Sitting there in my bed, I concentrated, thinking of my parents, and moved my fingers through the air. The space in front of me sizzled and a glowing line appeared. Carefully, I used my fingers to slowly peel the edges back. As the hole got larger, I peered through its glowing edges, and watched as my parents came into focus.

“We have to protect her, Jonathan. Hecate’s spells won’t work forever, and we don’t know if she will even have powers and if she does what they will be. If we can’t find it or if he finds it first… or if he finds her—” I put my hand over my mouth as her voice broke, and she began to cry.

My father quickly stood from the table taking her hand. She stood and began to protest, but my father brushed away a tear as it rolled down her cheek, pulled her into him and kissed her. I watched as her wings went limp against her back, and her feet dangled as he lifted her off the floor. When I think back to this day, I’m still convinced their love is still something most people could only wish for.

My name is Diana Chambers. I am the daughter of Megaera and Jonathan, and the granddaughter of Nyx, Goddess of Night. I am part God, part Titan, and the first Dreamweaver born in over a thousand years.
