It was interesting to read how women were able to get involved in learning about farming and the rural industries historically. Sad that they weren't allowed access to universities for some time.
Its interesting from a cultural perspective, though it is quite a bland read in parts - I had a bit of an interest in it but not really enough to continually keep my attention. It does go into some detail and its commendable from a historical context, with details about peoples daily schedules/routines etc.
I'd quite like to have seen more in the way of photos and documentation, personally.
