Sometimes, the right choices are the most difficult to navigate. For Alexandria, coming to terms with the immortal life she has agreed to embrace, while still holding on to herself, will call on all the internal and physical strength she has. Though her angelic father, Ganymede, intends for her to ease into the new body and life that has been created for her, his Fallen brother, Rangor, has other plans. And Alex has plans for Kronis as well. Plans that call for him to have one last chance to turn away from the life of sin and hate that his father cultivated in him for millennia.
In a bid for peace, and in the hope to keep Alexandria alive, the Nephilim of the Light will have to charge ahead on a quest to find Kronis, before he and his father come for Alex again. And through the great struggles and battles to come, Alex must also decide to whom she will give her heart: Gaius or Jackson. Both so dear and precious to her, yet only one can truly lay claim to her heart as her husband. She will search her very soul to discover the one whom it cries out for, amidst the great danger swirling around all those she loves.
Natalie D. Wilson is a lover of the written word by profession and by heart. Her days are spent encouraging the youngsters, at the elementary school where she serves as a library-media specialist, to become lifelong readers. She and her husband, Will, are Georgia natives and the proud parents of four very precocious and messy rescued parrots. The Immortal Reborn series is Natalie’s first foray into the world of authorship, and the development of an idea which first began with a simple piece of music years ago. It is her hope that you will find the world she envisions as captivating as she has, as she developed and imagined the world of the Nephilim.
As the final book, Choices of the Heart, begins, I almost feel like I’m involved in something very reminiscent of “Lord of the Rings”. Again, while there are definite paranormal elements, I just get the impression as I read that the story placed in more of a very old world when things were different and couldn’t be explained easily. As the others try to plan for Alex to ease into her life as an immortal, she’s faced with the inner turmoil of which man to choose for a husband.
Let me reiterate that this series is not bad – it just wasn’t for me. It was not badly written at all. The details were very good. They were just too plentiful for my taste. If you enjoy a thought-out storyline that contains a little bit of everything, mystery, fantasy, romance, loose paranormal vibes….then this series is for you. Unfortunately when reviewing, books come along that just don’t quite fit into your mold of what you really enjoy reading about. That being said, I give major applause to the author for her drive and determination in bringing her dream to fruition in the form of these three books.
The whole story is really heart warming. Loving the Lord and being willing to give everything you have to him for no other reason than loving him is a very beautiful gift.
I only wish the author would tone down the I love yous, between the two main characters. It was way over the top and was used for filler when more of the theme could have been visited.
As much as I enjoyed the story line in this and the previous two books in this series, overall I am finding the descriptions a little too detailed and repetitive for my liking.
Book was ok. For me it was to much repetition , sleep, eat, constantly talk of their love. Didn't care for parts of this book because of the repetition.
I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Alexandria has finally become immortal and embraced her Nephilim side. This book follows Alexandria and the immortals/Nephilim as they race to find and destroy the Fallen Angel, Rangor. Alexandria must learn to control the gifts the Lord gave her. She has decided to live fully as an immortal, giving up the job and life she was building for herself in New York. Alexandria and the other immortals travel to New York to pack up her apartment and investigate a book store they suspect is run by the fallen. They’ve discovered that the fallen are running three bookstores in New York, London, and Scotland. The immortals rush to each bookstore hoping to take Rangor unawares. However, Rangor has other plans and forces Alexandria to face him in the same church that Arianna perished in. Ultimately, the choice is Rangor’s, to either accept the light the Lord is offering or to perish forever. Alexandria has also decided who she will give her heart to in marriage. ***spoiler alert*** She has decided to marry Gaius and continue the life they once had. They plan to marry immediately after Rangor is destroyed.
I enjoyed this book of the Immortal Reborn series more than book two. It was much less repetitive. I loved the relationship Alexandria and Gaius shared and the loyalty they felt for each other. I enjoyed the interaction between Alexandria and immortals she hadn’t had the opportunity to meet in the previous books. I admired the strength Alexandria showed when fighting the fallen. I was sad that Kronis died to save Alexandria, but I was glad he embraced the light and was no longer suffering. I would love to read more about the characters in this series. It would be fun to follow Jack, Iain, Sabina , and the other Nephilim’s lives to learn more about them and where their lives lead them.
This is book three in the immortal reborn series. For Alexandria coming to accept the immortal life she has chosen while still trying to hold onto herself, will call on all her internal and physical strength. Graymende her angelic father intends for her to ease into her new body and life he created for her. But his fallen brother Rangor has other plans. Alex also has plans for Kronis. Plans that call for him to have one last chance to turn away from a life of sin and hate that his father cultivated in him for millennia. In a bid for peace and to keep Alexandria alive, the nephilim of the light will have to find Kronis before he and his father come for Alexandria again. During the great struggles and battles to come Alex must decide to whom she will give her heart. Gaius or Jackson both are dear and precious to her yet only one can lay claim to her heart and be her husband. Fantastic series. I look forward to reading more books by Natalie Wilson
I love this series. Alexandria has made her choice between Gaius and Jackson; now she must fight that smelly demon Rangor. This story is full of action, but there is also a love story within the pages of this book. It is a beautiful love story, not just between man and woman, but between God and His creation.
