This version of the Arabian Nights did have Scheherazade and some tales the other version did not.
One was Prince Ahmed and the Fairy Pari Bhanu which had reference to a flying carpet. Looking it up, it seems like the concept arose from many cultures though. Don't think I'm going to search out any more because I didn't particularly enjoy any.
