Grace "Ruby" and her daughter are on the run from her abusive husband. She has had enough and his cruelty is getting worse. Finding a new home in Vegas where she believes she will go unnoticed. Stripping was never on her plan, but it is about the only thing she can find that will keep her off the radar. When she meets Maverick though he gives her an offer she can't refuse.

Maverick needs a caregiver for his Grandmother. He can't be there all the time as he has business with his MC the Steel Demons. Maverick knows Ruby is hiding her past but he is patient. He forms a friendship with her trying to earn her trust, but he wants more and her skittishness lets him know to bide his time. Can he save her when the past catches up with her.

This was really good. Pulled in right away and I was eager to see Maverick and Grace come together. Entertaining, full of intriguing characters. Going to have to go back and read more in this series.

I wish the cover model had red hair like the MMC.

This has been my least favorite of the series, but I think that is mostly because I was slow reading it.

ALSO, was does every MC book have a book about a dude named Maverick.

Great Story

Maverick was a member of the Steel Demons MC and was a man who loved his grandma. With that said even though he was a big tough biker you knew he had to have a heart of gold underneath that all. That heart is what lead him to help a woman who he could see needed saving.

Grace was a battered woman who was on the run with her little girl and when Maverick offered her a job watching over his grandma things took a turn. Grace was guarded but learned that Maverick was there to protect her and her little girl from her abuser who was stalking her.

There was plenty of action and steam in this book. I feel in love with the couple and the little girl along with grandma. What a great heartwarming story done biker style.

Finding love in a strip joint... not exactly what Grace ("Ruby") was looking for when she started working there, and even less what Maverick wanted when he spoke to her. The story is fast paced, and again I'm thinking these guys need some kind of Sex Ed because they all end in the same way... But the story is different and enjoyable.

I love the protective bikers in this series! The way they go all in with their Old Ladies at first glance and never look back and how they live and protect them makes me all gooey inside! Can't wait for the next book to come along!

Another great addition to the series!

Wow! I am still smiling and being giddy after finishing this book. This third installment of the Steel Demons MC had it all! An intriguing plot, a swoon-worthy, protective hero and a sweet, troubled heroine! What more can a girl ask?

I loved both Maverick and Grace. Maverick is amazing! Insanely protective, tough and determined to be there for everything and everyone he holds dear. Grace is sweet, but also determined to change her life for the better and do whatever it takes to achieve that. She is caring and levelheaded and an incredible Mom – and person in general. At the beginning of the story, Grace finds herself on the run in order to save herself and her daughter, Sophie, from her abusive husband. She ends up in Steel City and has to work as a stripper at the Den to make ends meet, since she can only work for cash. Enter Maverick. He sees her there and immediately feels protective of her and saves her from a dire situation. He then proposes her another job – his grandma, Mabel (who I absolutely adored, by the way) needs home care due to old age and certain health problems, and he offers Grace the position. He meets Sophie and feels even more protective of them both. He also understands Grace is running from something, but she is as close as an oyster. However, inevitably, sparks fly and they are both drawn to each other. So, when trouble catches up with her, how will he react? Will protecting his grandma be his main concern? What will the MC do? How will Grace navigate through it all? I couldn’t turn the pages quick enough to find out – I finished the book in less than two days!

All in all, it was an amazing, 5-star read, in my opinion. I highly recommend it and I can’t wait to read the stories of the rest of the MC guys!

I love MC's romance as well as this series so far and, as a whole, the book was really good. I loved Maverick and Graces characters and found it easy to root for them to find love together. And, OMG, Sophie is such a cutie. BUT there was a couple places in the story after Grace and Maverick were together but not "officially" together (he was telling everyone that his end goal was to make Grace his) though they were having sex, and they were at the clubhouse. Grace was sitting across the room and Maverick was at the bar. The club bunny, Simone, was draped across his back. One of the scenes stated, and I quote, "he was wearing her like a coat" and it of course, bothered Grace. Ellie and Lisa spoke to her about and tried to comfort her since he was never interested in Simone. Afterward, it mentioned that Maverick noticed that Grace was acting withdrawn but it was never mentioned it again and he never apologized for it. It just acted like it never happened. The reason that bothered me so much 1) Acting like that right in Graces face goes against who Maverick seemed to be at a person especially with him knowing how insecure and distrusting she is because of her past. Up until that point he was very aware and considerate of her feelings and 2) I can't get on board with a MMC that would behave in such a disrespectful manner and it not be addressed at some point. It really disappointed me and made his love her come into question. There were similar scenes in two books from the two previous books in the series and the MMC pushed her away from them and made it clear that they were taken. I hate that it never happened with Maverick.

Maverick is a member of the Steel Demons MC. They are in a feud/territory dispute with a cartel that wants to take over. After coming back from being gone on business for a week he visits his grandmother. Then heads to a gentleman's club to relax. There he sees a woman who looks like she doesn't want to do something. He steps in. Then he asks her if she would be willing to help care for his grandmother. So Ruby and her daughter Sophie move in with Mabel. It's a win/win situation. Sophie gets a grandmother figure and Mabel gets help. Maverick feels good because he's helping a woman. Then on an outing to a carnival she gets the feeling that she's being watched.
Ruby ran away from her husband who beat her. She grabbed her daughter and ran to Las Vegas. She doesn't want to tell anyone and she is trying to stay low because if her ex finds her he could bad damage to her and her daughter. Then her life is threatened. Will Maverick be able to help her and finally let his heart feel?
A beautiful action story that will touch hearts.

What I liked- Maverick is so hot, and Grace is a lot stronger than she thinks. Sophie and Leo are darling, and Mabel is great. I love the Found Family they create. It’s never easy to read about abuse, or about someone being on the run from an abuser, but this book is worth it.
What I didn’t- what happened to the cartel? You’d think that they would retaliate. But overall, I liked the book.

CW: On-page abuse (not between main characters)

Gotta say, not a fan of an MMC who was willing to just send a woman and child on their way with no help when he knew they were being followed by an abusive man - also holding it against the MC that they said "we have too many other problems, we don't need hers too."

I wanted to like Maverick and I did up until he found out about her situation. Once he was like "I have to think of my grandmother's safety and do absolutely nothing to help get you set up elsewhere," I was done with him. And then all of a sudden he decides he loves the FMC and her daughter? Nah. I'm not here for that.

I did finish this book and kept going in the series, but the way an abuse victim was handled in this book didn't sit right with me. Especially when Rocky got upset, Grace was terrified, and both Rocky and his woman made a joke of it. This book just seemed really callous and like the author doesn't at all understand abuse or abuse victims.

This was a one-sit reading adventure for me ;) Maverick was beyond fab - caring and so swoon worthy. Grace, an abused woman on the run with her daughter, was tougher than she knew and I love the chemistry between her and Maverick. He needed a home assistant for his Gma, Mabel, and Grace seemed the perfect fit...until her troubled past caught up with her. Yikes! While it's never easy to read about abuse, this story really melted my heart with the family found aspects to it. And there are a few. And the kids, Sophie and Leo, were beyond cute, adding another wonderful dimension to this story. Thankfully, we get an HEA and I'm really looking forward to the next book. This has been a great series so far :D

What a great story again and with a little dark touch. Grace and her daughter Sophie have moved to another city away from her violent ex. She ends up working in a strip club, which she doesn't really want, but it brings in money. There she meets Maverick one day when a customer is difficult and aggressive and he comes to her aid. I thought they were great together and just when we think things are going well. her past surfaces and Maverick and his club must do everything they can to keep her safe and protect what he now considers his.

They ended up in Vegas where Grace who had dyed her blonde hair to red and working as a stripper where Maverick aka Dylan defended her from a drunk man who wanted a lap dance. He hired her later as a live-in companion for his grandma, Mabel, therefore Ruby and her daughter moved into her home. Maverick knew that she wasn't telling what she was hiding from? Red/Grace has taken the last beating from her, she and her daughter escape. She meets Maverick at the strip club she is working. Maverick knows she is running from something, she has that haunted look and seems so out of place at the club. His proposes a deal, work for him, taking care of his grandmother.

Dylan/Maverick never thought he would want anything more with a woman until he meets Red. The more time she spends with her, the more she gets under his skin.

This is the third in the Steel Demons MC series, Maverick proves he is sweetie when it comes to his girls.

Grace takes her daughter Sophie and runs from her abusive husband, doing what she has to do to survive and remain hidden. Maverick meets her when there's a bit of trouble at her job, and he's out to make her life improve. He's strong, protective, and swoonworthy. She's a tough cookie, and doesn't trust him. But she does trust Grandma Mabel, and so does Sophie. I truly enjoyed their story; not always a smooth ride, but they get to their HEA just the same. The series gets better with each book added, and I'm overjoyed to find out that there is another coming this summer. After the beating Grace got, she took the chance. Taking Sophie her daughter she heads to Nevada to start over. Finding a job in a strip club, all is good until a customer gets a bit too touchy. It is then she meets Maverick who comes to her aide and offers her a job away from the club. All is going well until her past makes a reappearance. Maverick is the third book in the Steel Demons MC series. The first three books in the series are entertaining, with dynamic storylines and relatable, realistic, engaging, and endearing characters.

The male characters in these books are strong alpha men who respect, love, and protect their women fiercely. The women have all gone through some trauma and have come out stronger on the other side of it. The Steel Demons are a strong MC family you don't mess with.

Maverick is a page-turner with a storyline that includes drama, action, suspense, humor, romance, and hot steaminess. Maverick and Grace's journey to their happily ever after will keep you turning the pages! I can hardly wait for the next book in the series, Hawk!

Mav and Gracie’s story has them meeting at the strip club she is working at after taking her last beating from her ex. She tries to get away from a customer who gets to grabby. He intervenes and offers her an alternative job being an aide to his gma, Mabel. He knows something has happened to her and her daughter due to the look in their eyes. But when her abusive ex shows up, she’s sees just what they both mean to him and his MC family.

Great story!!

This is the third book in this phenomenal series and this is Maverick and Grace's story.
This is a well written emotional roller coaster ride, with found family, friendships, emotions, loyalty, trauma, challenges, danger, suspense, intrigue, secrets, tension, humour, action, retribution, undeniable chemistry, taking chances, and love, which leads to an entertaining, unpredictable, addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Grace is a strong character that does what she has to do to survive and take care of her daughter. She still managed to keep her ethics about how far she was willing to go and also care about how her actions affect others. Torn between his feelings for Grace and his family, Maverick was also a fantastic character and the perfect protective hero for Grace. Great story of romance and suspense and Maverick's Grandma Mabel was a hoot.

Maverick

An excellent read. I absolutely loved Maverick and Grace’s story ❤️❤️❤️ they started off with a spark that they both ignored and ended like a volcano erupting. A definite page turner with plenty of drama, chaos and danger, a cocky know it all club girl and brothers ready to lay down their lives. It was very entertaining. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎

Great!

I chose this rating because this was a pretty good book. I enjoyed pretty much all of the characters. This was a book of protection, kindness, compassion, safety, realizing your worthy to be loved, and also falling in love. I enjoyed Maverick and Grace story. I think the author did a great job of putting these characters together. Everyone love Grace little girl she was a breath of fresh air. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance readers and MC lovers.

When they slowly fall for each other, Grace fears for her past. Her daughter is content, and loves Maverick, so does she. Now it's the clubs turn to protect mom and daughter from their past.

Love it!

Really good read from beginning to ending. It is slightly predictable but still well worth the read. Grace became stronger with Maverick and was able to first escape her abusive background from Trent and did live the life she deserved. The story did not do a lot of MC club with the exception of a casual mention of the club bunny Simone.. It's still a good read, and the steaminess was an 8 out of 10. Definitely recommend. Now, I just have to read books 1 and 2.

This book has warning about spousal abuse, physical and mental abuse. This book should not be read if these are triggers for you. Stalking and verbal abuse are also present. The strong presence of the protective hero was certainly necessary. As well as the survivor who knew the warning signs.
