I think this book is fantastic, coupled with the YouTube Bush Bee Man I feel much more equipped to embark on my bee keeping foray. It's clear, concise, easy and in fact a joy to read. It's informative and you can dip in and out. For anyone thinking of starting with bees, I can't recommend this and the Bush Bee Man enough!
Excellent instructional book for beekeeping - covered the whole beekeeping lifecycle and had details for both beginner and more advanced beekeepers. Very readable and well designed for use as reference.
I've read quite a few general beekeeping books and thiamine was by far the easiest read and had clear checklists and items I'll be able to use immediately. Hopefully others will find it and be Hiawatha happy as I was after reading.
Great guide to get you started with beekeeping. It's well organised and covers everything a beginner would need to know to keep their hive healthy and productive. I liked the FAQ towards the end that basically recaps and helps to quickly troubleshoot common problems in the hive. Also included information on other products from the hive; propolis, beeswax, and royal jelly.
I really enjoyed this book. Super interesting and informative, while not having too much super specific information. I wish they’d touched a little on Colony Collapse Disorder, especially because that’s getting to be a bigger issue.
Always good to add a little nonfiction to my reading 😊
