I am really enjoying this series so far and was excited when I saw this book on Booksprout. I got it and started reading shortly after. I really enjoyed Dating a Sun God, this one follows elf Hannah and sun god Ra as they meet through the Jinx dating app. It was fun to see these two meet through the dating app. I really liked these two together and it was a fun read.

I liked both Hannah and RA. Hannah is a hardworking lawyer who doesn't have time or motivation to date, when she needs a date for her cousins wedding to ward off questions from family she decides to look for a fake date. Ra needs a date for a cruise he won at an auction and decides a fake date will work as well. Ofcourse their fake dating leads to real feelings and it was fun to read about these two and see them fall in love.

I don't usually like the fake dating trope, but I actually liked how it was handled here. The reason they get together is a fake dating, but most of their connecting is clearly real and it it's clear they aren't pretending those moments. Their first kiss is because they want to, not to sell their ruse to an audience. There is a moment were I wished they actually talked to each other, but luckily it doesn't drag on and gets resolved quite quickly.

I really liked the dynamic between these two. The way they started talking and were interested in getting to know each other was fun. I liked how they went into the fake dating both agreeing to it and how it's the thing that brings them together. It is fun seeing them fall in love as they spend time together. I thought they made for a great couple and they were sweet together. I also thought the steamy scene between them was well written and felt realistic. My only complaint is that the ending felt a bit abrupt and I would've liked an epilogue.

I also liked seeing some of the characters from previous books as well as some characters that will play a role in future books. I liked how Ra and Min are friends, so we got to see them interact together from Ra's perspective this time. It also was fun to read about Hannah and her best friend, the note at the end says Hannah's friend will get her own romance in a later book.

To summarize: I really like this series so far and I had a lot of fun reading this book. I liked both Hannah and Ra and them together. I liked how the fake dating trope was handled here with the fake dating bringing them together, but their connection was clearly real and a lot of them growing closer scenes were when they were just the two of them and not performing their ruse. They were great together and I thought the steamy scene between them was well written. The ending felt a bit abrupt and I would've liked an epilogue. I look forward to the next book in the series.

I like finding these little gems. A quick read that was full of banter and sweetness. I found myself laughing through all the "dating" mishaps, right along with the main characters. Ra and Hannah's meet-cute is what the judge orders when you need a change.

The Jinx Paranormal Dating Agency pairs Gods and other mythical creatures together. This is definitely a sweet and steamy read. It also ended with HEA.

A fun, light book easy to read. Since i love the ancient Egypt and everything related to it, i really wanted to read this one.
And because of Ra, he is my favorite god. It was funny to see the great Ra head of a company and trying dating apps. The story of Hannah & Ra it's funny, lovely, developing not to fast, not to slow, it's just flows down the Nile.

Characters from other books in the series make appearances but each story can stand alone.

Ra won a cruise on a Jinx ship and really doesn't want to go. It includes a plus one and he no plus one. So his friend talks him into using the app. That is where the app matches him with Hannah. There is something about her....they hook up with her telling him that she just wants a fake for her cousin's wedding, he wants a plus one for a cruise. She says they need to sign a contract..he goes along. Neither wants anything permanent but destiny can be a handful and their lives are about to get a kick in the behind! How will they handle it? Will they get off their high horses and actually try to be something together?
A cute story of two career driven people who try to handle relationships in a weird way.

I have read the precious books in this series and have been waiting for Ra's book. It did not disappoint! To me he has seemed like a bit of a stick in the mud, bit off for a Sun God. Yet, I gathered he hardly had a sunny disposition. When cornered, he agreed to a fake date exchange to deal with an auction item he purchased previously. The negotiations with lawyer Hanna (the female lead) were hilarious. She had her own reasons for needing a fake arrangement so they fit. So they thought.😆🤣

Will these two smooth talkers fake there was right through a perfect opportunity? There are so many laugh-out-loud moments in this book my cheeks were hurting by the time I finished reading. Ra actually has a sense of humor, once you unbury it. Hanna's family gave me the giggles while they simultaneously appalled me. There is so much I want to say about this book, but I wont spoil it for any of you. I definately encourage you to check this book out (the rest of the series is great to, but so far this is my favorite).

When Fake Feels Real . . .

This is one of those situations where the characters need to find a date quickly. Ra, an Egyptian sun god, tried to pretend that he didn’t need a matchmaker to find him a date for a cruise he was going on, especially Cupid, pretending he already had a date set up… which was not true. And Hannah, an elf whose career keeps her too busy for dating, now needs to find a date for a wedding and as a way to stop her parents from constantly nagging her about settling down. A dating app for paranormals just may be the solution they each need since this is only a temporary situation they need to deal with and not a “real” relationship for either of them. They can help each other out. But love will find a way if it’s meant to be. Will they panic at the feelings that start to feel a bit too “real” when they are together? Or will they try to give their new relationship a chance and see if there is a HEA for them?

Cute story line and well-written by this clever author. You won’t want to miss this one!

***Mildly spicy & not suitable for young readers***

Fake Dating Ra takes place basically where the second book of the series leaves off although it does work as a standalone if you are reading the books out of order (so far the only book that should be read in order is the first book).

In this story, a no-fun entertainment attorney elf is avoiding the judgmental scolding of her family by hooking up with a workaholic solar god who needs a date for an unintentional auction win. With a clearly just fuctional contractual agreement, shenanigans ensue as they find out sometimes love doesn't listen to law records.

Due to the two events being covered in the same book, there is some repetition and not a lot of actual relationship building. The ending is clear as day but it takes a few nudges just to wrap up without leaving much nods to the next book in the series.

Both of them were looking for a fake relationship, but if you repeat the lie often enough, it becomes the truth. Now they are both trying to figure out if they should fight the attraction or give in to it.

This is book three of the series, but it is written as a standalone.

The story is a paranormal romance with a dating agency as the driver. The story is well written and easy to read with a couple of fun characters as our leads. I rather enjoyed mixing the mythologies together and exploring the results. And the charming HEA doesn't hurt one bit. Overall, this story was rather light and entertaining, which was perfect for a relaxing read. I look forward to visiting again in the future.

What a fun story!

I have to admit, it’s been a while since I’ve read a book by Laura Greenwood, which is a really sad thing on my part because I truly do enjoy everything she writes and Fake Dating Ra is no exception to that. It’s a short, fun story about an uptight entertainment elf attorney trying to find a fake date for her cousin’s wedding, along with Ra, who is also looking for a fake date to take a cruise with so his best friend will stop bugging him. Watching these two come together trying to follow the terms of the contract Hannah made them both magically sign is both funny and emotional. I highly recommend anything written by this author for a fun, entertaining read complete with heartfelt sigh at the end.

Hannah is not looking forward to her cousins wedding because without a date she will never stop hearing it’s time to settle down. Ra has friends who want to set him up but he’s not interested in long term. Unfortunately his competitive nature led him to a free cruise which requires a plus one.
Hannah’s friend talks her into finding someone in the Jinx dating app and figured since she’s a lawyer she can just draw up a contract. The app is what lead them to one another so they both have a fake date.
I don’t want to give anything away but it’s a great adding to the Paranormal Dating Agency series- I cannot wait to she what’s in store for the others.

Swipe right for a fake date

A sweet romance mixing gods and mythology from round the world. The god realm is fun to picture, a Greek temple next to a Chinese shrine and an Italian restaurant. The idea of ancient gods using apps in the modern world is also great. The story is lighthearted with plenty of humor, and there are some fun steamy scenes between the main characters.

When Hannah, an elf, needs to escape family opinions at an upcoming wedding she uses the Jinx app to get a fake boyfriend to take with her. She finds Ra, the Egyptian Sun god, who needs a date for a cruse; and though they agree on a fake relationship to begin with, fate has other plans for them.

Why don’t some people just take ‘No’ for an answer?
Stop asking people why they aren’t married yet, when they are going to have children, if they are seeing somebody, etc. Those things are nobody’s business until it is. And no one should feel the need to make up a significant other in order for someone to stop pressuring about a date, a drink, or…

Having said that, Hannah and Ra both seem pretty happy with the arrangements that they made (honestly and consensually, it must be noted). Communication truly is key…

I have loved this dating agency concept from the beginning and Greenwood delivers each and every time. Our main characters are elf Hannah and sun god Ra. Neither are looking for love but circumstances have them each needing a date and the chemistry is undeniable when these two are matched!

Hannah, a high [powered lawyer and elf needs a plus one to a cousin's wedding and Ra, you know Sun God, needs a plus one for a cruise he's won so fake dating it is...or is it? This is a fake turns real paranormal romance with likable characters, some steam, and a happily ever after. I loved the way these two met and how they even drew up a contract. This is a well written story and a great addition to the Jinx Paranormal Dating Agency series. I recommend this book, this series, and this author to everyone who loves paranormal romances. Entertainment lawyer Hannah Wilder Esq is an elf that needs a boyfriend to avoid family pressure & Ra “Rafe” Sol, Egyptian Sun god, needs a girlfriend for a cruise. Cute, amusing and sweet. Wow dating under a contract is a strange concept to me, but I guess it makes sense. Hannah and Ra fall hard but that pesky contract makes things interesting... a wedding, a cruise and then seriousness. Romantic and frustrating all at the same time.
