Historical intrigue at its best.

I love the history in these novels, and the way Tom becomes embroiled in investigating deaths, but Nick Skeres is still my favourite character. This series continues to intrigue and entertain.

1586. Tom Walsingham has even instructed by his cousin Sir Francis to oversee a group of spies, ready to implicate Mary Queen of Scots in treason. Meanwhile one of his couriers has gone missing.

enjoyed the book

I found the characters and the history interesting but I did find that I was confused quite often. Would certainly read more of the series.
