A little outdated, but good practical advice and how-to guide for new principals. Liked the activities, checklists, and reflection questions Will be using this text for the "fieldwork" portion of USC's School Leadership Academy (Preliminary Administrative Credential) as well as will be sprinkling the readings across the courses. Wish there was a little more on practical advice for budget, legal issues, and facilities - that is so often overlooked in new principal programs/courses/texts.
