Within the pages of this book, you'll find a stand-alone romance story with elements of humor and spice, wrapped up with a happy ending.
Bree creates Contemporary Romance stories full of heart, heat, humor, and happily-ever-afters. She brings into being heroines who are strong, smart, and sassy and heroes who are swoon-worthy alphas.
When Bree is not working on a book, she loves to hang with her dog, Charlie—a playful and vocal Australian Shepherd. She also cherishes mornings on the screened porch with a cup of coffee. And she's mad for any excuse that brings a margarita with a side of chips and salsa her way!
Bree is adventurous, well-traveled, and has lived in many places—in the US and abroad. So, it’s no surprise that some tidbit of her experience gets added to a lot of imagination when she creates her stories.
She resists having her picture taken and can be a little shy when talking about herself. Plus, she shuns social media. But you can learn more about her, upcoming releases, and other news on her website. www.BreeMcFeeRomance.com
This book was fantastic and soooo much fun to read. I loved the fighting (which was kinda like their own way of flirting, and boy was there a fine line between love and hate), the characters were amazing (even the brother was a great part to this story), they all had some backstory that was told and it was well written. So you almost die from someone coming into your apartment and what do you do next, buy an island and live all by yourself. Or at least that is the plan Marissa, but her brother doesn't like this plan and is worried about her so he asks his friend for a huge favor. Finn is a retired cop and boy do these two have a love-to-hate relationship, he is ok with going to the island to help and boy was he in for a treat..... There is sooo much confusion, mixed emotions and a great adventure that this book takes you on. oh and sooo many laugh out loud moments, its perfect. Its a easy read, that I didn't want to put down so i didn't. I read the thing in a night bc I just had to see what was gonna happen next and between these two. And i forgot to add that there is a kinda mystery type vibe that is happening on this island as well, and it is an outcome that is not really too predictable which made it even better.
Fun book that you need to read. I am glad to have the opportunity to read this book, thanks to the publisher and NetGalley. The above is my own, honest review and it was also voluntary.
There's a fine line between love and hate. This fast-paced enemies-to-lovers, close proximity spicy romance will drive home just how thin that line is! This is a short story or novella so obviously things have to move at a faster pace than normal to get a conclusion within the confines of the pages offered in this story, but the author does a great job of weaving a realistic plot that has you giggling and sniffling while on the edge of your seat for the short amount of time you are turning pages to see what happens next. The author does a great job of creating a beginning, middle and end in a short number of pages so that all the storylines get a conclusion and nothing is left open-ended. The spice is nice, but the sparring between the main characters is also great entertainment. Overall great read and I can't wait to read more from this author!
Thank you Netgalley and author Bree McFee for the e-copy of this book in exchange for a review.
