I was born and raised in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Wanting to escape life in a big city and concentrate more on working to live than living to work, I moved to the Outer Hebrides in the north-west of Scotland in 2004 and I have lived there ever since with my wife and dogs.
I write post-apocalyptic, sci-fi, dystopian and horror fiction. I’ve released fifty one books across six different series - Safe Haven, The End of Everything, Unsafe, Relentless, The Burning Tree and Scares in Scotland.
In addition, most of my titles are now available as audiobooks narrated by Kim Bretton, so if you’re one of the many people who struggle to find the time to read, you can listen on the go.

Christopher Artinian has done it again! How can one book make you laugh, make you cry, make you want to give someone a hug and make you want to off someone while reading the pages?
Callie and the other citizens of Redemption are preparing for the worst: an attack by Salvation guards working at the behest of one man on a power trip. Little do they realize that this attack might come from ordinary people just like them who are only doing his bidding in an attempt to save their family members. When some of the characters I have come to know and love are killed, I railed against the unfairness of the whole situation! Even though these are fictional characters in a book, I feel like they have become my friends as I follow their journey. Be sure to have some tissues handy while reading this one!
The book is full of Mr. Artinian's trademark witty dialogue, great characters and a bit of education along the way. Of course, there is plenty of action and terrifying moments as beloved characters put themselves in danger at every turn. I truly enjoy the growth and character development in this series, turning some truly evil people into someone you would love to get to know as they discover their true selves.
I especially enjoyed all of the spy-type references as characters are revealed to be part of a rebellion within Salvation. The descriptions of how messages were passed were truly unique and entertaining.
As always, the narrator, Kim Bretton, has brought this book to life. Her individual voices for each character really moves the story along at a fast pace and her performance adds a lot to an already great book.
Mr. Artinian has created a plausible world, filled with great characters. This book has plenty of action and is filled with emotion. I highly recommend this one to anyone who enjoys post-apocalyptic fiction (or just a great story!).
Wow, what a way to end a series. Or is it? There are some threads left at the end that makes me think, hmmm. Maybe not? 🤔🤔 Guess I'll have to see.
There wasn't too much about book 7 that I didn't like. It has plenty of action as we bounce between Redemption, Infinity, and Salvation. People who we thought might have turned their backs on the freedom fighters didn't. Of course, how could you see all the horror going on around you and not want to change it. Salvation is a nightmare.
There were also a lot of heart-wrenching moments and I had tears in my eyes several times as I read along. Some were tears for people we knew who ended up dying, and some were happy tears for the people who found their way to a better life.
What I didn't like was mostly editing issues. Like not knowing when the subject matter changed and it should have been a new paragraph. There's a lot of that in this book. I don't remember it being this bad in the other ones. There isn't mention of an editor inside the book, so I think it's self-edited. Maybe he needs to get a proper one next time.
If you love dystopian stories that will keep you on the edge of your seat with heart in your throat, you need to read this series. I give it 5 stars.
Audiobook: I was so captivated by the events in this story that I listened to the audiobook in one sitting. I admired the way the characters were written as my imagination was so drawn into this story, that I felt the characters' pain as they coped with their struggles and their losses. I liked the underlying theme which Callie summed up in one of her persuasive speeches. I thought Kim Bretton's narration added a depth of emotional appeal with her expressive performance. I was gifted a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which included my honest opinions regarding this story.
This eagerly awaited instalment delivered a fast paced and action packed read full of dramatic suspense, pulse pounding intensity and a higher than normal body count! I cried at the loss of all the characters like long lost friends, but I know I'll meet them again when I reread the series again. so the question is what's next for redemption, whatever it is I can't wait to find out I'm sure I won't be disappointed!
Love this series so much. Christopher is amazing at writing interesting characters and making you love them all. They are brilliantly smart, loving, sarcastic and fun. You want them as your friends. The people are uprising in the bunker and some of these struggles and fighting to survive may come to an end. This could easily have been the last in the series but I hope it’s not. Phil is still young favorite character and I love how much he has grown. Kim Bretton is my favorite narrator.
Absolutely fantastic. Christopher Artinian. You are a brilliant Author of apocalyptic disasters. Long May your books be written, published and read. This series has had everything, great characters, great storylines, hero’s and heroines. Bad evil guys, out for all the power they can take.
Another gripping storyline from the very first page, struggle to get time to read these days but I grabbed every spare second I could find to devour this book. As usual Chris has written a brilliant (if not slightly ruthless) story and can’t wait to see what lies ahead. Definitely recommend anything this man writes
The character building in this series is excellent you can really feel the characters love or hate them. I feel there is one glaring hole in the whole story….why didn’t they fish if there was sharks there must have been other fish as well, maybe they were vegetarians. But other than that a nice little series. Thank you
Mind blowing awesome series! No spoilers but at times I was very upset, very happy, laughing or crying. That’s what Christopher Artinian books do to you. Absolutely brilliant
As always, an excellent addition to this series. I am always amazed at the depth this collection brings each and every episode in this series. Great Work Christopher.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. So much was happening and my heart was beating so fast, I kept thinking something would go wrong and lose some of my favourites. Another great book by Chris
Artinian has again written a character driven, emotionally charged tale that will have you on the edge of your seat. This book puts you through the emotional wringer. I shed tears over the loss of many of the characters I had grown to care about, anger at Bucks and his minions in Salvation and happiness at karma being served to those deserving it. I highly recommend this book and series.
Mr Artinian is a true master when it comes to writing. The 7th book in The Burning Tree series is another brilliant story. Grab the tissues and prepare for a wild ride where the good must take on one power hungry man. Really great storyline that keeps going from strength to strength. Well done !
Another amazing book from a wonderful author!!! Perfection! It definitely made me tear up a few times. It makes me wish for an apocalypse so the people can be strong and turn the world around to something simpler and more peaceful.
Another stellar addition to the series When the settlement gets infiltrated, they must devise a plan in order to maintain freedom once and for all Kim’s narration never fails to enhance your enjoyment Consistently entertaining I can’t recommend Chris’s work more 5stars
A great end to what is a fantastic series of books. Full of suspense and a roller coaster of a ride from start to finish. Enjoy the series immensely and so well written. Thanks for the ride Chris 👍
I have been waiting for this book and to know what happens next but I have taken my time getting to read it because I didn’t want to wait to long for Mr Artinian’s next book, whichever the series.
