An emotional feel-good journey that paves the way for love's return.
In the heart of Thunder Mountain, Wyoming, Reva Nygard stands as the town's beacon—a mayor and attorney renowned for her unwavering generosity and wisdom. Yet, beneath her celebrated exterior lies a hidden yearning that even her closest girlfriends have never glimpsed . . . the longing for a family to call her own.
When fate intervenes leaving a toddler orphaned, Reva is propelled into a role she never anticipated. As Reva opens her home, she also opens her heart to new challenges and possibilities, including a burgeoning romance with an auto repairman, whose straightforward nature challenges her to confront the authenticity of her carefully curated life.
“Echoes of the Heart” is an ode to the strength found in vulnerability, the beauty of second chances, and the unspoken bonds that tie us to the places our hearts call home.

Echoes of the Heart by Kellie Coates Gilbert is the second book of the Teton Mountain Series. Where We Belong was book one and is responsible for getting me hooked on yet another great series. I’ve been wondering why in the last few years I have been so drawn to these wonderful little series. I think I know why and I will explain as I tell you about Echoes of the Heart.
First of all those of you that know me already know I truly love stories that take place in small towns. The people there are closer and seem to care more about you and what is going on in their town. It seems in big cities you just blend in and fade away.
I think a series also allows me to get to know the characters more. This series is about a close group of four lifelong women friends. The first book was about Charlie Grace and this one is about Reva Nygard. It is her time and it is about time! She has always wanted a family and to stay with her friends in Thunder Mountain. She is a lawyer and a strong woman. I like how the characters are mostly the same in each book but with a different main character that you have come to know a bit in the previous books.
I have a hard time saying goodbye to these newfound friends when the series comes to an end because I’ve come to know them so well and it is hard to know you will never hear new things from them again. At least not for me as I don’t usually re-read books. I feel there are too many good books in the world to waste my time on the same book twice. Just think of all the lovely books I’ll never get to read.
If you love getting involved with characters over a period of time and getting to know them well, then this is a series of books for you. These are wholesome books that deal with subjects we all deal with. I love to get embroiled in situations that are not my own and see where they go, how they get there and how they end up. If you like doing that then these series that I’ve grown to love reading might just be up your alley. Until next time…Happy Reading!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author/publisher. The opinions I have expressed are completely my own and I was not required to write a review. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255.
Kellie Coates Gilbert has once again taken me “home” to a place I’ve never been before. In this second book of her Teton Mountain Series, I felt surrounded by friends who really care about each other. One of those friends is Reva Nygard, who is surprised to find herself fostering a young child who has lost both his parents in an automobile accident. Little does she know just how quickly this boy will claim a huge chunk of her heart.
With the support of her friends, Reva finds that she is indeed able to handle the responsibilities of both her professional and private life….and just maybe find the sparks of a new romance.
I love the way the author is able to unwrap the layers of her characters and bring each one to life. The beauty of the mountain setting is visible in my mind. This reader loves the celebration of friendships and support Reva receives from those around her. Of course, I also fell head over heels in love with the child and wanted him to remain with Reva.
If you enjoy tales of love and friendship, then this book is perfect for you. It is the second in the series, and although the first gives you more background information, Echoes of the Heart can be read as a standalone.
Many thanks go to Ms. Gilbert for providing me with an advance copy of this beautiful story with no promise made or requested of a positive review. However, I was mesmerized by her story and can highly recommend it. Any opinion here is strictly my own.
I have been reading books by Kellie Coates Gilbert for quite a while now. I always enjoy them and am challenged by the great characters and their realistic interactions. This book is number 2 in the Teton Mountain series. I had read number 1 and number 3 without number 2 and I am so very glad I was able to get THAT straightened out! My goodness, what a rich story I would have missed if I hadn’t added this one to the series.
The characters are 4 very good friends, who grew up together. To say that they stand with each other in good times and bad times would just be scratching the surface. I have 3 very good girlfriends like this and I don’t know what I would have done without them in my life. This story centers on Reva, who although she is the mayor of the town and has so much in her life “together”, a car accident she happens upon will change her life forever. I will not try to duplicate in anyway, the wonderful and deep, heart-felt stirrings Reva experienced as written by Kellie Coates Gilbert but it touched me very deeply. I will not be giving any spoilers here, but life has a way of throwing a curve to us we didn’t know we needed and then it is wrapped up in things beyond what we could imagine.
These friends throughout the series are there for each other, they are fun, they are imaginative in the way they support and care for each other. Laughs and fun along with a town full of characters I could surely identify and enjoy. What is a town without its characters?
I gave this book 5 stars and I cannot wait for the next book to be released. I will be there!
Echoes of the Heart by Kellie Coates Gilbert is the second book of the Teton Mountain Series. This can be read alone as I did not read the first book in the series but will now go and read it. I just love this book filled with family, close friends who really are family and just makes you feel like part of the special bonds. In this series, Reva, who is also the Mayor of Teton Mountain and a lawyer was called to a horrific traffic accident where the only person that survived was a little boy. Reva immediately said she would care for him until family could be found. Reva came to love this little boy as her own. Reva also meets a man while trying to change a flat tire and a mama bear and cubs show up. Reva locks herself in the car with the baby, who is hungry and crying when Kellen shows up and scares off the bears and helps her change her tire. Talk about love at first site. Will Reva find a happy life and be able to keep Lucan has her own? Such an enjoyable story. I can't wait to read the others in the series.
The author, Kellie Coates Gilbert brings us back to her Teton Mountain series this time by telling us the standalone story of Reva Nygard, an ambitious lawyer and mayor of the town. She is also fiercely dedicated to the townspeople and her three former high school friends. What she is not, is married or a mother. Now in her early forties, Reva wonders if part of her dreams of having a family has passed her by. The author delights her readers with the wisdom and charm of Reva’s friends and Reva herself, as she unexpectedly finds her life turned upside down when she finds not one, but two males entering her life. I confess I teared up in this sweet story of friendship, love and happiness. Thank you to the author for an early copy. The comments and review are my honest opinion.
Kellie Coates Gilbert weaves the tale of Reva Nygard and her three best friends who support her, drop everything to come to her rescue, and love her through it all in the second book of the Teton Mountain series.
Reva has survived a broken heart and moved on with her life and is a well respected Mayor of Thunder Mountain. She believes she is living her dream life until a part of her is awakened by two different surprise encounters and circumstances. Both bring the story to life and open her eyes to love, friendship, and the meaning of life, as it will also do the same for the reader. This is such an easy read, and you will not want to put it down.
Thank you, Kellie Coates Gilbert , for the advance copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
Echoes of the Heart, the second book in Kellie Coates Gilbert’s Teton Mountain series did not disappoint. I had been eagerly awaiting Reva’s story after having read Charlie Grace’s story in Where We Belong. I love how Kellie brings her characters to life and really makes you care about them. This book really pulls on your heartstrings as Reva gets a chance at love through some unforeseen circumstances. And now I wait for the next book in the series to hear about Lila’s story. I would definitely recommend. Thank you to Kellie Coates Gilbert and the publisher, Amnos Media Group for a chance to read and review an ARC.
Reva Nygard, an attorney and mayor of Thunder Mountain, Wyoming, finds herself the temporary foster mother of an orphaned boy. Caring for the child awakens a desire for Reva to become a mother and the longer she cares for the young boy, the stronger those feelings grow. With the help of her closest friends, other members of the town, and a new romantic interest, Reva sets out to make this desire come true.
A heartwarming story of friendship, challenges, dreams coming true, new beginnings, and more!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
What a great book! The second book of the Teton Mountain series focuses on Reva, one of the four women who have been friends since they were in school. Reva is a lawyer and also mayor of Thunder Mountain, dedicated to her practice and the residents of the town. She doesn’t feel quite fulfilled because she wants a husband and children and wonders if that will ever happen to her. This book is filled with lots of sweetness, love, friendship and some tearful moments. I am anxiously waiting for the next book in the series. Thanks to KCG for the advance copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
A great addition to the Teton Mountain series. What a special friendship Reva, Capri, Charli Grace, and Lila have, supporting each other in the good times and bad. Friendship and support are key themes, making the reader feel like they are part of the community
In this story Reva, busy as the town mayor comes upon a wreck with casualties. She is determined to help the survivor and opens her heart. Faced with a bear when she is trying to change a flat, mechanic Kellen comes to the rescue
Will she find love? Can she fulfill a life dream. Meanwhile Charli Grace’s ex becomes a father again and Lila deals with a teenager.
Thank you to the author for this ARC. This review is my honest opinion
Kellie Coates Gilbert has written another beautiful story in this series that is definitely a tear jerker. Book #2 centers around Reva, who is an attorney, a sincere yet determined woman, and the mayor of Thunder Mountain. A horrible auto accident occurs outside of town, and when Reva arrives at the scene, she discovers that a toddler is the only survivor of one of the vehicles in the accident. As she takes on this new responsibility of fostering this little boy, she also realizes her ‘perfect’ world is changing dramatically. Reva also meets a man, who happens to be an auto mechanic, and whose straightforward manner takes her off guard. As romance begins to grow between them, she starts to realize new possibilities, a real honest second chance at love. Her secret longing for a family of her own, which has always seemed to be out of reach, may have finally arrived on her door step. I highly recommend reading this book and hope you will like it as much as I did.
Beautiful story of letting yourself trust God and doing what is right! Love Reva’s story and can’t wait for more! Each one of these stories tells of long lasting friendship and how community comes and helps and the beauty of finding love again. The importance of doing the right thing for child and taking a chance, is immensely valuable and important. Kelli you wove a beautiful story, thankyou !
Echoes of the Heart the second book in the Teton Mountain series, is a must read! Reva a middle-aged single woman who seems to have it all career, beautiful home and fabulous friends. But she longs for a child. Kellie Coates Gilbert did her homework on this book. She portrayed a heartwarming story of fostering, adoption and life’s challenges and complications.
I love these ladies. I wish I had a great group of friends like this. There are lots of stories to follow in this series and I cannot wait for more. I laughed and I cried during this one. I hate waiting for the next book.

Reva is the mayor of Thunder Mountain and keeps her friends and town members close to her heart. She is constantly busy helping someone but secretly longs for a child of her own. A tragic accident brings her a sweet little boy temporarily, but Reva falls deeply in love with this child. When they find Lucan's grandfather in jail, Reva's heart is broken when Lucan leaves her. Kellan, the man she is seeing comes with a heartwarming solution. This is a beautiful story with strong characters. I was given an advanced reader copy and highly recommend this book.
Fantastic 2nd book in this series. I really like Reva! The addition of Lucien to her life changes everything. She is open to new possibilities and I can’t wait to see where she goes with Kellen.
