The toughest part about reading the Gumboot Gals and Guys books for me is that I just so much wish I had been right there as part of the crew! I enjoyed every story in this book, as I followed along with their travels on a map. What a different time it was in the late 70’s as these fresh young people headed out to pioneer on the west coast. No experience, but so much thirst for adventure and coastal living experiences. I heartily recommend reading this, and have my fingers crossed that there may be more books in the collection!
