I only have one problem I wish it was a longer book I loved the plot and the story line but seven chapters was pretty damned smalll

Emily is a world class hacker and a few shady people found out about it. She gets tasked with hacking into a computer and thinks that was it..... Until they come back, because she is in danger. Gabriel sent his men to retrieve Emily, but his whole plan changes when he sees her for the first time. He is instantly obsessed with her and nothing and nobody can stop him from claiming his woman.

This is the fourth book in the Rule Breakers series by Lizzy West. I enjoyed it! I'm not used to reading about a female hacker and the man who falls for her. It was different, I liked it. Can't wait to see what Lizzy West writes next! <3

Safe. No ow/om drama. Nothing really mentioned about H’s past except he’s been with ow before and h is a virgin.
I wish there was a little more story and a little less sex. There is a lot of inner dialogue and the H and h repeat their feelings for each other over and over, it’s repetitive. I wanted to see the two bond more, see their relationship grow.
No abuse or cheating.

Emily is a twenty-three old brilliant hacking skills from the age of fifteen. She went to school and had finally gotten a degree in IT and was working at Macrocraft Consulting and Technology for two years when the company decided to downsized and laid off she and a few of her colleagues. Emily was worried about how she would be able to pay the rent on her crappy apartment not to mention the tens of thousands dollars that she still owed in student loans. One night she was at home scouring the internet desperately searching for a new job when she fell asleep on her computer. She was a awoken by a man with a gruff voice pointing to a laptop that he had placed on the table and four dangerously looking men all dressed in all black and with their caps slung low on their faces.
The man asked her if she was Emily Henderson, and told her that they were told that she could get into any computer. She was scared and in fear for her life but her mouth was so dry that she couldn't scream. When she asked what they wanted from her the man told her that he only wanted her to open the laptop and she would be compensated handsomely for her job. Once the cracked the code they pay her then left. The laptop belong to another rival mafia boss. Emily was in danger after she cracked the code on the laptop and but she was now thrown into the chaos of the mafia world something she didn't of a clue about was being followed. The guys came back to her house and told her that she should come with them for her protection until they could decipher who was following her.
They took her to the home of their boss Don Gabriel Assante of the The Black Heart mafia. What she deciphered on the laptop was information that was valuable and it saved Don Assante's life. He was upset with his men for dropping the ball and leaving her open for a threat. From the moment that she and the Don laid eyes on each other it was an insta-lust something that both of them had never felt before. Gabriel was so drawn and fascinating with her that he had to kiss her. He wanted to know everything about. There was this unspoken magnetism between them. It felt like a whirlwind of emotions, shaken, intrigued and strangely captivated. Emily was not happy being whisked away from her apartment then told that she had to stay there for her protection. The more time they spent together their feelings grow for each other and they succumbed to their attraction. Gabriel knew that she can not stay in his world of darkness, chaos and surrounding by threats and his enemies but he can not think about his life without Emily being in it. A steamy romantic happily ever after novella about a hacker losing her job after that she has men from the mafia come to have her hack a laptop to look at some messages and they pay her for doing it.
Not long after the men find her looking for a job the men take her to their mafia don who was upset that his men left the hacker out to deal with the backlash of her helping them. When they meet they both get a feeling about one another. The mafia don moves her into his mansion. Not long after the two get closer and the mafia don gives her oral sex then they have sex.
The hacker looks for a job on the mafia don’s laptop, the mafia don helps her get a job. The hacker doesn’t know how to take the mafia dons help, she doesn’t know why he would help her at all. Later the two have sex.
The mafia don takes the hacker out on a date when they see the mafia don’s relative. The mafia don and the hacker talk. The whole time after they saw the relative the mafia don kept having a bad feeling. In the car going back to the mansion the two have sex.
The next morning the hacker wakes up noticing that the mafia don is gone. After going to the bathroom to brush her teeth she gets a text from an unknown number telling about taking the mafia don and it gives her an address to come to. When the hacker gets to the address to find out that it was all a lie that the rival mafia don did to get her there. The hacker gets hit in the back of the head knocking her out when she comes to she is someplace else and the rival mafia don comes in and wants her to do some hacking for him which she refuses. The mafia don finds her and comes in to get the hacker, his gun is drawn. The rival mafia don will let the mafia don have her if he leaves the business, he agrees to leave the business. The mafia don leaves the business to his second. They tell each other how much they love each other.
Five years later they are married and have a son. The old mafia don kept his money and the couple has a security business, he invested his money as well. The couple is coming home after taking their son to his friend’s birthday party. The son is asleep in his seat when they get home the old mafia don picks his son up taking him to his room to bed. After the old mafia don is done he goes down to his wife. They have a drink of wine and soon they have sex. Their son wakes up, standing in the kitchen doorway asking if he can have some water. The hacker gets herself together while her husband laughs at her. Her husband loves his life.
The novella has amazing characters as well as being a great mage turner that’s easy to read.

Lizzy West has several really cute instalove novellas with great alphamallows that are so lovable. Unfortunately, this book is not ready to be published. There is no real connection between the two main characters. Instead, the author repeats dozens of adjectives to describe the connection between the two but it's just words being repeated and the same things being said in different ways for most of the book, trying to evoke feelings in the reader, but it doesn't work.
There is no buildup of the world, the characters, the relationship, nothing. Everything is just there and nothing in the story flows well, stuff just happens suddenly and with no explanation and the characters reactions are not remotely believable. Four men somehow break into Emily's apartment and she calmly sits at her table and hacks into the computer they ask her to? No panic, no fuss, no questions, nothing.
Oh and my favourite is the ending of the book. When Emily is finally lured to a warehouse by the rival Mafia Don and Gabriel shows up to rescue her, his enemy demands that he leave the criminal underworld in exchange for Emily. Gabriel had burst in through the door and had a gun trained on Don Saint's head, does he kill him like any true mafia leader would? No, he says fine, I will give in to your demands, you can have my men, my businesses, organization, everything. So ridiculous. It gets worse, that's not even how the book ends...It ends with Gabriel leaving everything to his second in command 🙄 Because that was the deal he made with Don Saint..only is wasn't, so I am confused.
There are several different instances where the same scene is decribed a second time like a page later and with slightly different wording, it was really confusing and jarring. Reading this story left me with a headache and it was actually really hard to follow and took way more concentration than it should have. I am not able to recommend this book to others unless it undergoes some serious reworking. But definitely check out her other work because she is still one of my favourite authors ❤️ This particular book just was not for me but others may really love it.

Emily has just lost her job and one day is threatened into hacking into a computer for some mafia thugs. She knows it's sketchy but she needs the cash. Somehow doing the job has put her life in danger and the thugs' boss Gabriel demands that she be brought to him.
They meet and there's a lot of sexy times, but what I thought was interesting was how they settled the danger. I feel that part of the story could have been developed a lot more instead of the two just having hot sex all the time. I've read a few other books from this author and think some of the others were better. But this was a short read that was ok entertainment anyway. Also, the girl on the cover is very pretty! I like it!.

This story didn’t resonate with me like some of the authors others. This one tended to hop all over the place. Gabriel is a mob boss and Emily is a hacker. He used Emily to crack open a stolen laptop and now feels he needs to protect her. Too many discrepancies in the story, and the storyline didn't line up well as a mafia romance. You never knew which mob Gabriel was the head of until the very end. There is a rival mob boss wanting to get rid of Gabriel. The story is still instalove and steamy but I just couldn’t get into it. It was an okay read.

The Mobster's Hacker is Book 4 of Rule Breakers series. It's a short and steamy, OTT, instalove, virgin gets her mafia man romance. Emily is a 23 year old hacker. Gabriel is a hunky mafia don. When his men hire Emily to hack into a stolen computer, they inadvertently put her in danger. Gabriel sends them to bring her back to him for protection. Love blooms, but can Gabriel protect her? I loved this couple. They had good chemistry, and the ending was happy. However, the story was a bit confusing as the war between the characters wasn't explained, and the storyline had some inconsistencies. 3.5☆s.

Laid off from her job, Emily (h23) puts her computer hacking skills to work when she’s tasked with unlocking a password protected laptop by some shadowy figures. Gabriel (H), head of the Black Heart Mafia, sends his men to bring Emily in for protection from a potential threat after she assisted with the laptop and instantly finds himself drawn to the younger woman. Things quickly heat up between the two, and Gabriel is determined to protect her from any danger that comes her way. Hot and steamy age gap, mafia romance with a side of danger.

I'm giving her a four-star as opposed to a three-star just because it would be based more off of my personal feelings for this book. Overall the author does a decent job I just felt like the book was lacking Direction at times and it was not my cup of tea. To be honest I have read multiple books by this author and she's not allowed me so I think it is more of a personal dislike than an actual issue with the book so I would still recommend it.

The Mobster’s Hacker is a short, he-falls-first novella with a virgin heroine hacker and the alpha monster who loves her. Gabriel and Emily’s love story is a quick, fun read. I like how their meeting is completely unplanned, and the storyline moves quickly. There are some gaps and some repetition, but overall it’s enjoyable.

Emily was a computer genius who had just lost her job. She is threatened into hacking for the mafia but when a rival family finds out her life is in danger so mob boss Gabriel sends his men to bring her to safety. One look and Gabriel knows Emily is his forever. Sweet, steamy story with danger, suspense, a loving, protective hero and a wonderful HEA.

Not for me
It's not my usual type of read . New author for me to explore. I liked the first couple of books I read but not this one. I'm not a fan of the writing. It's just not for me . I found it weird in a way . N, I didn't care for the end of the story. A weak mmc . He let another male boss him around n, etc. The fmc was snotty, a brat. I dont know if I will read anything else from this author. Will see ....

Emily needs money and when the don hires her to do what she does best and hack into a stolen laptop she didnt expect to come face to face with Gabriel the owner of the laptop she hacks, and finds a deep connection, well written fast paced engaing steamy read.

I am a fan of Lizzy West. However this is not one of my favs. I liked the premise of the story but I never connected with the characters.
The flow of the book was distracting with no build up of the story. The ending left a lot to be desired.

I really enjoy Lizzy West's insta love novellas. This one unfortunately was redundant. I had to go back and reread a few paragraphs because I felt like I already them a few pages back. I liked the premise of the book. I also liked the characters Gabriel and Emily. Needed a little more build up between the characters.

This is a short book you can read in under an hour. Emily is a closet hacker forced to do a job for a crime boss, Gabriel. After doing this job, she is in danger, and Gabriel brings her to his home. They have plenty of chemistry and lots of spicy action. It's a great short read!

If you are looking for a quick story to make your day, then Lizzy has written the book perfectly for you. The story hooks you from the beginning and leaves you breathless. I enjoyed reading this story and I like that each one in this series is a standalone.

I LOVE it when we have a FMC that the MMc and other depend on. The fact that Emily was ballsy, tough and a hacker was a surprise. Emily was an amazing FMC and she was relatable. Gabriel...yumm!!! I will not spoil the ending....but damn Gabriel is amazing.

I really enjoyed reading The Mobster's Hacker. Once I started reading it I had a hard time putting it down. The storyline grabbed my attention from the start. I don't want to spoil the book for you so I don't provide details. However, I would recommend reading this book/series.

This is a well written short story with a hacker and mobster finding love. The author takes you into their lives with drama and a sizzling hot chemistry. I enjoyed reading their story.

Molly and Gabriel have an interesting story. I thought it is interesting how the conflict/ danger of the storyline was addressed. This is a quick and steamy, entertaining but a bit repetitive at times

Enjoyable read, however if you read previous book about Dom Saint, neither these 2 seem to have the same characteristics written in that book.
