The staff of Burkin Logistics is trapped. On a sunny California day in July, something is wrong in the town of Stockton. A black cloud has taken over the sky in the form of an infectious disease that will turn the inhabitants of this coastal town into the walking dead. Read the story straight from those who are infected. Live the terror of slowly losing your mind to a hunger that cannot be satisfied by anything but human flesh.
Good, but not great. I liked the way the story is told, one person at a time. We get to read the journal entries of each individual, and see how they cover the same time period and events from a different point of view.
Day One is a decent zombie tale that doesn't really add much to the genre. It's a good quick read that has it's moments and is well written but it's not very scary or suspenseful. But I will be looking out for Day Two. It was good enough for me to want to read another book in the series.
