After six years of being apart, Amber and Kyle finally found each other again, only to be ripped apart once more by a force they couldn't control. After a tragic accident that almost takes Amber's life, she's left in a hospital without any memory. She doesn't know who she is, let alone the man that she married and has loved since childhood.
When Amber finally wakes from her coma, Kyle feels like he can breathe again. The hope that he has held onto every day he has sat in the hospital with her has pulled through. They can now push Beau behind them and finally get the happily ever after they deserve. Only, Amber has no idea who he is.
Feeling his hope wither away once more, Kyle sets out and makes it his personal duty to help her remember, or make her fall in love with him again. After all, they have a connection that can pull through anything, and will.
Is their love really enough to conquer even the most difficult and life-altering situations?
Trust is lost, promises are broken, and hearts are shattered.
Will Kyle and Amber be able to withstand the changes ahead of them, or will it tear them apart for good?
After growing up in Saranac Lake, a small town in upstate NY, Kathy-Jo Reinhart returned to her birth place and where she spent her summers with her grandparents, St. Petersburg, Florida, after graduating High School. The sub zero climate and piles of snow definitely weren’t a loss, in her opinion, and this is where she still resides with her Husband of fifteen years and their eleven year old son, who they lovingly refer to as their miracle baby. A name righteously earned after a very difficult and scary pregnancy with 7 1/2 months on complete bed rest. By day, she works as an Office Manager for a construction company started by her grandfather and uncle. Like most people, she has a love hate relationship with her job, but cherishes all the years she was able to work side by side with her grandfather before he passed away. Writing has always been something that she has loved. In school, creative writing was her favorite class. Writing a book was something she had always wanted to do, but was too afraid she didn't have what it took to make it happen. After going from working sixty hours a week to twenty, she found herself with a lot of extra time on her hands and decided it was time to take the leap. Crossing her fingers and closing her eyes, she jumped into creating the Oakville series and hasn’t looked back. The first five star review she received after First Love, the first book in the Oakville series, was published, left her speechless, overwhelmed with emotion, and so blown away that someone really liked what she had written. Her initial fears seemed to calm and reassured her that others love her writing just as much as she loves doing it. How it will all turn out, still remains a mystery, but she’s having a blast seeing where these characters will take her. When she isn’t spending time with her characters, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, scrapbooking, and doing ancestry research.
Warning this review may contain some spoilers of book one. It is recommended you read the first book in the series before reading this one.
After being apart for six years, Kyle and Amber finally have found each other again, but are ripped apart once more by events that are out of their control. After the tragic accident at the end of book one that almost takes Amber’s life, she awakes from her coma with no memory. She doesn’t know who she is, let alone who Kyle is: her soulmate, childhood sweetheart and husband.
Kyle feels like he can breathe again now that Amber is finally awake. He hoped everyday that she would pull through and now it has finally happened, he is devastated to learn that Amber has no idea who he is. Kyle, however, sets out to make her fall in love with him all over again. This book has left me totally speechless and with a major book hangover. The love that Kyle and Amber have for one another is strong, but will it be strong enough for everything they are faced with as tragedy knows how to find them? You are going to need more than a box of tissues for this one and will be find it even more difficult to put down than the first book. There are so many things that you will not expect to happen so that wow factor will be around a lot. The author does an excellent job with her writing that you are there with Kyle and Amber and everything that is happening to them. The support from their friends is exactly how it should be and when that laughter is needed after pages of tears or when someone needs to be put in their place it happens as it should. This is an amazing continuation of Kyle and Ambers story and it is very highly recommended.
I am looking forward to reading more from this author and getting to know the other supporting characters in their books.
kathy -Jo Reinhart What are you trying to do to me !!
Remember Me !!
This book I won't ever forget !! Amber and Kyle's story is certainly full of chaos every emotion possible is felt as you read through this book. Amber and Kyle certainly have a love a bond stronger than steel . As their journey to overcome the worst thing that could happen to Amber as they thought.. There is yet another major episode in their life the tragedy that this couple goes through it broke me . With every up there's a feeling of doom. I was reading this crying it's a truly well written book it gets you right in the heart . Amber has an amazing amount of friends who are all ready to help her at the drop of a hat. Kyle her husband on the other hand is struggling to process his own emotions how will it pan out ?? You have to buy this series you honestly will understand what I mean if you read this book !!!! I now have to read the last book in this series I have to hope that Kathy - Jo Reinhart is not gonna break me again! !!!
Remember Me is book two in the Oakville series. It can not be read a s a standalone, you must read First Love first. First Love left off with a heart wrenching cliffhanger and Remember Me picks up where First Love left off. In First Love Kyle and Amber find their way back to each other. In this one they have to over come the outcome of a tragedy. Kyle and Amber are very well written characters. Their story pulls you right in. You can't help but be happy for their high times and sad for their low times. Kyle and Amber go through a lot in this story. It's an emotional read. Some of the thing they go through are surprising. At some points I was wondering if Kyle and Amber were ever going to get a break and a chance to be happy. There is no cliffhanger. It has a great ending.
OMG I really loved this book but let me just warn you now...grab that box of tissues and have it handy bc you will need it before you finish this book!! After the way things went in book 1 I could not wait for book 2. Amber and Kyle had finally made it back to each other after being apart for 6 years and had just gotten married when disaster struck one again thanks to that good for nothing Beau. Remember me starts with Amber waking up in the hospital and not remembering anything or anyone, not even herself. Even though she doesn't know who the handsome man is in her room she has an instant connection with him. When she doesn't recognize him she can see the pain in his eyes and it breaks her heart. When its time for Amber to be released from the hospital she knows she wants to go home with Kyle. She has no fear of him and knows that even though she can't remember things, that they have a one of a kind love and she is determined to get that back. Even with her constant nightmares and horrible headaches Amber begins to get her memories back. Will Amber and Kyle get back to who they were before the accident? Will more outside forces begin to tear them apart again? When life changing events happen for Kyle and Amber, will they be able to pick up the broken pieces and find their way back to each other?
OMG, I cannot say anymore with out giving something away and having Kathy-Jo come hunt me down. All I can say is this is a definite one click book. Your emotions will be all over the place but you will love every second of it. This book also shows you that no matter how hard you try, no matter how determined you are, there are just some things we have no control over. It really hit home for me but it also makes me realize that while I may have felt alone, I wasn't. I wish no parent ever had to go thru what I've been thru but it does happen and while it breaks us it also makes us stronger!! Amazing job Kathy-Jo!!! Thank you so much for sharing your story with me and others!! <3
*copy provided by the author in return for an honest review* Thank you Kathy-Jo!
Remember Me is the second book in the Oakville series, and it takes up where First Love left off. Here are my thoughts on this fabulous second installment:
- This book has a storyline that can be easily related to by women in particular. It feels like a very personal journey. - As a result it's a very emotional read and the turmoil the characters are going through is expressed beautifully. - I like to describe the main characters in this book as 'very human'. They feel like people you would know and not just characters from a book who are completely 'perfect', these people have their flaws just like the rest of us. - The secondary characters were also fantastic and I liked that they brought a little humour to the story as well as loving support for Kyle and Amber. It's narrated from the point of views of Kyle and Amber in the first person. - The writing is great and moves at a good pace. I found it impossible to lose interest, especially when the situation was quite intense. - The only confusing aspect of this book was knowing whether or not Amber had fully regained her memory from the amnesia. I felt this aspect was lost in the new challenges that the couple were faced with. - An ending that was fitting for this couple and yes it's a happy one. We love that!
Overall, a book that has happiness, bliss, heartbreak, grief, loss, drama and even a little humour. A nice book all round on the emotions, a little teary at times but no ugly crying involved, and a great follow-up to First Love by Kathy-Jo Reinhart.
Review of Remember Me (Oakville #2) by Kathy-Jo Reinhart
Review done for Hooked on Books
5 out of 5 stars
Wow. This book was just incredible. I didn’t know how the author was going to follow up from the amazing book one but she totally delivered.
Amber and Kyle had finally found their joy and happiness by getting married. Unfortunately that happiness was stripped away from them.
Thinking that they had suffered the worst possible nightmares, Kyle and Amber weren’t prepared for the absolute worst one yet.
I LOVE Kyle and Amber. They are so great together. I thought I knew what was going to happen in book 2 before I read it but I was totally wrong, and pleasantly surprised.
I laughed and cried right along with the characters. I love how the author showed us that in time of tragedy, men also suffer greatly. They are not always tough and also need help getting through tragedy.
Kathy-Jo Reinhart did an amazing job! I definitely recommend this series to read!
After the cliffhanger at the end of book one (First Love), I had to read this immediately after. This book picks up with Amber in the hospital with complete amnesia. Kyle comes to her rescue like the knight in shining armor he's been throughout most of book one. Luckily, her amnesia is temporary. One roadblock after another comes between Amber & Kyle and the happiness they deserve.
Amber's late term miscarriage was heartbreaking. How the author wrote tenderness into all of Amber & Kyle's friends (especially Angel at the gravesite) was amazing. I had tears the entire time.
Bring in another abduction, and there's another loop to the rollercoaster which is this book.
I read both books in the span of one evening. I cannot wait for the rest of the series, so I can read more about the group of friends.
I am speechless as I finished reading Remember Me. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. Kyle and Amber love each other but will this love be strong enough for all that they happen to them. I'm trying to write this without giving away any spoilers but I can tell you that you will need a box of tissues handy. I also found that I was glued to this book even more than I was with book one First Love. I was left feeling wow, so didn't expect this with book one, but Remember Me is so much more than that. I have also found myself another favorite author and I am so looking forward to reading many more books from her. I felt like I was there with Kyle and Amber with all the events going on with them and the support from all of their friends was perfect. When a laugh was needed or some being put in your place they were right there to provide. So grab your box of tissues and sit back and enjoy the continuation of Kyle and Amber's story, I know I did.

I was thrilled to have book two ready to read when I finished book one! This one took right off where book one left off, and had all of my favorite characters from the first book.
Not only did I find myself rooting for Amber and Kyle again, I also found that I was hoping to see more Holly, Paul, and Angel in the story line as well.
There's no lack of drama or suspense in this book, it follows closely to the first book, in that you just know something is going to happen....and you are crossing your fingers and toes that Amber and Kyle come out on the other side of it together!
It flowed well and I cannot wait to read book 3. I'd really love it if each supporting character got their own book!
**Reviewed for Kylie's Fiction Addiction. A copy of the book was generously gifted in exchange for an honest review**
I immediately fell in love with Kyle and Amber in First Love, Remember Me only made the love for them stronger. Kathy-Jo is an amazing author. She definitely knows how told pull at the heartstrings. Remember Me was one heck of an emotional roller coaster, and I ugly cried through more than half of it. Remember Me picks up right where First Love left off. Kyle and Amber go through more than their fair share trials and tribulations, but they come out stronger than ever in the end. Their love is one that will last forever. The touchy subjects in Remember Me were written so honestly and gracefully by Kathy-Jo. She really knows what she's doing. I am looking forward to what's next in the Oakville Series. I know it will be just as amazing!
I absolutely fell in love when I read the first book First Love and I couldn't wait for Remember Me to come out and it was definitely worth the wait. When Amber wakes up she doesn't Kyle or anything else from her life. But she still feels the love and strong connection she has with Kyle and he spends everyday reminding her about her life. These two have such an amazing connection and are both so very strong. But when tragedy strikes and a dangerous person is revealed will it be enough to keep them together? This book is so full of emotion and I suggest keeping a box of tissues on hand during the entire story!
another amazing read, I can't imagine going through the things this couple has gone through.. I was heart broken for Amber. she is just so kind and loving and strong. the things this woman has had to deal with breaks my heart. on another note what I absolutely loved about reading this story was the friendships, the complete support from all of them made me smile, They were just there always no matter what . it's hard enough to have one true friend in you life but Amber and Kyle were very lucky in the friends department. this story has heartbreak, forgiveness, loyalty, strength, friendships and Love. Amazing read thank you so much.
I absolutely fell in love with First Love, the first book in this series, so I could not wait to get my hands on this book!! And boy did Kathy not disappoint it was filled with everything I love in a great story. It had drama, some suspense, and of course a great love story that leaves you rooting for the characters!! Speaking of characters I love them all even the supporting ones, I love me some Holly!!! I am so glad that I got the ending I was hoping for! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a truely epic love story!!
This book will forever have a place in my heart. By the end of the first chapter in the book was done, I just could not put it down. Remember Me is the second book of the Oakville series, continuation of Kyle and Amber's story. It had drama, suspense, and a great love story that leaves you cheering for the characters. The story is told in Dual POV’s and I really love that. I love a book that we can get into both the characters mind and get a better idea of what is going on. Amazing! I love the story and the characters. Please tell me there is more to come from this series.
Amber wakes from her coma with no memory of who anyone is. Kyle is destroyed that the love of his life can't remember anything. Kyle is determined to make her remember every moment they had. He's not ready to give up on Amber now that he's gotten her back. Just when things seem OK they get a huge surprise. Kyle has his doubts that everything will be OK. It seems like every time something good happens they get thrown back. Will Kyle be pushed away once and for all, or can their love handle the worst?
Wow !! once again Kyle and Amber's story takes me for a ride I literally had my heart broken to shreds ugly cried like a baby then beamed like I a child on Christmas morning! I love all the twist and turns and how I fell in love with each character. Just like the first book Kathy-Jo Reinhart does not disappoint and deserves every bit or more of 5 stars if you read this don't pass it by or you will be missing out definitely one of my top reads for 2015 hands down!
Reinheart does it again! Although at one point I thought it had slowed to a snails pace, it quickly picked right back up. this book isn't quite as sex driven as the first and will make you laugh, cry and gasp as the twists keep coming! A wonderful read!

What a read! What fantastic characters the author has written about. Saying that, I would strongly advise you to read the first book, First Love, as Amber and Kyle’s love story is not a standalone. Now back together after wasted years, more mature and even surer of their feelings for each other. It looks like there future is all settled until an accident leaves Amber fighting for her life. Kyle feels a surge of relief when Amber eventually comes out of her coma; however, his hopes come crushing down when she doesn’t recognise the man who she’s loved for so long. So Kyle arms himself with determination to help Amber recollect. I asked myself if he would be able to do it.
Amber is confused and scared not knowing who she is. But what she does feel is a strong connection to the man standing before her. As she doesn't feel threatened, upon release from hospital, she goes home with him. Her determination to get her memory and life back had me literally stuck to the pages, but when she starts to recover my heart broke a little. Tormented with nightmares and headaches, her memories slowly trickle back with the help of Kyle and her friends who guide her through this traumatic experience. Then life hands them another battering of the worst kind. Can they survive another blow? With outside forces still against them, will it be too much to bear this time or will the undying love they have for one another pull them through one last time?
This is the concluding part of Amber and Kyle’s story so no cliffy this time!! I warn you though— it’s a very emotional read which had me blubbering over my kindle screen! I loved the way certain things were written by the author with sensitivity and love and also showing that men can also be ripped apart emotionally when things like this happen. Not just the woman. The rekindled love is hot and they share some tender sweet moments. It’s a roller coaster ride of emotions and some twists and turns before we reach their ending to see if it’s happy or not. Download and see for yourself.
After tearing through First Love, I had to one-click the next book in the series. I fell in love with Amber, Kyle and the rest of the gang and my heart was breaking for all of them at the end. I had to know what would become of the sweet couple who were finally getting the happiness they deserved. Luckily, Remember Me picked up right where the first book left off (yes, you have to read book one).
I really felt connected to Amber and her frustration at her memory loss. I was invested in her getting her life back. I loved how everyone rallied around her and Kyle. I loved that the whole gang was present in this book; I loved them all and was happy that they weren't left out (not that they would allow themselves to be). And Kyle, he has to be one of the sweetest male characters I've ever read. The lengths he went through to get his girl back were super sweet and solidified his feelings for her. That is until he got too far inside his own head. WOW! I can honestly say that I did not see the book going in the direction it did- at all!
The surprise that the crew had for Amber melted my heart right before Kathy-Jo ripped it out, stomped on it, punched me in the face and kept on writing. This book absolutely gutted me. I had steady, silent tears streaming down my face and kept thinking to myself, this can't be happening to them right now. Thankfully, Beasley, Holly, Angel and Paul were all there to help Kyle and Amber pick up the pieces. However, when another threat pops up, all hope truly seems lost. My heart was racing with the intensity of those moments. Thankfully, that one was handled rather quickly. BUT I also wanted more of the after effect. There was a lot that need to be talked about and worked out and those details weren't included. I wanted to witness the putting back together again that they went through.
Overall, I enjoyed the conclusion to Amber and Kyle's story. I did want a little more but was glad things ended they way they did; full circle. I truly hope this isn't the last I see of this cast of characters. Fingers crossed for Angel's story soon!

I couldn't wait to read this book, after the cliff hanger from book 1, I just needed to know what came next. I was not disappointed with the way this story went. My emotions were pulled through the ringer throughout this book. Something about this couple captured my heart, they were real and the way they dealt with everything thrown at them was realistic. Their love has no bounds and I fell in love with them too.
Picking up where book 1 finished this couple are trying to deal with yet another tragedy, just when things were looking up for this couple they hit another bump. Now they have one of the hardest fights of their life. Will anything ever be the same for this couple again?
Waking up at the hospital Amber doesn't know how she got there and who are these strangers around her bed. She feels safe with them and there is something about the man named Kyle that attracts her like a magnet. All she can hope for is that her memory starts to come back.
Kyle is distraught, just when he had the woman of his dreams back in his life everything shatters around him once again. Amber is still there in body but she doesnt remember him and everything that they have been through threw the years.
Together they fight for what they want and what feels right but love never comes easy and fate is a bitch...Once again this couple have one of the most heartbreaking twists to overcome but this time may be the last straw!!!
Can this couple ever catch a break? Will they get their HEA? Will Amber's memory come back? Will she be the same woman she once was?
Sometimes what doesn't kill us makes us stronger!!!
Reviewed for Kylie's Fiction Addiction. 4.5 stars. Remember Me is book 2 in the Oakville Series. If you read book one then you know it ends in a traumatic way so I picked up book two immediately and it didn't disappoint.
Amber and Kyle are married and living their happily ever after until tragedy strikes. Remember Me picks up with Amber awaking in the hospital with no memory, not even the gorgeous man in her room, Kyle. She tries her hardest to recognize him because she can see the pain in his eyes shes causing by not knowing who he is. When Amber is allowed to leave the hospital she wants to go with Kyle. She has no fear of him and deep inside, she knows they have a connection that is so strong. She wants to fall in love with him all over again.
Amber slowly gets her memories back. She has horrible nightmares and constant headaches. (Cant say much more without giving the story away)
Can they get their love back to where it was? Will the past haunt them again? Their love will be tested but do they have a strong enough faith in one another not to let their pasts destroy that?
This book wasn't as sex filled as book one but had so many wonderful elements to it. This book was about heartbreak, tragedy, friendships, loyalty, love and strength. Get your Kleenex handy, parts had me crying!!
My favorite about this book was Ambers friendships, especially with Holly. It is so nice to read about true friendship and being truly there for one another. I hope book 3 has more of Paul and especially Holly.
This picks up right where First Love ended. Amber wakes up in a coma, and everyone is devastated she doesn't remember anything, especially Kyle, who can't believe he's "lost her again".
The book takes us on a rollercoaster of emotions, as we're happy and sad when she interacts with her friends, upset and angry when Leena and Jax come on the scene, and ecstatic when she's with Kyle. The chemistry between them is as HOT as ever and that causes her to start remembering their relationship.
Just when Kyle and Amber feel like everything is working out for them and their happiness has finally arrived, something happens and they're back to fighting insecurities and outside forces trying to destroy them.
Just like the first book, I really enjoyed reading this continuation of the story. Kyle and Amber have such an amazing relationship, despite their pitfalls, and the way they interact with their friends is something to wish everyone had.
There were times when Amber really upset me, and Kyle had his share of "getting me mad moments", but overall, I was very happy with the story and how it unfolded.
I received this book from KFA to give an honest review.
Cliffhangers are not my kind of books. They leave me feeling angsty and anxious, and dying to get to the end. Being that this is the 2nd book in the series, all of your questions are answered, which is exactly what should happen. I'll try not to give spoilers to the first book. I promise.
In this book you fall in love with Amber and Kyle all over again, but there are times that kicking some butt would have made it much better. Kyle needed to be slapped a few times, of course it lead to Amber being vulnerable to a few snarky characters. This book was full of drama. Lordy. But the rest of these characters were awesome. Beasley, Holly, Becky, Chelsie, Angel, C, Marcus, Tatum and of course, Paul. I'm anxious to read their stories.. This group of people are great friends, which made the book that much better.
With everything that happened in this book, it's a wonder how you can have any good things occur, but it can happen. You'll just have to read it and find out how it ends. There are way too many things that happen in this book to even try to explain... But it will be worth it. Promise.
This is the second book in the series and First Love needs to be read first.
When Amber Connor awakes from her coma she has no idea who she is or who anyone else is. Her husband, Kyle, vows to make Amber fall in love with him again.
As Amber begins to remember the past, her and Kyle try to move forward with their future. Yet things still remain uneasy and when one disaster after another strikes the two will they be able to figure things out or will it just be too much for either to handle?
Wow - this book had so much emotion in it with everything that Amber and Kyle faced. Once again their friends and family were so important to the book with helping out whenever they could and strengthened their bonds.
Yet there was still so much sadness in the book and my eyes filled up with tears several times. I felt so bad for the characters and poor Amber and Kyle! This book has so many twists and they can't be spoiled so it's hard to write about what they go through!
I definitely did not see the surprise with Jax although I did know that something was up - just not that!
I am loving this series and can't wait for the next book!
Ok. Get your couch ready for the night, and have a box a Kleenex handy. You will not want to put down this story until it's finished. I went through every emotion possible. I was happy, excited, pissed, ecstatic, cried so much, then angry again and then happy tears. Remember me puts you through it all. Kyle and Amber's story starts off right where it left off. We feel Kyle's pain and anguish as he tries to be with Amber as she slowly regains her memories and life with him. Kathy-Jo nails the dual POV with both of their thoughts as they struggle through everything together. When you think all will be HEA, guess again. I had to finish the next day, which was not good for the makeup!! This book is an emotional journey a one couple struggles with tragedy, life, pregnancy and the awful dread that everyone woman has, what if something goes wrong with my pregnancy. It was heart wrenching to read this journey, but to live it is something else. I thank Kathy-Jo for bringing it to life in an incredible love story between Kyle and Amber who fight through many tragedies.
**Complementary copy provided for an honest review**
Remember Me is a total knock out read! I love this book!! Remember Me is the second book of the Oakville series, continuation of Kyle and Amber's story.. **Note: You must read book 1 First Love to understand the whole story.) Anyway, I was hooked on this book. No dull moments and I was not disappointed on how things went on this book.
After Amber woke up from a coma, both characters will face the challenges that will test their love and trust with each other. An unexpected person will try to break them apart and will get what she or he wanted.
The twist and turns of this book had me crying on some parts and wants to punch the living daylights of some characters. All in all verdict, from book 1 up to 2....? is 5 Paw Marks!!! Ms. Kathy-Jo did an amazing job in making the series and the characters amazing!!
The second installment of this wonderful series picks up right where First Love left off. Amber awakens from her coma without knowing who Kyle is, but still feeling this incredible pull towards him. Kyle will do whatever it takes to make her remember their great love. Once he succeeds life once again throws a tragic curveball, one that may destroy them for good if they can't pull together when they need eachother the most. More danger awaits Amber and once again Kyle feels helpless to save his soulmate. We're left wondering if true love really conquers all until the last page of this wonderful book. * Trigger warning: Very emotional storyline, made it difficult for me to get through. I had to stop reading for a few days to get my emotions incheck before finishing. *Reviewed for Kylie's Fiction Addiction
This is definitely a story illustrating, "If it's meant to be, love will find a way". The author keeps you in suspense with twists and turns throughout. Despite expecting a certain outcome, I was still a little surprised when it did happen.
****************Potential spoiler****************
I felt like the dedication set the book up, I knew what I should expect to come. I also felt like there was some story lacking after she starts getting her memory back. All of a sudden everything is okay and it is not mentioned again.
