Exactly the sort of book I'd hoped it would be. Reminded me of those D&D novels I read back in college. Well paced, interesting characters, and an ending that makes you want to read more. I'll continue to read these from time to time when I want something light.

Clunky plotting and far too reliant on producing random heroes and monsters to get the main character out of a scrape.

Ditto with this book, you really can't tell that it's the 2nd book in a series..very upsetting =/ Was looking forward to reading it.
