"What people are ashamed of usually makes a good story" ~ F. Scott Fitzgerald
If only he knew, he was a half mile from hell. I was sitting outside in my car–struggling with my thoughts to keep from killing him.
I can still her voice in my sleep, "I'm not happy----you don't treat me special. I'm leaving and getting an apartment next week."
Now I'm not stupid ---when your spouse tells you some shit like that they're comparing you to someone else.
Late nights at the office---out with girlfriends...I knew it was a lie...I just knew it.
I was taught to forgive and forget. But, even I---even I had my limits.
CAUGHT in the Act---What would you do?

"All I can say is WOW! This book is SCANDALOUS to say the least! A MUST READ!" ~Donovan Dalcour
"Was nice to see a man express his vulnerability,"~
"WHAT WOMEN DON'T REALIZE IS MEN HURT TOO!"
The marriage didn't have to end this way. I will love you until my heart stops is what they promised each other.
In the author's own It took 13 years for Veronica to ask me to forgive her. I told her that I forgave her several years ago. She asked to read the journal that I kept for 730 days after she left. When I asked why, she said so she could see what I was thinking. After all this time, she didn't have a clue that she almost killed me. I told her that it was too brutal for her to read. She said, "I'm sure it's not that bad, and it won't bother me."
Okay then, here are the recorded events as they unfolded.

At the beginning of this book you are warned I believe four times that what is to follow has not been proofread, is unedited and written as a diary with no smoothing of the rough edges. I thought I might have a problem with this because well I tend to have a problem with that - but I did not. To be honest once I started reading I was enjoying it so much didn’t think about it again. This is the story from the man’s perspective of the breakdown of a marriage over a two year period and it is painfully honest and sad. I actually thought he was amazingly tolerant of and generous to his estranged wife who selfishly wanted the best of both worlds irrespective of anyone else’s feelings. A boldly written diary with nothing held back from the reader I’d recommend to anyone who likes a little rawness in their reading.
Who said marriage is a Fairytale sometimes it's bittersweet. This is a true story of a marriage that went wrong after ten years when thinking he had a blissful love and life. When waking up one sunny day thinking you’re on top of the world and your wife out of the blue tells you I do not love you anymore I want my freedom because you never made me feel special. When there is no communication and a busy lifestyle your thinking everything is fine, this story was from the heart. When you love someone thinking it’s forever this story was written straightforward by a man point view certainly a page-turner you will feel his pain how he fought for the love of his life! Your tears will flow reading this amazing story it’s a heartfelt emotional rollercoaster that goes on for a year it’s a Must Read!! I recommend it this is reality of life.
I was so mad because I could not post this to Kindle.
This book was jarring, jaw dropping and emotional. I admit I cried. Being in love and not having someone love you back is heartbreaking enough, normally you hear her side of the story. This is from a male's perspective of being cheated on and all the feelings, hurt, and emotions that come with it. You can't leave someone hanging on because you don't want to let go. The back and forth tug of war! What he does to move on and stay sane.
It is a tear jerking journey. One that I don't wish on anyone. I don't think there was a page I wasn't crying. But, it was much needed. As you read the book experiences you are reading may clash with what you may be going through will make you think differently. I still cry as I think of the whole night I spent reading it. I could not put it down. I love LeMont books.
Before anyone buys this book; let me just warn you that the formatting and editing is HORRIBLE!!! So if you can't stand an unedited story, PLEASE GIVE THIS BOOK A CHANCE!! I say this because the lack of editing truly adds a sense of realism to the story which is told through a diary/journal. Now who edits their journal entries? No one. So of course that adds realism. The story is somewhat similar to the film "Eyes Wide Shut" with the exception of the plot which is about the process of divorce and what a married couple goes through which may lead to a divorce. Without giving too much away, the ending is truly heart breaking but it's also got a few shocks to make you guess on which direction the story will go.
Enter the mind of M. Le'Mont, just your average guy trying to get by at the turn of the century, Y2K. In the anatomy of a divorce it is said that there is his side and her side and then there is the truth! In Caught up, What is Done in the Dark, Comes to Light, (also titled, The Point of No Return) the reader gets M. Le'Mont's version of the truth via his diary that takes you on a roller coaster ride of psychological mystery of who 'dunit' as he assembles his 'dawgs' to unmask the truth! M. Le'Mont's writing style is straight forward, albeit cliché, he has an original voice that takes you into Houston, Texas, and the wealth of characters that live there. All in all an entertaining read! Now let's get Veronica's side of the story!
It was an amazing ride for being so tragic. It feels nice to know people can survive whatever comes in their way. Divorce was hard for me too and even worse for the author! I was completely impressed for being a YA fiction writer/ reader. I am a huge twitter fan of this author and cant wait to see what's next. It takes a lot for a book to make me cry and this real life story will make you cry too.
