The grape farm is set in New Orleans and in upstate New York and intertwines the lives of a black jazz singer in New Orleans with a grape farmer in New York state.

The book is an easy read and has several mysteries throughout it, which keeps you turning the page is to find out what will happen.

For me, there were far too many characters and I had a difficult time keeping track of them, but this might be because I had read the previous two books sometime ago and had forgotten some of the people involved in this trilogy
