For executive, Jeff Kavanaugh, the most horrifying day of his life begins with an eerie premonition. He doesn’t understand the signs, but something is ominously different. His world seems off—out of place, out of order. Weird symbols are dancing in front of his eyes.

Jeff has a gift that he can’t control and he’s been conditioned for most of his young life to avoid embracing it.

But the courage that he is forced to summon that fateful day changes his life forever—and it also begins to change the way in which he views his gift.

His career begins a meteoric rise, faster than his wildest dreams. Jeff’s lifelong wish of entering the inner circles of power and privilege starts to become a reality…but that reality comes with a heavy price tag. It also comes with a stark awareness that the human brain is at once both a fragile and dangerous instrument.

Jeff Kavanaugh is hanging from a roller coaster that’s careening out of control. Can he stop the ride before losing all that’s precious to him? Will his courage and determination be enough to prevent a cunning and diabolical adversary from executing his cruel agenda?

And will Jeff finally see his gift as a true blessing…or as a curse?

Thank you Netgalley. Kinda a weird read for me. More a 2.5 star book.
Plot and pacing moved along well enough that I kept reading to the end.....despite some rather improbable coincidences. Characters were mostly cardboard stereotypes with the exception of their "secret" lives (also improbable).

Overall the melodramatic tone of the book (Jeff, Gaia and Brandon's internal musings) left me yawning. I did appreciate the O Henry twist at the very end.

Great read!! A creative story laced with intelligent characters and a love-to-hate antagonist kept me interested!! Right up until the final page I was guessing what was next. Highly recommend
