Damien!
Damien is the man! I think he is my favorite in this series! Izzy has some secrets and troubles that need to be dealt with. Damien is there the whole way. I will say, I was mad at Gio! Great epilogue!

I really liked this one. The story was well paced. Everything flowed together very well. Damien was perfectly protective and possessive. 4½ stars

Damien’s career in security often results in him having to travel on assignments on short notice and while he is away he boards his dog at the veterinary office which is how he met Judy. He has been attracted to her for a while, but it is when she is in danger that he allows his true feelings to emerge.
Izzy is trying to leave her past where it belongs, but it has also made her cautious when it comes to men and love. She is drawn to Damien in a way she has never felt before and a relationship begins between them but when her past resurfaces with a vengeance will he be able to keep her safe?
I really enjoyed these two together as her feisty personality has a way of challenging Damien which is exactly what he needs and their connection exceed far beyond the physical.

I have read and loved this series so so much and this no different. Anna Brooks always Captives and keeps us hooked. She always gives us all the feels and leaves you wanting for more.
This is Damien and Lizzy book finally they get their HEA. It doesn't come easy but then nothing this good does. So watching them love and protect each other was just beautiful. I loved every minute of their beautiful love story with all the twists and a bit of nail biting.
This book was sexy and never a dull moment.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I have read every book in this series and enjoyed them all, but the twists and turns in this one still took me by surprise. You can definitely read this as a stand-alone, but then you want to go back and enjoy the others.
Damien is a powerful, dirty-talking alpha man, just the type you think would work at Royal Security. His past has left him skittish about relationships of any kind, and unwilling to trust in people. Izzy is a receptionist at the veterinary clinic where he routinely boards his beloved dog when he is away for work. He is intrigued by her, and is totally unaware that she feels the same about him. Izzy has a tough personality shielding a gentle heart. The consequences of her last disastrous relationship still overshadow her daily existence, but she is getting increasingly anxious to act on her attraction to Damien.
There are so many complications to their relationship, but the heart wants what the heart wants. This story combines action and suspense with ‘forbidden little sister drama,’ and combustible passion. There are great secondary characters you will recognize if you read other books in the series, and excellent new ones as well. This story pulled me right in and didn’t let go. The ending of this story left me incredibly anxious to get to the next one. Anna Brooks, please write quickly!

Buried Treasure.
I loved the first chapter, things hit a head right off, but then the author brings you back to figure out how they got to this position. Damian finally goes after Izzy, well actually she makes the first move after quite a long time dancing around each other. There is a bunch of miscommunication between the two and totally things that should have given D a hint of a connection, but, that’s what makes the journey interesting. D has figured out his feelings quickly, and “I had the right, the honor of being the man who will fix her problems and put her at ease. Now and forever.” He’s all in, even before dinner with his parents, which is absolutely the funniest scene ever. Izzy shows her claws and it’s an event to see for sure. My emotions were at an all time high, after finishing the book. I’m still thinking about the ending two days later as it’s so gut wrenching. You will have to read to find out exactly what that is.
Great series, highly recommend.

I enjoyed reading this story of Damien and Izzy. Izzy works at a veterinary clinic/boarding facility where Damien leaves his dog, Judy, when he goes out of town for work. While the two were attracted to each other, they were not acting on it until Izzy did something for Damien. While that got Izzy into trouble at work, it finally brought the two of them together. I like that Damien did not beat around the bush and directly told Izzy how he feels about her. The story has mystery, suspense, action, drama, passion and love. There are complications, twists and turns that make the story interesting and intriguing to me that I have to keep on reading that to see what happens in the end. And what an ending indeed. Looking forward to the next one.

Gone is the seventh book in Anna Brooks’ Guarding Her Series. This one had me from the start and I couldn’t put it down. Damien is the focus of this one and let me tell you, I love this Dominant Alpha Man and his protective hard loving ways. He loves his dog, Judy, and is fond of the receptionist at the vet she boards at when he out of town on jobs. Izzy is very fond of Judy and her pawrent. These two end up taking things out of the vet office and hit it off big time. But when Izzy is in danger due to an ex boyfriend and his debt and Damien is determined to protect her. This book also has a nasty boss, a dangerous drug dealer, awful parents and brother, a lousy coward of an ex boyfriend, a wonderful protective dog and some hot steamy loving. This is a great addition to this series.

Gone by Anna Brooks is the seventh book in the Guarding Her series and it was so good! It is my absolute favorite in the series so far! Once I started reading, I couldn’t put it down. I swear, from the very first page I was addicted. Full of twists and turns, incredible characters, a storyline that will keep you glued to the pages, Gone will take you on a journey you do not want to miss!
Damien and Isabel were two fantastic characters. They were well developed and their growth was evident throughout the story. The chemistry between them was hot as hell which made the story all the better.
I’ve been a fan of Ms. Brooks from the very beginning and all I can say is that you can see her growth as a writer in Gone. Highly recommend reading this book!

I am loving the Guarding her series and 'Gone' the 7th book in this series does not disappoint.
Damien and Izzy's story is one of action, love, mystery and commitment which are ingredients that have the potential to generate great stories and Anna Brooks is an excellent cook!
The story is constantly moving with twists and turns throughout the pages.
Damien is all alpha and, when it comes to love, is a man who gets what he wants when he wants it.
Izzy is a girl who hasn't been lucky in love until she makes that move with Damien. She also has a feisty side which, for me, was unexpected but totally enjoyable!
This is one of those books that is difficult to put down once you start reading.
Grab yourself a copy as you wont be disappointed.

I love this series & all the guys & their women! Each story is full of twists that keep me on my toes!
Damien & Izzy's story was a quick, fun read. I didn't want to put it down! I loved the way they met & the way they ended up getting together. It was an interesting twist to the usual Alpha male claiming - while still BEING the type of claiming I love to see! ; )
We get lots of great banter, steam, emotion - LOVE the emotion! - suspense & a very well rounded, wonderfully written story. We see some great (and not-so-great) family relationships & friendships. There's a cuuuute pupper that steals some scenes. And we get a super satisfying HEA with hints (I hope) into the next book ... : )

I couldn't put this book down until the very end. This story had plenty of twists and turns, drama, action, mystery, and an incredible storyline. I loved the characters of Damien and Izzy. Damien is all alpha male and when it comes to protecting those he loves he gets it done and goes after what he want and that's Izzy. Izzy hasn't been so luck in love but that changes when she gets together with Damien. I found that she has somewhat of a feisty side to her personality that was endearing. There was some hot steamy scenes. I hated to see the story end as it was so engrossing. I'm adding this one to my library. Great addition to the series! Damien and Izzy
This series just keeps sucking me in. It's amazing how every couple has evolved, every story is so different and, in some way, they always meet. Damien and Izzy are an amazing couple, their story is exciting, dramatic, sensual and funny. I laughed, sighed and cried. Love books that keep me in the edge with unexpected twists and turns, this totally ranks as one of those. I have to say that Judy, the pit, was probably one of my favorite characters, gotta love pets with main roles! Looking forward to Anna Brooks future work and more from the guys at Royal!

This is a wonderful book about a man named Damian who works as a bodyguard for a security company. He falls in love with a young woman named Lizzy who works as an assistant veterinarian, and who has a deeply held secret. It turns out that she needs protection from Damian because she is in great danger from someone. It is a mystery for the reader to solve. What is her secret? Who is after her? Why? There are shocks and surprises until all work out in an HEA. I highly recommend this book!

I have loved this whole series and all of the couples that Anna Brooks has written. Damien and Izzy's story is no different. Damien is as alpha as all the other guys and Izzy is as sweet as they come. The biggest obstacle is that Izzy's brother is one of Damien's co-workers. Both couples have secrets and pasts. I loved that there was an added bonus in the form of Judy (Damien's dog) in this book.
Gone was a perfect lazy weekend read for me. It had humor and some crazy hotness in it. It also had enough drama/angst to pull me in but not enough to make me anxious. I read it in one sitting and loved every minute of it.

I Absolutely Love This Whole Series!!
I absolutely love this series. The male characters are full-blown Alphas and sexy as hell and the females can hold their own against the men.
Gone is no exception. Damien and Isabel are beautifully written. The storyline is so real, I feel like I am watching the events unfold in front of me and I was never disappointed.

When Damien falls for Lizzy, he has no idea of the secret she is hiding and now she needs his help to keep her safe. You will be sucked in from the start and not able to put this book down. So much suspense, danger, and mystery behind who is after Lizzy and why? Can Damien keep his woman safe or is he up against something more powerful than he expected? Great read, loving this series. Intense and filled with pain, grief, guilt and regret as Rebecca and Joshua met at the peak of their own despair. I liked the way the author executed the story in fourteen days that revealed Bex’s and Joshua’s history a little at a time.
Their attraction for each other helped them both deal with their issues. Full of relational drama that culminated in a great ending filled with closure.

This was the first book I've read in this series, even though that it's titled as book number 7. I picked it up because I love reading bodyguard stories. The story is told from Izzy and Damien's point of view, which is written in the first person, which I always love. They had great chemistry together, it was a very good story.

Usually when I read a series with this many books... my attention span starts to go a little AWOL. Not with this series Anna Brooks keeps coming up with amazing ideas to keep you interested and wanting more. Izzy and Damien are a strong couple that have you loving the slow burn that Anna writes. She spins a tale that will have wlyoi wondering were time went as you rush to see what happens next.

Damien is the ultimate alpha male bodyguard but with Izzy he’s also the sweet gentle man of her dreams. He’s kind, caring and loves his dog. There is so much happening in this book you literally will be turning pages until you’ve read it in one sitting. Drama after suspenseful drama sucks you in. Love the boys of Royal security.

Gone was a good story, the plot was written well, it was filled with many emotions. Damien and Izzy were strong characters. They journey was a bit bumpy, they had a few obstacles but they were good for each other. Damien was very protective when it came to Izzy, he'd do anything for her.
Izzy and Damien were drawn to each other, their chemistry was sexy, they had a strong connection, they were great together. I enjoyed their journey.

I freaking LOVED Damien!! He's so alpha, sexy and he loves his dog. Lol. I was so excited to start this one and it didn't disappoint. I seriously loved how he was with Izzy. Once he loves he doesn't stop letting her know what she means to him. The romance, the suspense and the chemistry made this such a good read! But that ending!! I can't wait for the next book!!

Loved Damien and Izzy's story! As with the others in this series, suspense abounds, lots of twists I didn't see coming in this one! Damien is my favorite type of Alpha, dirty talking protector, and of course they have their obstacles to get through (a good portion of which are miscommunications) but they get there lol. On the way they have plenty of humor and heat, perfect beach or pool read!

What a great addition to the Guarding Her series! Damien and Izzy’s make such a great couple and I loved all of the twists that were given throughout the book. It really felt like I was flying through the pages. If you love witty banter, suspense, romance and a whole lot of fun, this is the book for you

I loved Damien and his "Izzy" 's story. The initial flirting game was sweet. And, how could you not fall in love with Judy? She was sweet, but fierce when she needed to be. I love how loving and protective Damien was almost immediately when it came to Izzy. There's always trouble, so the suspense is high. And there's a few secrets that add to the drama, but this was a fun read.
