The protagonist in this book is annoying. The way she looks down her down at her cousin makes me sad. Her obsession with her cousin wearing wigs or weaves is very strange. The obsession with black women’s hair is tired.

She forced her cousin into committing a felony yet constantly wanted to look down on her like she was better than her.

The cousin would have gotten caught on camera at a major department store on camera using the credit card plus she went to more than once place and used it.

Now tampering with a crime scene by moving a dead body, and the murder weapon are felonies. Since the police know Marcus was killed in her restaurant and killed said she dropped it the police are going to be looking for the murder weapon. Secondly since Marcus was murdered they would have done an autopsy and the ME would have been able to tell them that by his head wound he would not have been able to get up and walk away.

I see what the author was trying to do but it doesn’t seem like the research was done.
