The science fiction thriller Infinity Solution Series
An FBI agent out to redeem himself. A woman hunting her mother’s killer. A doctor risking everything to protect his half-human Infinitas race. A new breed of killers out to make certain none of them succeed.
FBI AGENT “SLAYER” SAVA, relegated to a lowly position in Africa after a major work failure, is sent to an isolated jungle to assist the Congolese with investigating an unusual death. His hope for a quick redemption is jeopardized when a major US political figure and an Infinitas doctor disappear in the same jungle.
Slayer and NEVA BOUDREAUX, a US embassy official sent to aid him, are in the right place to collect intelligence on the official’s whereabouts when the United Nations demands answers. They face an uncooperative Congolese general and eerily skilled rebel soldiers determined to stop their, or anyone else’s, interference. As the death toll rises, and Slayer and Neva fight to stay alive and complete their mission, they discover that each of them have their own agenda which could leave one of them dead and neighboring countries at war.
Author of the Kiss of Death Daphne du Maurier Mainstream award-winning book REPOSSESSED, Sandy loves to write action adventure. While flying and science are evident themes in her manuscripts, she believes its all about her strong, sexy, and memorable characters in this Oceans Eleven meets The Right Stuff type caper. She is a hydrogeologist by training with an M.S. in geological sciences and has taken additional graduate engineering coursework. She has taught at a university, worked on a military project for the Air Force Flight Test Center, worked as a design engineer for a civil engineering firm, and has done computer modeling and field studies as a hydrogeologic consultant. Keeping up with her two sons, she also learned how to fly and dive, and survived sparring for fifteen years as a black belt in Kenpo Karate. She has studied in England and Italy, traveled to South Africa, Egypt, Asia, and South America, and still travels to places of interest all over the world so she can make her stories richer.
I was both surprised and excited to see that this book came out. As it had been over 5 years since the first two books came out, I had kind of given up on there being anymore in the series. I actually worried that something had happened to the author. This is not to put pressure on authors to finish books quickly, it's just where my mindset was. And so while I really enjoyed the world of this series and found the characters compelling as well as the story equally so, I struggled to engage with it this time around. After the first 27 chapters, where I was a little over a third done, I found myself skipping to the end and then reading in reverse for awhile. It was just taking not so much so long to read it as I was finding it hard to stay engaged. This is more of me thing than any reflection on the book itself. And recognizing that the series is still going based on the ending, I'm not sure I have the fortitude to stick with it even though I am really curious to find out how the story will and in the overall series.
This was worth the wait! This series has so much depth and the characters pull you into their lives so much that you feel like you are right there beside them watching it all. My heart was pounding during the intense scenes, always cheering for Slayer and Neva. The series really has something for everyone, from political thriller/crime, to intriguing science fiction, with a little romance that builds the intensity and risks. I hope there will be many more in this series. Loved it!
