Running To My Soulmate

Rate this book
Are you ready for a second chance at love with a runaway bride, small beach town, meddling locals and a sexy, grumpy MC who is also a firefighter?

Did you ever feel that kind of love where one look was all it took?
I did.
Only now, I am standing in a white dress, willing myself to walk down the aisle to another man.
Just one step that I never take…instead, I run

They say second chances are not real. They say fate is a myth, yet here I am, looking into one set of ocean eyes, two thousand miles away from where I left them two years ago. The eyes I never thought I’d see again. And based on the fire igniting them, neither did he.
Now the question is, are we going to use the second chance that ever-elusive fate has given us, or will we keep running in circles?

It took a second to fall in love…
One night to fall apart…
Two years to meet again…
And fifty-plus reasons to stay away.
Only none of them are good enough when you are dealing with your soulmate.

“After all this time?”
“You just couldn’t wait to use that one, did you?”

“I should hate you for burrowing yourself so deep under my skin that no matter how many times I try to peel it off, it won’t go away.”

Grace is engaged to a man (that we shall not name because he is the worst) but she receives a call from a family member that basically has her coming to her senses and she flees her own wedding!!! She heads back to her family, but while she’s back in town she runs into Luke (while still wearing her wedding dress 😅) Luke & Grace had a thing prior but it didn’t work out, but there are still obvious feelings still there...

They keep running into each other and Luke decides he isn’t going to let Grace get away this time.. the spice be spicin’ & the chemistry is so good! But can they make it work this time? 😏

If you love Harry Potter references, spicy romcoms, small towns, and a hot mmc then you are getting all of that in one book!

You might like this book if you enjoy:
☀️second chance
☀️romcom
☀️runaway bride
☀️spice 🌶️

This series is interconnected and would recommend reading the first two books!

i have to admit that although i was so excited to read this book, i was a little disappointed. but i don’t like spreading negativity so let’s start off with the things i loved about this book.

i really liked seeing all my favorite characters together again and i do think it’s a fun idea to write three books in the same timeline with overlapping scenes and the povs from the three different couples. i’m so very glad all the levine sisters got their happy ending!! i also thoroughly enjoyed the crazy small town that’s so obsessed with love. i could never live there because i would go INSANE (just like joy from book 2) but for a book it’s adorable and really funny to read about. all the text messages made me laugh out loud for sure.

i loved grace as a character and i’m so glad she healed and stood up for herself, emotional abuse can be just as traumatic as physical abuse and this book really showed that, i also loved how luke helped grace heal and feel like herself again. and she’s a potterhead so ofc i have to love her!!

and luke is such a cute guy!!! he made her origami flowers because he didn’t have time to buy real ones, so he looked up on google and tried and tried until he had origami flowers to give her!! that man is a walking green flag AND a firefighter. what more can a girl want 🤭

now for the part i didn’t like, first off im a hater of the instant love trope, because i genuinely don’t believe in “love at first sight” so knowing they fell in love when they first met, i just didn’t love it. but that’s a me issue, i know plenty of people that do like that trope. the other thing that i would’ve liked seeing differently was the fact that grace and luke made up so fast. it felt like they were together for half the book and it got kinda repetitive. also there was more smut than plot in my opinion which is okay, i’m not shaming anyone who enjoys that, but it just wasn’t my cup of tea. and i was kinda hoping for a third act break up (which is a trope i hate) just for things to get interesting and maybe a little less steamy. i’m still glad i read it because it was funny and i was really curious about this story, and even tho i didn’t love the book i do think they are soulmates.

swoony, cute and spicy

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 stars
🌶️🌶️🌶️ 3/5 spice

In the 11th hour she realised what a huge mistake she was about to make walking down the aisle in this huge white dress. So she does the one thing she’s good at. She runs. She runs away to this small beach town, Loverly Cove where her parents have relocated to. She needs a fresh start and what better place then this small town where she knows no one except for her parents. Only the first person she sees when she stops to take in the view is him.
He fled New York. He couldn’t stay there anymore knowing she was living her life. Happy. Not thinking about him even one second. Getting married right about now. Only she just walked out of the car in front of him in this small gossip-hole of a town he grew up in.

This is book 3 from lovely Loverly Cove.
Yet again Daisy writes a quick pace, funny, easy to read romcom even though it touches some heavier themes this time around. It’s a bit less on the comedy side, but still a really fun read and still packed with banter. I love that Luke and Griffs relationship is almost as funny as Alec and Jacob’s.

The beginning of this book is like the two before and I really enjoy seeing the same situations from so many different POV’s even though I was a bit impatient to get to Luke and Grace’s interactions with each other😅 I think Daisy have been clever with how she offers different angels and new informations on the same situations you recognise from the two first books.

Luke is so swoony and I love how he is so grumpy around everyone else except for his Grace, but I have to say it is Alec that owns my heart in LC😅 I do wish we got to see a bit more of how these two solved their relationship in this book.

Grace is such a fun, loving girl. And a real youngest sister. I really feel for her and the journey she has emotionally. Thankfully she has the sweetest, most patient soulmate and a bad ass best friend as well as the fantastic four.

I love that it is still so much more to come from this small town, and can’t wait to learn more about Griffin 🤩

Again a really good book from this lovely, crazy small beach town.

I have been hanging out for this instalment of the Loverly Cave series! The moment I started I was practically kicking my feet giddy to be back in this town, with these sisters, their family and the unique and totally hilarious side characters. This is a beautiful, witty second chance romance with a whole lot of heart and steam.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁: small beach town, second chance, runaway bride, age gap, grumpy x sunshine, fireman mmc, spicy romcom.

Grace is now firmly my favourite Levine sister, I could relate to her chaotic personality, her ramblings and sarcasm. Her love for Harry Potter and the references throughout was so fun. She’s on a journey to rediscover herself and the growth she goes through is so admirable!

Luke and Grace had met prior but things didn’t work out, fast forward two years and they’re surprised to see each other suddenly in the same small town. I loved how Daisy gave us their history, with their sweet meet cute and fun banter which really built onto their story and reconnecting.

Once Luke realises he isn’t letting her go again he is full steam ahead and I loved how determined he was. He was patient, understanding and helped to build Grace back up while showing her what love really is.

This is an interconnected standalone however I highly recommend reading the previous books to appreciate and understand the characters, this quirky town and enhance the overall experience.

Thank you Daisy for this ARC!
I can’t believe the last Levine sister got her HEA. This quirky, beach town always has all the love and laughs!
Grace runs from her wedding to end up reuniting with her sisters in LC. Meanwhile, she runs into the man she fell for 2 years ago. Luke is at first really angry with Grace for getting engaged, but after he continues to run into her the floodgates open.
Luke was such a great MMC when he came to his senses. If you like Harry Potter and happily ever afters then this is for you!

First, can I say that I like the Harry Potter reference quotes in the beginning of each chapter! I highlighted every single one being a potter head I understand this is great! also, this book is relatable with the parents not being around the husband but the husband is a prick. I just like Peter very much. This book was so cute I loved it.

ARC Review of Running to my soulmate by Daisy Thorn

My obsession with this series has been ongoing since the very first book, Hope and Alec made me believe in love again, Jacob and Joy gave me life and Luke and Grace (and the Potterhead in me) made my heart happy💘.
I absolutely adored all the Harry Potter jokes, the banter, Grace’s way of saying Insults and bad words quoting Harry Potter, it was just Iconic.

Moreover, the spicee? Omg it had me fanning myself all hot and bothered, Luke is an icon, he’s definitely the best book boyfriend ever, making her believe in herself again, letting her be strong, letting her feel away her feelings, helping her become an amazing version of herself, just so beautiful, it had me tearing up.
This book gave me all the feels, it had me laughing like a hyena, crying like a crazy person and wanting to hit Peter cause he’s trash.

Why is no one talking about the fact that Sophie, Vassar and Vee are mentioned in this book!!???? I legit screamed, worlds colliding and it made my heart melt. (Just in case you have no idea what I’m talking about, go read My Heartless Soul).

Utterly grateful to be in Daisy’s team and be able to get such amazing ARCs like this one, and get to share it with you guys!

Book coming out April 15th on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited!!

I almost don’t have words. I mean really, I have a lot of words, because this book was just that good. But when I was reading The Romance is Dead, and met Gracie as a runaway bride and then her hiding from a guy that makes her orgasam without even touching her, I was dying to read her story. Daisy, did not disappoint with this one!

This is the third book in the Loverly Cave series. I do recommend reading in order, or at least reading the first book before this one, as it has a lot of major key details in it. This book is on the same timeline as the others, so you get to see what Gracie was up to, while Hope and Joy were both getting woo’d by their men and she was single. Or so she said. Now we know things were happening in the background with her also.

I am so glad that Gracie ran from that wedding, but oh my gosh, I can’t even begin to describe how much I truly dislike Peter. He is such a terrible and selfish man. After what was revealed at the end, I just wanted to sit and cry for Gracie and Luke.

When it comes to Luke, I love the man, but I do wish he would’ve handled things a little differently at the beginning. He held onto his anger for far too long. Outside of that, once he decided he couldn’t let her go again, I loved him. I think Luke was great for Gracie, he was exactly what she needed to heal and get back to being herself. She needed to shed all of that grooming and trauma caused by Peter, and Luke was just the man to do it.

Another thing I loved about this quirky book, was her love of Harry Potter! It was adorable. Luke was also a potterhead. One of my favorite things was their tattoos. After meeting two years prior, they both got tattoos for each other, that the other person never knew about until they come back together in Loverly Cave.

The town and their parents are just as much a piece of this story. The way that Daisy created this story and wove it together just puts a smile on your face. The people in this town are over the top and quirky, but they all have hearts of gold and it gives off those perfect small town vibes. I loved the way they all came together when Luke finally logged onto the Love Hive!

Overall, this is definitely a 4.5 star read for me. As for the spice, I’d have to say it’s probably sitting at a 2.5 to a 3. Luke is a very active man, if you get my drift!

Willing to give this 2.5 because this couple was a little more believable???

Some things I liked:
Also this book begins with our MC leaving a very toxic and emotionally abusive/manipulative partner, and the book shows her through the beginning of her healing process as she starts to find herself again. It was very clearly something near and dear to our author and for that I give kudos, I think it was fairly well written.
The love interest, Luke, was a MAJOR green flag, he made her origami flowers and cooked for her and always made sure she felt safe and reassured. He very clearly loved her a lot. Also… he was a firefighter. Which isn’t an automatic green flag, but Luke is a green flag and therefore being a firefighter is, too.

Now onto all my venting:
I can get around some Harry Potter references, I guess. But Harry Potter was this woman’s ENTIRE FUCKING PERSONALITY. Instead of “oh my god” she said “oh my Harry” and instead of “what the fuck” she would say “Lumos Maxima”. You get the picture.
Also FOR THE LOVE OF GOD JUST TALK. TALK TO EACH OTHER. PLEASE GOD.
Every character is so bland. They all talk exactly the same— like a millennial woman. I assume this author is a millennial woman? Which is fine! Be a millennial! See if I care! (/s) But no character has their own unique voice unless they’re “grumpy”, and even then ITS NOT THAT DIFFERENT
And all of the “final bosses” (which is how I refer to the things at the end of the book that try to break the couple up) are so… grand. A controlling ex tracks her down and basically acts like an emotionally abusive Draco Malfoy. A Powerful Businessman shows up and makes a grand declaration like in a fucking muppet movie. It’s just so MUCH. Anyway I think I’m done. The books aren’t bad they’re just fucking ridiculous

Who doesn’t want to get sucked into a quirky little town all about finding love?? That’s exactly what this Loverly Cave series is! Fellow meddling family members just hoping to help three sisters find the man of their dreams through silly, no boundary, chaotic ways.

Running to my Soulmate is book 3 in the Loverly Cave series and follows the youngest sister, Grace. After walking away from the love of her life 2 years ago Grace now finds herself about to walk down the aisle to a man who has completely changed her…and not for the better. She no longer recognizes the woman in the mirror and she no longer remembers her dreams, wants and desires in life. An unsuspecting phone call from her mother has her rushing down the church steps and driving to Loverly Cave Town on the opposite side of the country. So long fiancé!

What she doesn’t expect is to run into the very man she never saw again from 2 years ago, Luke, the new Chief Fireman in town. As tension, past feelings, pent up sexual chemistry and some nosy towns people all surround Grace and Luke they must decide whether the past is worth pursing again or if hurts from others will keep them apart for good.

This series is always a light and fun read as there is humor, family ties, Harry Potter references, sexy and swoony men, dirty talking hero’s and fierce women. This one is a little more somber just based on the topic at hand however it still has the same fun beach read feel as the rest of the series and ties them all in.

This book was remarkably cute and funny. A definite rom-com. This is the third installment of the Loverly Cave series. I love how Daisy intertwines her characters from past books into her present books.

While Grace goes through a dull and lifeless relationship with her fiancé Peter, she gets to see a glimpse of what her life could be like had she not “wasted” her last 2 years of her life meeting THAT bartender in THAT town after running away from a huge life making decision that could potentially save her.

Daisy’s writing is phenomenal in this book I loved her enthusiasm and I truly loved how she wrote Luke. I love that golden retriever man. Luke, the bartender who met the love of his life at first sight. After having that very innocent night with Grace. She practically makes Luke like a joke the very next night.

Luke is such a special character and he deserves awards for how patient he is with Grace. The way he uplifts her and makes sure she talks only good about Grace. That’s a man right there.

𝘙𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘔𝘺 𝘚𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦 is book 3 in the Loverly Cave series. I recommend reading the first two books because this one will contain spoilers and the first two will contain content that will pop up throughout book 3, however it could be read as a standalone if you really wanted to be a rebel.

Welcome back to Loverly Cave. ❤️
Grace leaves her ex at the alter on her wedding day (trust me it needed to happen) to run off to a small town in California to reconnect with her estranged family. However, once she arrives she comes face to face with the one that got away. And great, of course she’s in her wedding dress.

Luke never in a million years thought he would ever see Grace again, especially in Loverly Cave. He never thought HE would be back in Loverly Cave, so why is she here in his home town of all places, in a freaking wedding dress to top it off! All he knows is that she ruined him years ago, he has never been the same since, and he doesn’t want her near him now.

With the whole town interfering and trying to shut down Luke’s list of reasons he keeps throwing at Grace to stay away from him, will he stand a chance at avoiding her? Will Grace get an opportunity to finally explain to Luke what happened all those years ago? Or is it truly over and should they let it be a thing of the past?
Guess you’ll have to read to find out!! ❤️

I absolutely love this series, I especially loved all the Harry Potter references throughout this one and how the past characters crossed over from book 1 and 2 so often! I cannot wait to see what is next for Loverly Cave! ❤️

ALSO - Don’t act like I didn’t catch that cross over of characters from another series miss ma’am! I see you being sneaky sneaky! 😉 The gasp I gusp!

This book was honestly hilarious! It had me laughing throughout the whole book. The towns people of Loverly Cave were definitely a bit too "friendly" with each other for my liking, but to each their own. And it sort of was the town's people butting into Grace & Luke's business that brought them together.

I want to say that Luke was an asshole that left Grace without giving her a chance to explain anything. Not a good move sir! It was good to see Grace put him in his place several times throughout the book and he finally got to his senses and went after his girl. Though he did need to grovel more.

It was heartbreaking to see Grace manipulated so much by Peter. You can see that Grace has such a strong soul, but once someone has a hold of your insecurities it's easy to fall into someone's trap. I'm so happy she's finally free from Peter and took control over her life!

The connection between the three sisters was wonderful! I don't have any sisters, but if I did I'd love to have the relationship they had! Of course without the 10 year not talking phase.

The Harry Potter references were a bit much for me, but I'm sure Harry Potter fans will greatly appreciate it :)

By now it won’t be wrong to say that I am a fan of Daisy Thorn. This is my third book by her and each one of them has been a five star read for me. The story. Emotional growth in characters. Banter & Comedy and last but not the least the spice.

Running to my soulmate is the third book in the Loverly Cave Series and revolves around Grace Levine who left her home a while back. She thought getting married was in the plans but cold feet and her mother’s call of distress due to her father’s health makes her the runaway bride to the town which is filed the love, hope and quirks only for her to find her sisters and the fact that her mother emotionally blackmailed and dad is ok.

With no plans to go back she takes this time to heal the broken bonds between sisters but is shocked to come across the guy who got away two years back.

Luke ran away from this town when he was hurt by a girl but is now back here because a girl hurt him. But since she is back here he doesn’t know whether to move on and explore the things left unexplored.

Luke is a mushy caveman and I fell in love with him and his feelings for Grace. This book was such a fun read and on the gossip chat, the overbearing neighbours and the whole small town interference was such a great add-on.

Welcome back to Loverly Cave! This quirky little town is one of my favorites and I was so happy to finally get Grace and Luke’s story as their encounters in books 1 and 2 made me super curious about their history. This third book was a little more serious, still plenty to laugh out loud about, but Grace and Luke had to both confront their pasts and how those experiences were going to impact their future, individually and together.

I struggled a little bit repeating the first part of the story for the third time. I know it’s necessary and the three sister’s stories are all happening simultaneously, but I was a little bored when they first all arrived back in LC and reunited with their meddling parents. Once that part of the story was complete and I was able to finally see what Grace and Luke were up to while her sisters were also finding love I was completely invested. Overall, I loved the way their story unfolded and was happy to see their happily ever after. Thank you to author Daisy Thorn for the advanced copy of this book.

This book is so fun. I love revisiting the wacky people of Loverly Cave.

Grace runs away from her lavish wedding and returns to her estranged family after ten years. She doesn’t have anywhere else to go so she decides to stay. She has no idea that a man from her past would also be there. Shocked would be an understatement.

Luke returns home to Loverly Cave to be the new fire chief. Imagine his surprise when the woman he’s loved and lost is there.
Luke wants her to stay far, far away from him while simultaneously seeking her out every chance he gets.
The entire town conspires to push them together and it works.

This pair are so hot for one another. When they succumb to their feeling they can’t get enough of each other.
When is hot I mean off the charts.

I love how Luke loves her just as she is and encourages her to be authentic true self.
I enjoyed watching Grace reclaim her true self after suppressing it for the past couple of years. Her creative cursing is hilarious.

This new book runs parallel to the first two in the series. It can be read as a standalone but you will missing out on so much fun if you skip them.

This book is the third book in the loverly cave series, my cuties Grace and Luke💖 from the first book, I wanted to have their story so badly and miss Daisy did not disappoint!😭
If you have read the first two books, you would find the beginning of the stories a bit repetitive because you’ve seen it in every point of view but honestly after the first few chapters it’s a breeze!!💨
I’m the biggest hater of Grace’s ex 🥴😒what an asshole!
Okay but Luuukkeeee😏 a moment of silence for this man please cuz ughhh😫🤌🏼 idk if I want to be Grace or be Luke 🫣
Honestly love both characters so much✨slight miscommunication but it gets resolved!♥️ Grace is the biggest Harry Potter lover (can’t say the same🫣) so there’s many HP references throughout the book but it’s okay there was a glossary in the beginning🫶🏼

Oh to be welcomed back to Loverly Cave…
Daisy! You did it again! Made me fall yet again for another one of your hottie book boyfriends.

Oh Grace and Luke go through it all and its all worth it!

Grace is a strong-willed 24 year old living in NY, who ended up with a manipulator of an ex when she really should’ve been with her soulmate.

Luke let “the one” get away and regretted it. That left him in a grumpy state. Luke trying to run away from his love, goes back to his home town, Loverly Cave and can’t believe the love of this life is right in front of his eyes.

OHHHH once you get to the dinner scene and the beer bottle IYKYK 🥵🥵🤤🤯

Chapter 43! Had me cracking up!!! The sister convos then when Jacob and Alec went to ask Luke a specific question! 🤣⛓️‍💥

OMGGGG DAISY!!!! Luke!!!!! Ahhhhh!!! Best. Book. Boyfriend. EVER!!!

Grace ran away from the life she thought she wanted. But, when she arrives home she doesn’t expect to run into the one that she hasn’t forgotten, even after two years.

Luke never thought he would see her again. He has so many questions…but, does he want the answers?!

I was so excited to be back in Loverly Cave with the Levine sisters again! This 3rd book is way more emotional than the first 2 and had me all up in the feels multiple times. But as always, there was loads of humor! The quirky town, meddling family members and townspeople, and the sibling banter had me laughing and giggling the whole time! Grace and Luke got their second chance and they are truly soulmates like the title says! Definitely read the first 2 before this!

Probably my favorite in the series!! Daisy sure does know how to make you love and hate certain characters. Such a cute story of nosey, meddling townspeople, grumpy firefighter, and happy go lucky Grace, who was about to marry someone she thought she was supposed to. Then Luke comes into the picture (again) and shows her how she should truly be treated 😍🫠

Grace and Luke just wow I loved all the feels between them and how Luke always knew that grace was it for him. I loved the small town vibes and the text banter and Harry Potter quotes and references. Loved it

It is a cute little book based on second chances, a runaway bride and a fireman in a coastal small town. It a cute little story but as it is suggested by the author l'd read the book 1 & 2 before reading this book. It would definitely help.

I just adore this series! I have been waiting for Grace and Luke's story, and it did not disappoint.

Grace runs off on the day of her wedding to her parents' home in a small California beach town only to find when she gets there, the man she could never stop thinking about lives there now too. Grace and Luke can't fight the magnetism between them, and with the whole town interfering, they don't stand a chance.

I can not recommend this author enough. Daisy Thorn is so talented and weaves stories with characters you feel could be your best friend. Not to mention her spice is delectable.

I am officially obsessed! This was one of those books that just straight up made me laugh out loud, giggle and kick my feet in the air. It was cheesy but in the best way! Small coastal town with all of the nosy neighbors and everything that comes along with that! A runaway bride, heartbroken firefighter, conspiring quirky parents and sisters that just need each other. This book has it all and more and you will not regret this read!🫶
