CIA operative Titus Ray is supposed to be enjoying his time off after a grueling mission. His division head specifically told him to go home and have a good time with his family.
But then, in the middle of his daughter’s birthday party, when he receives disturbing news about an imminent threat to America’s heartland, he postpones having a good time with his family and agrees to lead a joint FBI/CIA operation to the southern border. How could he do otherwise?
He couldn’t have a good time when . . .
A group of terrorists have access to a new bioweapon . . . The CIA has specific intel about an imminent biological attack on America’s heartland to be carried out by a group of terrorists already in the country. Unfortunately, the group entered the country illegally, and their location is unknown.
A notorious terrorist leader is heading for the Texas border . . . When the leader of a Hezbollah-trained terrorist group arrives in Caracas, Venezuela, and joins a caravan of migrants making their way across Central America to a border crossing in Texas, the CIA believes the man’s intentions are to meet up with the other terrorist leaders to plan the final stages of the attack.
An opportunity to prevent a mass casualty event is available . . . Titus agrees to do the unthinkable and make sure the terrorist leader is allowed to cross the border unhindered, so he and his operational team can follow him to his destination and prevent the attack. Even though Titus believes his training and skills are up to the task, ultimately, he has to rely on his faith, his prayers, and God’s guidance when the mission reaches a critical stage and his very survival is at stake.
Is Titus up to the challenge of working with a slightly unhinged operative from his past?
Can he bring together a team of misfits who have trouble getting along with each other?

Luana Ehrlich is a USA Today bestselling author, known for her award-winning Titus Ray Thrillers, Mylas Grey Mysteries, and Silas McKay Suspense. Her novels are clean reads with intriguing plots, fascinating characters, jaw-dropping twists, and occasional touches of humor and heart-warming romance.
Although she developed her passion for spy thrillers and mystery novels at an early age, she didn’t write her first novel until her husband retired from the ministry. Now, she writes from an undisclosed location, trying to avoid the torture of mundane housework, grocery shopping, and golf stories. However, she occasionally comes out of hiding to visit with her two grandsons or to enjoy a Starbucks caramel macchiato.
Luana and her husband, former missionaries to Costa Rica and Venezuela, are now residents of Norman, Oklahoma. Email her at author@luanaehrlich.com. She loves to hear from her readers!!
I'm captivated by this author's books! Her intelligent writing style is consistently engaging. This particular book delves into the life of a CIA operative, offering insights into the situation at the Mexican border. It's an enlightening read and a superb example of Christian fiction.
While this was a fast paced. Interesting story, I did not like the way they changed up the references to the main characters continually. One person referred to the others by their first names while the other people referred to them by their last names and it took me a good share of the book to not be put off by that.
A joint operation keeps Titus on US soil for this mission.
Trying to learn about, develop, and deepen your Christian faith can be a difficult journey for any of us, but imagine balancing that with your demanding career as a CIA operative. This is another engaging peek at the development of Titus Ray's Christian commitment. Luana Ehrlich continues to spin Titus Ray's story, as he moves from hosting his daughter's horse-themed 9th birthday party in the heartland of America to directing a team of undercover operatives in thwarting the threat of a terrorist cell's chemical attack with massive national consequences and back. Whew! All of the characters are complex. But it's Titus' internal dialogue that sets this series apart. As he is forced by his job to constantly evaluate situations and people and stay alert to any changes, his awareness of other people's motivations is eye-opening to the reader, allowing us to also learn right along with him. We delve into the workings that human beings hold just beneath the surface. Titus continues to develop his compassionate side and model how that can manifest in the real world. Presented in a straightforward and deceptively simple way, each page holds tantalizing revelations and truths just waiting to burst forth. It's so exciting.
One Good Time is a great thriller involving a joint FBI/CIA operation as they follow some terrorists in order to stop them from causing an attack. Some of the characters were out of their element when being around Titus and Nikki's precocious daughter while others felt comfortable being around kids. Along with some ups and downs and tensions as it is a joint operation, there are also unexpected surprises, trouble, and danger. Great read.
I'm always happy when there's a new Titus Ray book to read! Ehrlich has pulled off another good one - I'm always amazed at the plots she comes up with, which seem like reading today's news. I really enjoy all the interactions between the various characters, and Titus' dry sense of humor leaves me chuckling over and over.
Luana Ehrlich is one of my favourite authors. Her books are full of intrigue and keep you on the edge of your seat. Each book can be read on it’s own and you don’t feel you started in the middle of a series but truthfully……. I recommend you read the, all!!! Just love them!
I enjoy reading the Titus Ray series and look forward to the next episode. I pray we are never faced with the events described in the book—but if we are, I pray we have the same outcome guided by the men and women God places in authority. Thank you for good, exciting, and non-stop reading adventures, Luana Ehrlich.
The problem with open borders is a VERY REAL PROBLEM which puts our country at risk. Don’t believe anybody that says we don’t have OPEN BORDERS.
Someone very dear to me is in the Organized Crime Division in Texas and sees all that Luana described, in real life. He puts his life in danger every day. I put him in the Lord’s hands years ago—but sometimes it’s hard not to worry.
The human trafficking, Child Pornography and the drugs brought in—not to mention the trafficking!
A friend of mine, whose son was truly a good kid, died on 1 Fentanyl pill!
as always, the author does a superb job of giving us all the details oh the assignment.
Told completely from Titus’ viewpoint, there is never a lack of respect from him, as he shares his viewpoint on the other team members he works with. This establishes a connection between the reader and the afore mentioned team member. We are ‘in the know’ of their strengths and weaknesses’, and their relationship with Titus. This knowledge is important to understanding the impacts that could be either critical or harmless to an assignment. Anxiously awaiting my chance to read next book in Titus’ adventures.
Thriller for sure‼️ This story takes place in Oklahoma. It takes a while to get here, from Iran to Venezuela and up to an illegal border crossing at Texas. It’s about weapons of mass destruction right here in Oklahoma. Titus and his crew join forces with FBI and OSBI to end this reign of terror. Once again I know these stories are fiction but I know there are similar stories being played out around the world. I want to thank all of you heroes for doing your job to keep America safe.
CIA agents Titus Ray and Ben Mitchell are part of a sensitive joint FBI/CIA operation to find a stop a group of terrorists who apparently have plans to release the anthrax virus in the US. The operation is a stressful one, taking its toll on the agents involved, and Titus tries to encourage his fellow operatives along the way. He also has to deal with baggage from his past, since he'd had a bad experience with one of those operatives years before. (There's some irony in the book's title.) This is another suspenseful entry in the series.
Threats Against America This is the tenth book of the Titus Ray thriller series. This episode has the good guys battling the bad guys who pose a significant threat on American soil. The underlying story is accepting and forgiving the flaws in others while we see and work on the flaws in ourselves. The story is exciting and scary as it is very plausible. I always enjoy reading this series and all of this author's work.
How can Titus have a good time at home when there is supposed danger a short way away from his hometown? Titus can't ignore this threat because it could affect his wife and daughter. I enjoyed this next book very much. It's fun to hear the voices of his friends as they work together to neutralize the threat. Mr. Newman is a favorite narrator. I am amazed he keeps the same voice inflection for all the characters. I was given a copy of this story. This is my voluntary opinion.
I really loved this book. It was so thrilling to listen to the audiobook. It was excellent of course, I really enjoy the narrator so much, he does an excellent job of bringing the story to life. I really enjoy the Titus Ray character so much, and the other characters in the story are great too. I hope it is not too long to wait for the next story with Titus Ray! A wonderful Christian and clean story.
One Good Time is the 10th book in the Titus Ray Thriller series. Titus and Ben take part in a joint operation with the FBI. Titus is forced to work with Nate Lynch, a CIA operative he has had a bad experience with. It is good to see Titus work through his issues with Lynch so they are able to work together. I particularly enjoy the faith journey Titus is in as a result of his working through his issues with Lynch.
I've read a number of books by Luana Enrich and have never been disappointed. She does her research, she knows and uses the English language well, and has no glaring editing issues. I appreciate her attention to detail, and I appreciate her faith driven characters. Even if you aren't a believer, you will not be offended. One Good Time can be read as a stand alone; there's enough back story without repetition. Terrorists. CIA. Family. Relationships.
Luana Ehrlich is an amazing author and this book does not disappoint! I especially liked the thoughtful approach to the conflict between Titus and Nate and how it changed as the story progressed. There were some very good lessons taught which left me lingering in a pretty interesting thought process.
I enjoy reading about the continuing adventures of Titus Ray. And this adventures was not disappointing. I thoroughly enjoyed the suspense that always comes with Titus' adventures. I recommend this book for anyone who enjoys suspense and espionage.
I love all of Luana's books, all series, but this one is my favorite so far! I love the interaction between the characters- both new and returning. The story is fresh and the action is well written!
Great storyline and characters. Subject matter is too close to reality for comfort though. Our borders are not guarded even this closely, so what could that mean? Back to my life statement that gives me comfort though ….. God’s got this!!!
Never disappointed with Luana's books. Story moves quickly but leaves time to get to know the characters without getting bogged down in too many descriptive words. I love the dialogs. I have read the whole series and looking forward to another one!
Seriously, never have I ever not loved a Luana Ehrlich book. Start at the very beginning and read them ALL... Begin with your Titus Ray Thrillers. Read the "Ben books" where they belong in order with Titus and his missions. You will fall in love with this spy and his family.
All of the Titus Ray series have been good, but this one seemed to have more moving parts, and personalities. And, they were all needed to wrap up another successful mission - plus give Titus some family time. Enjoyed.
I’m not sure many people had a good time in this book except for the birthday party. This was interesting as the setting wasn’t what most of the other books were. I can’t say more about it without giving things away. But it was rather eye opening in some aspects.
I’m thankful for the authors out there that can write a good book without all the trash. (This is for the one more word that is required to satisfy Amazon)
Luana knows how to weave intrigue and the Gospel of Jesus Christ into her novels. I like her shuttle remarks and humor. I am always glad to get her next book!
