Tetromet Universe

The Tetromet Tapes

Rate this book
In the next installment of his Tetromet Universe, Ezekiel Kincaid gives us a found footage horror story set in small town Louisiana. In the summer of 1990, five twelve year old boys find some VHS tapes in the trash can of their neighbor, Edgar Craddock. Mystery, intrigue, and unprecedented darkness surround the urban legends associated with Old Man Craddock. After retrieving the tapes, the boys gather at their leader, Jon Benson's house. The sickening footage leads the five friends down a rabbit hole of shadows and darkness, seeking to discover the truth around an ancient cult, a haunted road, and Edgar Craddock. Filled with visceral imagery, unrelenting tension, and heart pounding horror, Kincaid weaves a narrative reminiscent of a mixture between Stephen King's The Body and the V/H/S franchise. Tetromet Tapes brings found footage horror into the literary world, creating a new type of terror for fans of the unsettling and macabre. Welcome to a new form of nightmare fuel from the mind of The Paranormal Pastor.

Holy smokes! This story had me biting my nails in fear. Demons, found footage, creepy settings, disturbing cult. It was A LOT to take in.

I guess it’s true what they say about girls living longer than guys. Following the boys in this story I just kept saying “No no no!” They made soooo many bad decisions. I definitely think girls would’ve thought things through a bit more instead of daring each other to do semi dangerous things haha.

Looking forward to checking out some of the author’s other works as well; The Southern Discomfort series especially.

3.5* rounded up
This was a short read (just under 200 pages) following a group of young boys who come across some disturbing tapes. I enjoyed most of it, even when it got really weird. The ending wasn't the greatest, but it certainly wrapped it all up.

Great book! Set in the 90’s following a group of boys, hanging round the neighbourhood, looking for fun and things to do to fill their summer. The boys have a hostile relationship with the creepy neighbour, Old Man Craddock. They see him throw away some VHS tapes and of course need to know what’s on them, thing is it’s not what they thought the would find. It starts a domino effect, uncovering urban legends, strange cults and the truth about the creepy neighbour.

How much did I like this book? Well I immediately grabbed all of the other Tetromet stories that's how much. Creepy is an understatement, this book will give you the chills. I loved how well the author wrote the scenes of watching the video tapes, it was like I was watching them too. Can't wait to read more of Tetromet!

Kincaid never disappoints if you're looking for a gruesome story with a spiritual spin! The found footage aspect of this story wormed it's way into my brain, and I adored the cast of characters that brought to mind the members of The Losers Club. Having read his trilogy featuring Theodosia and the Tetromet, the tie-in here was a great touch as well!

Set in the 90’s, a group of friends find some old VHS tapes that were thrown out by their creepy neighbor. This leads them on a wild journey to discover the hidden, terrifying secrets of their town.
A great, creepy read which had me anxious to know what was going to be on the next page.
The one thing that really jumped out here is the dialogue and banter between the friends, it was really well written and really sucked me into the story and made me feel like I was part of their terrifying adventure.
I will 100% be checking out more books by the author!

Thank you to the author and the publisher or publishers for all your hard work! I'm leaving this review voluntarily and happily!

This book was definitely worth the read. Getting into it, i enjoyed the slow build-up and suspense. It's not immediately right in your face, death, and disaster. That comes later. What I liked most I think is that it's not adults but kids at the start of their summer, and it's shenanigans gone terribly wrong. It also makes you think if something like this was to happen to you, what would you do?

A group of five boys get these tapes and watch what's on them. What's on them, we'll that's for you to find out. What happens afterward is disturbing and blood filled. Death, gore, and the unnatural, but is there any good, or is it all bad? Read to find out.

The chapters are long even, so I really enjoyed reading this book and learning about each of the characters. Not only that, but the build-up is worth it. Taking the time to read this is definitely worth it, and the book is medium paced, in my opinion, so it is a well-rounded book, in my opinion. I definitely recommend this to others interested in the supernatural and the occult.

Thank you to the author for giving me the ARC.

This was my first book to read by D&T Publishing and wow! This book was so engaging and creepy! Love this author's style as well. I couldn't put it down! This isn't a gore soaked book (though there is certainly enough to consider it horror) but when the scenes do show up, they show up hard and visceral, and carry a shock factor and are well placed. Highly recommend this book for fans of found footage and coming of age horror.

A mix of found footage, urban legend, and the burbs ramped up to eleven, this story is a fun and gruesome trip back to the 80s, with a group of friends trying to find proof of an evil cult that has taken over their town. A good, easy read and well worth trying out!

A group of teenage boys tell tales about the old man across the street. Nothing could have prepared them for the real horror. A mix of found footage, cult and religion and coming of age make an awesome tale that I didn't want to end

I loved this book, I couldn’t put it down. I am not sure how it’s not more popular, it was great from start to finish. It’s a short read and exciting the whole time.
