This is Whisenhunt's best work thus far, well crafted, and articulate. I laughed out loud at "A Grasshopper Rode My Passenger Side Mirror from..." But there is serious work here too. I loved "Knee Deep in October" (though personally I hate the month). I enjoyed "Disillusionment of 10:30" and of course "Just Before the Rainout". This volume of poetry is one that should not be missed.
