I'm an author who writes romance. I have a few other projects in the works. I love to read or listen to books on tape (digital downloads now ;)) It makes my day when a book can make me feel the story along with the characters as well as bring a smile to my face. I will read any type of fiction but mostly romance. I love to draw inspiration from everything in my every day life. When you have a bad day sitting down and writing a joyous event makes it better.

Ok, I have to admit this book had huge potential but it falls under I don't think the author read it out loud before publishing it as so much of the dialogue felt awkward and forced. Also the male pov felt to feminine at times.
However, the book also falls under it did get better. It felt like about 50% of the book it picked up momentum and the dialogue felt more relaxed and real but it was left with a bit of a cliff hanger and I do not have a hot clue when book 2 is going to come out. Grrr!
This story deals with family, friends, fame, abuse and love.
With Charlotte she is trying to start over from an abusive relationship while doing this she happens to meet Wyatt. Instantly there is an attraction but with loads of assumptions and miscommunications things aren't smooth sailing.
At the same time Charlotte and Wyatt's BFF also hook up. It would start out as a weekend fling but both couples got so much more than that.
As Charlotte and Wyatt muck there way through their relationship they also gain new friendships in the fight for Charlotte's safety.
In the end Charlotte goes through hell and we are left with a big cliff hanger. So many questions left unanswered. I need to know what happens with Charlotte and Wyatt. I am invested in this series to see it through.

Charlotte ‘Charlie’ McElroy is taking a break in Las Vegas with her best friend Riley Tate for a few days having just split up from her abusive ex-boyfriend Tony, all she wants to do is relax and have some fun.
Wyatt Grayson is in Las Vegas for a short break in between filming to have some fun with his friends Miles and Jesse they are planning to have a few drinking and partying, and nothing more. Finding that special someone or falling in love was not on Charlie or Wyatt's list of top things to do while in Las Vegas.
I liked Charlie, she comes across as tough with an attitude, but she is delicate and gentle, and my heart went out to her because of what she did and does go through at the hands of her ex boyfriend Tony. As for Wyatt I liked him at first very sexy, but then he went and did something in Las Vegas to piss me right off, and I wanted to punch him for being so childish. However he did redeem himself and prove that he was a caring, sweet and a nice guy.
I liked the storyline I’m not going to say much about it as it would give too much away, but a lot happens, and especially when they are in Las Vegas. It's funny, romantic, but also has a serious aspect to it as it's about someone who went through an abusive relationship. A lot of action and drama comes from Charlie’s ex boyfriend who can only be described as a psychopath who won’t leave her alone.
Charlie and Wyatt are good together, but they do fall in love very quickly maybe a little too quickly for me, they have their issues, but the chemistry between these two is hot which does result in lots of sexy scenes.
It is told from both POV, which I like as it gave you an insight into what Charlie and Wyatt were thinking. I think that with Charlie's POV sometimes I felt that I was more worried about her safety than she was, I could understand why she wasn’t more worried about some of Tony’s threats. And with Wyatt’s POV I did question a few times if he would say and think some of the things he did as some of his dialogue come across a little cheesy.
I liked most of the secondary characters such as Riley and Miles great supporting friends. I had issues with Jesse I didn’t like him he just annoyed me every time he opened his mouth.
I did find the end of the book slightly frustrating as Charlie goes through an ordeal, which I had a feeling was going to happen, but it’s glossed over and I’m left wondering what happened during this time. So there is a cliffhanger, not one that shocked me but one that as I swiped the last page left me wanting more and a lot of unanswered questions.
Overall I liked this debut novel by Becca Siller, I did find myself questioning a few parts, but with that being said, it was an enjoyable read that I would recommend as I definitely plan on reading the next one in the series, and as I couldn’t find any info on it I hope that I don’t have to wait too long.
Waiting for you gets 3 stars from me.
“Her gaze shoots through me like she can see into my soul. See all my secret” ~Wyatt
“My heart speeds up and my core clenches at the sight of him. His warm caramel eyes, broad shoulder, and shaggy brown hair are a sexy mess. Gosh he’s beautiful”. ~ Charlie
“Because being around you is like a drug, I can’t get enough. I think about you constantly, I wonder what you are doing and you’re thinking about me. Its intense; I’ve never felt like this before” ~ Wyatt
It’s more than just wanting to spend a lot of time together, more than sex, it’s just more. There is something there that makes me feel safe, like he’s home to me.”~ Charlie
After breaking up with her abusive boyfriend, Tony, Charlotte McElroy and her best friend Riley Tate head to Las Vegas for fun and relaxation. They never dream they will meet hot and hunky movie stars. Although Charlotte had decided to take a break from men she cannot pass up the chance to get to know Wyatt Grayson, a man she just met and yet feels a deep connection and trust with. Tate, who is looking for a good time, falls for Miles Porter and soon finds herself head over heals.
Wyatt Grayson and Miles Porter head to Las Vegas for a quick vacation between filming. Never did they dream they would meet and start relationships with two women from Portland on a vacation. When Charlotte is stalked by her ex Tony and attacked, Wyatt realizes how much he cares and how much they need each other. The road their relationship must travel will not be easy, stalking ex’s , travelling for filming, and their tough histories.
The friendship, sisterhood is a better word, between Charlotte and Riley is amazing. I have a sister and I am not sure we are as close as these two are. Their relationship is amazing. They truly can tell each other everything and trust that they have their support and help no matter what. Through thick and thin these two ladies are amazing. Never faltering or hesitating to run to each other’s defense. This is not the main storyline of Wanting You but it touched me.
The relationships between Charlotte and Wyatt and Riley and Miles were steamy HOT! Sometimes I felt they were too hot, but I am certainly not complaining. I loved every minute, even the fighting, of their relationships. Although they were hot, there was much more to their relationships. They all had trust issues and managed to get through them and be with each other. When one of them had an issue, big or small, they all came together and protected each other. It was truly amazing how 2 sets of best friends met another set of friends and they became an immediate family. Even the body guards and lover of another movie stars became instant family and protectors of the girls, especially Charlotte.
Tony scared me. Just reading about him, knowing he is fiction, made my skin crawl and want to hide away. I cannot imagine someone being that violent. Someone being that abusive. Someone being that much of a stalker. The fact that he was getting his information from someone close to Charlotte freaked me out even more. Their abusive relationship made me step back and look at violent relationships in a whole new light. I felt as if Charlotte was my friend and I wanted to protect her and let her know that she had my support. I also needed Tony to get caught so everyone’s lives could go back to semi-normalcy.
If you are a lover of hot, erotic stories this is the book for you. It touched on some tough subjects but Becca Siller did so with grace and respect for those that might have lived through what Charlotte did. I will recommend this book only to my adult friends as the subject matter is not something I would want a YA to read.
So I give this book a 3.5/5. What I liked: - the length was good... I can't even say how much books that are too short annoy me and turn me off. - the characters. They weren't cheesy (except maybe a time or two when they were like, "we are all a family", but that ties into the part that I didn't like. (See below) - switching POV's between Charlie and Wyatt. At first I didn't like it because the POV changes so frequently, but after a few chapters I actually appreciated it because other books that I've read that change POV's sometimes stay with one person too long. And there were no gaps between the characters, which was good. - I am going to include that I liked the cover. It's nice and simple. - I loved the plot. It was good and enjoyable and most of all, it worked. It transitioned well, and we are given a good amount of back story which plays an important role in the plot.
What I didn't like: - the one thing that I did not like about this book was the timing of events. I would've given the book a 4.25/5 had the timing of events been better. --- Charlie and Wyatt fall in love with each other far too quickly. It took days for their relationship to escalate to love and spending together forever in a matter of DAYS. I wish there relationship had been spread out over a longer period of time. (Weeks to months). It had me stopping at moments because it wasn't believable that two people were that serious about each other in a matter of days. --- also, a good portion of the book takes place over days, but suddenly time is moving faster, and weeks are going by. And there's one part at the end (I won't say what that was so as to not spoil the story) that is glossed over and I wished we could've delved deeper into it. -everyone suddenly falling in love... There can be single characters!
Conclusion: - I recommend this book. It was enjoyable, not at all dark like I expected, though there are dark parts. There is a good balance between funny banter, drama, and romance.
To Ms. Becca Siller, our dear author: ~ Keep writing! You are good and if you work on your writing (mainly the timing, but also the "everyone's falling in love bit") and you will be great. First novel in general for any new author (I have read many, many books) need work. And that's why I took the time to write you such a long review, because I want you to improve since you have great potential to eventually become a best selling author. And I sincerely look forward to the next in the series.

In the first installment of the Broken Road series we meet Charlie and Riley, best friends who decide to take a trip to Las Vegas to get away from Charlie's abusive ex-boyfriend. While there, they meet Wyatt, Miles and Jesse, actors who are taking a mini vacation from a movie that they are shooting.
Overall, I really enjoyed the storyline of the book. I connected well with all of the characters and each of the struggles that they were facing. I found myself feeling the same emotions they were going through as I was reading and couldn't wait to find out what happened next.
Despite my overall enjoyment of the book, there are a few main reasons I am only giving the book 3 stars. First off, the dialogue between the characters was very poorly written. Being 26 years old myself, like Charlie, I can't imagine conversations with my friends or significant others taking place the way the conversations in the book did. They just sounded very proper and almost forced. I often found myself thinking "Who says something like that?" as I would read pieces of a conversation. It was distracting from the overall feeling of the story. Secondly, the storyline races! We barely get a chance to know any of the characters before they are falling in love with each other (yes I realize this contradicts my statement about feeling the same emotions as the characters). As much as I enjoyed the book, I would have liked the opportunity to get to know more about the characters rather than just delve right into the drama. Lastly, I felt like the side story (Miles and Riley, Scott/Jesse/Darius) was too prominent. Give me more detail on Charlie & Wyatt while I am reading their story and give me the extra details about the other characters as the other books books come out. Maybe I'm just picky.
As I said before, overall I really enjoyed the story and I do plan on reading the next one to see how all of the character's stories pan out. Somehow, despite my picky details, I got sucked into the book and read it within 2 days and was excited knowing there was another to come.

Unfortunately, I cannot rate this one higher than 2 stars. The story had so much potential, but fell flat for me. One thing I struggled with was the lack of emotion in the book. The heroine fell in love and was dealing with a psychotic ex at the same time. However, I never once felt the fear, desire, or love. The author told us what the characters were feeling, but failed to make me as a reader feel it. The dialogue and internal monologue seemed immature at times and out of character given some of their histories. The timing - the falling in love of the characters may have been believable for one of the couples, but for everyone to truly fall in love with the heroine of the story within two days time and for their friends to fall in love with each other as well was unbelievable.
Again, I think this could have been something really good. With the proper tweaking it can be. Sadly though as is, it's a 2 star read for me.
I felt like this story had all the elements for a potentially great book. Girl needs to get away from her controlling ex-boyfriend and relax; boy is hot movie star who wants someone to love him for himself. They find themselves in Vegas with friends and connections are made. Unfortunately, this fell flat for me as I didn't find myself emotionally attached to any of the characters. There were also some elements of danger and romance. I really wanted to like this book more, however, I felt like there were actually too many story lines in one book to work for me.
This is a pretty good book. I wasn't thrilled with the first few chapters, thought the writing was ok and I really didn't like the fact all the main characters fell in love in the span of a few days. Way to much usage of the words babe and baby. I would recommend giving the book a chance if you're not thrilled with it at first. The story did better after about the 3rd chapter, the characters started to grow on me. I defiantly plan on reading the next book.
I really loved the content of this book, it had lots of drama and suspense as well as a new relationship developing. I adored all the background characters as well.
Charlie is fresh out of an abusive relationship and heads to Vegas with her BFF Riley for some R&R. Charlie never counted on meeting Wyatt or how strong their connection would be.
Charlie and Wyatt's relationship is on fire from the instant they meet and apart from a few initial bumps seems to be smooth sailing.
Charlie's abuser Tony is not going to let her go easily though and makes for some heartbreaking and hard to read scenes.
The book ends on a big cliff hanger leaving you screaming at you kindle and desperate for more.
Becca Siller really won me over with this book and for every emotionally heartbreaking scene she throws in a heart mending one. Can't wait to see where this story takes us next.
