i thought o found a book with a prison trope in it that was good but i dnfed this book. they were together 50% of the way through so then i was bored. it was a mafia boss who fell for the student interviewing him. i had high hopes but gos bored

A wonderful mafia romance book that is a great page turner that has outstanding characters and a perfect spicy romance that has a happily ever after ending.
A grad student who lost her parents when she was young is studying a mafia don that’s in prison and has arranged to have a meeting with him, she has studied for a long while. Before she met the mafia don she was having dreams of the man and after she meets him she knows that her world has changed. She promises the mafia don that she will return but the grad student winds up not being allowed to see the mafia don again and her studying him is taken from her so it’s hard for her to finish her thesis at the time.
The grad student has been learning how to fight with the help of her instructor, who is a young man. The two have become close during this time but she keeps certain things to herself.
The grad student is running in the park when she is attacked by someone who she thought looked similar to the mafia don, the way she gets free of her attacker is by cutting him with the knife that she carries for protection.
The mafia don has gotten himself into alot of trouble but he can’t stay in prison anymore, the only thing he can think about is getting back to his empire and to see the grad student. After he gets out he sneaks into the grad students apartment to find her beaten and bruised, they talk for a bit before he leaves.
To get the mafia don to come back to her she makes a date with the young man who is her instructor for self defense. This is not their first date but the first one she left abruptly but with this only she stays during all of it. When they get to her apartment she thinks that she may be able to see herself with this young man, they kiss before he leaves so she can think about everything. Not long after the mafia don returns to her apartment where he takes her giving her oral sex. But the mafia don leaves.
A new neighbor stops by her apartment and they start talking and drinking, they start getting really close. They hear a noise and her door bursts open, two Russians are there and they go after them. One hits the new neighbor in the head knocking her out and the second goes after her, without another thought she grabs for her knife and stabs it into the Russians throat the second Russian goes after her, the door opens again and it's the mafia don. The mafia don shoots the Russia who's going after the grad student.
They go to the neighbor’s apartment and the grad student helps her neighbor. The three start talking and the neighbor agrees. The mafia don was planning on killing the neighbor but the grad student talks him into saving her life, he has his second watch over the neighbor.
The mafia don takes the grad student to his hotel room where he goes and cleans her up in the tub and when they go to the shower they start kissing and soon they have sex after he takes her to the bedroom but he doesn’t make her his just yet. They go to sleep together.
Soon he goes to see his brother and the rest of the families who make up the syndicate that the mafia don was the head of until his brother took it over. The brother tries to upset the mafia don in front of the families but the only one who gets upset is the brother. The mafia don leaves before anything can get started. The mafia don’s brother wants to force him into leaving and give him money to live on but the mafia don won’t leave his empire.
Not long after he gets back from the meeting the grad student wakes up and finds that two men have broken into the hotel room where they are at. After the two men are dead they gather their things and move to a safe house outside of the city in the woods. During their time there they have sex as well as he leaves her there a couple of times for meeting with other mafia leaders to gain their alliance. Not long after the mafia don makes her his and they both tell each other that they love one another.
The mafia don also finds information for the grad student about the man who killed her parents. The mafia don brings to the cabin that they are staying in files of all the information he has on the mafia families plus information on other mafia groups and other people. They both make up a plan to get his empire back in his control.
One of the times he leaves without telling him she goes to find her parents' killer. She first goes and rents a car before she goes to the killer’s address where she finds the killer. They fight and she gets hurt but when he stops to look at her she shoots him between the eyes. The grad student goes to her friend’s apartment and when they are about to leave the young man is at her apartment door, they all leave together. They go to the cabin and the grad student and the young man talk but they can do anything the door opens and the young man gets shot, dead.
The two women are taken and wind up in a white room cuffed to beds but the neighbor gets herself free and goes to help the grad student. They get one hand free before some guys show up. The grad student has the neighbor give her a syringe and go back to where she was at before. The grad student kills a guy that was to watch her. They get her free and grabs the dead guy’s rifle and gun. They leave the room to find the mafia don.
The mafia don figures out what his brother is planning on doing. The mafia don has his men leave except for his second and the Irish mafia leader who he has help him. The mafia don has his second look for the grad student and the neighbor to get them out of the place. He has the Irish leader to help him with the rest of his plan.
The second finds the two women but the grad student runs off. She runs into a large room, she watches the mafia don and the brother talk but she gets grabbed and taken to the brother. The two brothers talk back and forth before the mafia don gets shot. Gunfire erupts and the grad student gets free of the brother running to the mafia don where she holds him, they talk and she gets grabbed again by the second who drugs her.
She wakes up in a warm room that is in the Italian style, soon the neighbor comes in and the neighbor informs her about everything as well as the mafia don giving her everything. The grad student becomes the new mafia don and the neighbor is her confidant. The new mafia don gets better and misses the man she fell in love with everyday.
The old mafia don is taken by his men to a doctor who tends to his gunshot. The old mafia don finds his brother and takes him to the cabin in the woods and kills him. He starts to get everything ready for his return.
The new mafia don is taken to the hospital due to her fainting. The old mafia don goes to the hospital, he pays the doctor to find out what is wrong with the new mafia don before he goes to her room. At first the new mafia don doesn’t believe he is real but she soon finds out that he is, the two kiss and he informs her about her pregnancy.
The two are wed and even though people think he is dead he helps her rule the mafia. They can’t wait for their baby to come. The two love each other very much. They have sex, they lay with one another and he has her sleep.

Ugh
I had high hopes for this book, but then another female has to something unbelievably stupid and cause a war. Every mafia book is the same. Why can't women in these books be strong and fix the problems instead of causing them by being stupid?

This action-packed mafia romance had me from the first page. Anna is a grad student that is studying criminal law and has become obsessed with the man she is researching. Her life changes when she meets him, and they make a connection. Ale is determined to have Anna in his life and once he is freed their path begins one that is filled with chaotic twists and turns created by Ale's younger brother and his connections to keep Ale from returning to power. Will Ale succeed to claim his throne with Anna by his side.

Thus is the 9th book I have read in the collection (not in order), and so far, the best book by far!!!!!
Listen, I love smutt just as much as the next girl, however, I also love a good plot, something that goes beyond the romance going on. And boy, that this book have it.
I was totally captivated by it and could barely let it go. Highly recommended 👌 👍 👏 💯 🙌

Not good
This book was disappointing. The dialogue and the characters were strange for a mafia man the MMC was really lame he spent five years in prison and then went crazy when he saw the reporter the MFC through the glass. The characters and situations were so unrealistic. I just couldn't finish it.

favourite mafia romance
I saw a bunch of edits for this book on TikTok and I’m so glad I finally read it. This is is my favourite book it’s got the right balance of spice/plot and characters a little cheesy at points but really good one if you enjoy instalove romances

wow!!!!
This book definitely kept me in the edge of my seat the entire time. I did not see any of the twists or turns coming at all!!!!! This is definitely in the top ten on my list. To think I might not have found this book makes me sad.

Ale? Realy?
I loved this book from start to the end, very good story, very good charcters but Ale as short form for Alessandro? Realy? It is so not manly for a ruthless, very smart, very man mafia boss. Alex or Sandro or what ever would have been better.

It was an interesting mafia story to say the least ♥️ if it made me cry it must’ve done something right. Overall, it was a good story.
