I was fascinated when I first saw that this book was even a thing. Super up-to-date considering it was just published last year and there are so many artifacts within its pages. I originally assumed it would be reminiscent of my time in AP Art History, if it was solely focused on one of my most special interests: all things Marvel. As I started reading, however, I began to realize that it wasn't so much about the dates of the pieces or the artist or the medium and the colors and the context.

Yes, some of that information was provided if possible, but the entire book almost acted like a woven tapestry of somewhat linked objects or events that transcribed and summarized every MCU movie or project that had been released up to 2024. I do wonder how they narrowed it down to only 100 objects. I think my favorite has to be the Guardians of the Galaxy mixtape, which was my first hook into the MCU with some of the best musical accompaniment to boot. Truly, the last week of reading through this book has felt less like learning about artifacts than recapping the majority of the MCU story to date. I recommend this book to MCU nerds like myself, but please do let me know if you find any inconsistencies.
