyline in the series. I loved the drama of it and how it showed their bond is even tighter than ever.

And can I say that I love "tantrum" Nick! He was a bit reckless, snarky, but only because it masks his reluctance and his fear for events that are out of his control.

We see Dominic in a whole new light, a changed man in this book. We've journeyed through all the ups and downs with Nick and Kate and the ending was just beautiful.

also published as Knight takes Queen..

Another trilogy that need not have been a trilogy! Book 3 is filled with repetition of how much Dominic has changed and given up for Kate! We got that point every-time those who knew him and his tendencies before Kate came into his life made a mental note or voiced out how much Dominic has changed. It was referred to too much! The epilogue was compromised just to set up Nicole's story. The book could have been evenly spaced out to include the three years that was crammed into the last two chapters.

It was fascinating to escape into the make believe world of an alpha billionaire who had and spend more money that sanity. All the medical staff that were hired for Kate's pregnancy, REALLY!!!!!!!

I could see what was going to happen coming from a mile away. I think that there is a part of this book that should have been the catalyst to their relationship starting from the beginning that would have worked better for me.

Also, I didn't like how one moment a character would be on her side then against her. Also, there could have been more conflicting interaction with his mother.

I don't know. I liked it enough, just not as much as everyone else. Bummer.

WARNING - SPOILERS!

This is the final instalment of the Knight Series and its clear that CC Gibbs has spent a lot of time mastering her craft.
When we finished book 2 Dominic had been forced to marry a young pregnant girl (not his child) to protect Kate's life. Kate, herself was pregnant and working in London.

You'd expect the level of drama to pick up in book 3 to match its predecessor. This is not the case. We start off in candy land. Lots of fabulous sex but not much meat. I was disappointed when I began fearing we had lost the drive of the previous two books. The marriage to the young girl finished with a swift and painless international divorce as soon as her baby was born. Plans for Kate and Dominic's marriage progressing with no real hitch (it's amazing what money can achieve) and page after page of very satisfying sexual conduct.

I was not satisfied though.

That's until chapter 13.

CC crafted such a raw moment that, as a reader, I was grateful for every tranquil moment the couple got to embrace before it. The moment caused such loss and pain for the characters that the grief was clear as day on the page. It brought this reader to tears.

Dominic did what he does under such stress, he organised everyone. He moved the world to bring himself and Kate any sort of control and happiness in a world out of control and full of loss. He becomes the unmoving mountain of strength that protects and nurtures his soon to be wife.

But even mountains crumble. In pure rage over the loss he inflicts pain upon himself, punching a defenceless wall. His hands the only outward showing that he's in incredible pain. The only place the steel of his resolve doesn't hold is when he's in the presence of Kate. The one he safeguards opens him wide.

This broke my heart -

'I punched a brick wall.'
'They look like they hurt.'
'Not as much as the rest hurts. It was a really nice dream, perfect in fact. You and me and,' he stopped, took a small breath, ' you and me is just fine.'

Their marriage in the hospital worked just how it should, surrounded by yellow roses. I know of no other story where a wedding happens like this one. It was beyond fitting.

Dominic's fears don't diminish as time goes by even though Kate finally agrees to work with him (something he's been trying to get her to do since the beginning of the series). If anything they increase. The truth of his love is not in the acts of sex or words but in his deeds. He fights with her, surrounded in anger and love combined and gives her her hearts desire regardless of his wants and crippling fears.

That declaration of love under duress solidified for me the depth of feeling he has for her. Not in giving her the world but in the giving of what (for self preservation reasons) he does not want to give. That he gives even though in his terror he is out of his mind with rage. He rages with her not at her. He loves her completely, right through to their happily ever after where these books deserve to end.

This narrative was handled with great skill by CC and she used her craftsmanship to our advantage.

This is one of my highly recommended series and authors.

I hoped you enjoyed them as much as I did.

I was really looking forward to this book, I gave book one five stars and book two four stars but I struggled with this one. Kate is like a horny rabbit, and no, pregnancy hormones don't make you that horny, it's too much. Dominic is as domineering as ever although he's trying to change, and he does in a way to a point you no longer recognise him.

As expected tragedy strikes, and it overshadows the rest of the story, but there isn't really a story here. I expected more suspense and intrigue that never arrived.

I couldn't like Kate in this book, she's become much more aggressive in what she wants and her constant demands for sex spoiled the story for me. Dominic gave in to her too much, pampered her too much, and I suppose she came across as a spoiled child.

The last few pages of the book jumped several years and I'm not really sure what they were there for, other than to possibly introduce a new set of stories about Nicole in the future.

I'm trying not to be negative but I'm struggling, I had really high hopes for this book, but I think I should have stopped at the end of book one.

I received a NetGalley ARC of Knight Takes a Queen.

I've been in hot lusty love with Dominic Knight since the first few pages of the first book (Knight's Mistress/All He Wants) but this book...this book shows his possessive love knows no bounds. Dealing with the a difficult situation that many people contend with isn't easy when you've had horrible parents and haven't known love. Watching how Dominic loves Katherine and how he deals with the sliver of their lives he cannot control is heartbreakingly beautiful.

The fun banter that these two have is so much fun to read. The ridiculous amounts of sex tend to wear you down after a while though. Especially how he lashes out and takes the deal they make as a couple (handwritten contracts and all, quite cute) to a stupid place...fortunately, it doesn't stick because another little piece of that shield over the heart of a man so in love that he would slay anything that might grow into a dragon for his queen opens up a bit more.

These two get the happiest of ever afters. Loved this trilogy!

Man, I was so hard up for this book that I paid extra for the UK version so I didn't have to wait for the extended US release date - and I am glad I did!

This was a great series ending for Dominick and Kate. They still displayed their stubborn personalities even after making a commitment to one another, and still never a dull moment. And of course still sexy as hell intimacy.

In this book, I really got to see new facets of their personality with the added layers of this plot, I especially liked seeing them each show vulnerability at times. This is a couple truly in love with one another and it was a pleasure to see that unfold after 3 books. I don't have any remaining questions, all loose ends were tied up and the outlining of their future years down the line was so appreciated!

Epilogue was interesting as it didn't focus on Dominick and Kate, but promises more to come with a book about niece Nicole in the works, can't wait!

As afraid as I am of the third book in Trilogies, I loved book 3 most in this series. Ms. Gibbs really brings Dominic to life: from black & white to color. I also love Kate. I love that she's a fully fleshed out character. And I love that she has "synesthesia" because it's another way to how she experiences the world. And I love that she is as close to an equal partner as a woman can be in these billionaire/nobody books. BUT it's Dominic who has made me fall in love with this series. He lives and breathes on these pages, whether furious, calm, passionate or discovering love...especially the last, Dominic in love is a beautiful thing. I somehow don't quite get that Kate appreciates that, she's so darn full of it...love that is. But we constantly get to read what's going on in that complicated mind of Dominic's. So this time I don't want him as my billionaire book boyfriend, because he has Kate, and loving her has brought Dominic blazingly to life.

Totally Awesome!! 5+ Stars!!

description

The third book totally met all my expectations!! Dominic Knight in love was amazing and so fun to watch, I want a Dominic Knight too. The sex was amazing, the drama was heartbreaking and the romantic side was there and the sweet side with Nick father too!! The third book was the whole package, is what I usually expect from the last book of the series to be!
Loved it and I will totally miss reading about them! But at the epilogue something about Nicole (Nick's niece) will happen and the writer is going to write about her too in a new series, where we will have also parts of Nick and Kate's life!!
So can't wait...bring it on CC Gibbs, loved your writing and will read more from you!

I'm wavering between 3 and 4 stars. I felt Kate was objectionable on so many levels at times, and needlessly so. I thought Dominic was equally as accommodating when he probably shouldn't have been. I felt we missed his 'Dom' tendencies in this last chapter of the trilogy. This left me feeling as though they kept promising to punish each other but rarely deliver on the 'real' punishments, especially because he supposedly loved his whips etc. I was looking for more of a BDSM feel and didn't find it. There weren't any major angsty dramas but plenty of sex and all consuming love, which got a little boring at times. That said, I would not kick Dominic Knight out of my bed any time. I enjoyed the trilogy and Dominic's billionaire ways.

All He Desires is book 3 in the All or Nothing series by C.C. Gibbs .

Ah, a new issue in the emotional turmoil with Kate and Dominic to push them together. Dominic showed a new side of his feelings.

This story had its very low moments, enlarging the world and character building. You’ll have to read the book to figure out what that means!

This good book was a real rapid read!
