"Summer Beach has a way of helping people find what they need, even if it’s not what they were looking for."

With renovations underway, Ivy, Bennett, Shelly,Mitch and the family are in the middle of dusty discovery and another facet in the Amelia Erickson story

When a library proposal is shelved due to lack of funding. Ivy's dream of a cultural center deflates. However, a phantasmagorical book mobile arrives about the same time and its owner and librarian Libby give her a second wind.

While uncovering antique built-ins during renovation, yet another discovery is unearthed which could help the whole community. But no spoilers. You'll just have to read and find out.

I have been a fan of Jan Moran for forever. I have read everything she has written. One of the things about this series and her other two spin-offs is that you really don't have to have read the others to catch on with the stories. However, you ought to. Highly Recommended 5/5

Since the library in Summer Beach burned down Ivy has been petitioning the town council to allocate funds for a new library. Unfortunately, they don't have the funds and this puts Ivy and her husband Bennett on opposing sides of the issue since he is the mayor of Summer Beach.

Then, a bookmobile driven by librarian Libby arrives in Summer Beach and becomes the toast of the seaside town. All of the residents visit the bookmobile when it is parked outside of Java Beach (Mitch's coffee shop). Every time someone tries to ask Libby about her past she avoids the questions. What is Libby's true motive for coming to Summer Beach?

Ivy is renovating the Seabreeze Inn and stumbles upon an old book case which holds architectural plans for a library and museum. There is a series of numbers on the back of the plans which might be the key to solving the newest treasure left by Amelia Erickson.

Notes below the line are for me to remember this book.
-------------------------------------------

1. Ivy and her nephew Reed (contractor) find a bookcase hidden in the wall during the renovation of the Seabreeze Inn. The plans are for a library and museum. During Ivy's investigation she learns that the numbers on the back of the architectural plans are a numbered Swiss bank account. After several phone calls she is put in touch with Viola's grandson Andrew who is an attorney. He helps Ivy navigate the Swiss bank account. Ivy contacts Lea who is the great-great niece of Amelia Erickson and the heir to the Erickson fortune. Lea is very wealthy and gave Ivy the Seabreeze Inn and then signs over the money in Amelia's Swiss bank account to Ivy for the building and operation of the Summer Beach Library and Museum.

2. Ivy, Shelley, Poppy, and new comer Libby organize a book fest to raise money to go toward the bookmobile and library. Libby's secret is she is running away from her abusive boyfriend. Amani Jones (lawyer turned florist) helps Libby with the continuation of the restraining order she had taken out on her boyfriend when living in Phoenix. Libby and Reed seem to be interested in each other as do Poppy and Andrew.

Ivy Bay and her sister Shelly are getting ready to close the Seabreeze Inn to do some major renovations before the summer season begins. They are waiting for the last guest to check out when they get a request for just the weekend. How can they say no? When the new guest arrives, she is driving a book mobile. Can this be a coincidence that the Summer Beach Library needs to be rebuilt and a librarian has just arrived in town? As the resident’s rally around the new book mobile, Ivy, Shelly and Poppy take on a new task, working together to convince town council they need the new library. This endeavour could take years, but when the renovations start, the old inn may give them just what they need once again.

Jan Moran brings us another delightful new chapter in the Summer Beach series with this amazing novel. I am blown away each time I pick up one of her books and the story has me captured on the very first page. The characters are so lovable yet complex and she blends their stories seamlessly while taking us on another new adventure. Add in a touch of mystery and some new characters and I could not put this one down. My sincere thanks to Jan Moran for my advanced copy which I voluntarily read and reviewed. This is one of my all-time favourite series friends. Come join the fun in Summer Beach.

Like Catching Up With Your Best Friends!

Jan Moran is a most excellent writer! Her Seabreeze Series is like catching up with your best bud from college or your cousin that lives across the country. Jan makes every single character so real they could walk right out of the pages to sit down with you for coffee!
The Seabreeze Inn is getting a much needed facelift with all the bells & whistles that make the cozy inn your home away from home. Poppy took in one last forlorn guest because everything was booked up in town. When Ivy went to make sure the new guest was comfortable, the guest started asking about Seabreeze Inn and all the magnificent discoveries that have been made there. The guest even asked about the Inn's former owner Amelia, which made Ivy uncomfortable for some reason. Thinking this was just another crazy treasure hunter, Ivy shut down this line of questioning as politely as she could. When Poppy and Shelly asked about the guest, Ivy inturn started inquiring what Poppy knew about the guest since she was the one that checked her in.
Poppy promised to find out and let Ivy know what she found out.
If you have read the earlier ten books in the series, you know that Ivy's husband Bennett is Summer Beaches mayor and he takes that challenge seriously. As serious as he is about the town, his marriage to Ivy took first place in his heart. Ivy has been on a mission to bring a library back to Summer Beach. The old library was attached to a building that burned down. The people from town tried to save as much as they could, but that didn't leave a space for all the other areas people use the library for. Ivy graciously opened the Inn up for a place where book clubs could meet, where tutors helped students, children's story time but with the Inn closing for renovations, now even that area was closed to library patrons. So like most everything else Ivy feels strongly about she spearheaded a campaign to get a library in town. After being turned down twice at city board meetings, Ivy felt the weight of finding funds for the library deep in her heart. It even was starting to drive a tiny wedge between Ivy and her mayor husband, who was so sorry he couldn't give funding for a library but the budget was set. As with all things Ivy feels so strongly about, when there is a will there is a way and she was about to find that might come very differently than where she was looking....Every town needs a library it is important for every member of Summer Beach. So read along as you will find out whether Ivy has met a match she cannot win or will there be surprises no one could foresee. Also why was the guest asking all her questions? Can they be trusted? Read book 11 for a wonderful read back home in Summer Beach!! Jan Moran will keep you guessing and you will enjoy every word of this continuing series!!! I for one can't wait for book twelve!!

Having read all of the books of the Summer Beach series, coming back to the Seabreeze and the protagonists of the stories, Ivy and and Shelley, feels like visiting all friends and catching up on their lives. This book definitely resonates with the situation here in the United States and the cutting of the federal funds to the National Library system because Ivy has been trying to get funds from the town board to get funds for a new library for the town, since the old one got burned down. The story emphasizes the importance of a community library for a town and for every citizen of the town, regardless of the age.
Ivy and Shelley are closing down the inn for renovations during which they find a treasure, as it always happens with this house, a map of the library and art museum that Amelia wanted to build for the community of Summer Beach. Would it be possible for Ivy fulfill Amelia's dream and build this spectacular building?
And who really is the young woman that came to the Inn in a bookmobile?
There are other mysteries to solve, don't want to give spoilers here, but as always this book is full of love, friendship and the willingness to help one another that characterize Ja Moran's books and makes them amazing books to read.

Another great Seabreeze Inn story . It's a series but can be a standalone. Small town community rallies together. Good storyline, I really enjoyed it.

Seabreeze Library was a 3 1/2 star read for me. Always enjoy returning to town and to its inhabitants to see what’s happening. Hoping some of the loose ends - Libby and her past, for example - are picked up in the next in the series. Didn’t feel like a cliffhanger ending but that was a significant storyline left wide open and keeping me curious.

The Summer Beach series is a perfect getaway when you can’t get away! Seabreeze Library is the 11th installment of this delightful series, and I loved every minute. I’ve read the entire series, as well as Ms. Moran’s other two beach series, Coral Cottage and Crown Island. While each book in a series can be read as a standalone, part of the fun has been to spend time with well-written and interesting characters, and see how their lives continue to unfold, so I highly recommend reading all three series. All three series are about family, friendships, relationships, starting over, and the power of community.

There’s lots going on in Summer Beach and the Seabreeze Inn. Ivy, the proprietor of the Inn, is finally getting to do some much-needed renovations. As construction begins, they discover cabinets that had been hidden behind a wall and within one of those cabinets are decades-old plans for a library and art museum that was to be funded by the original owners of the Inn (formerly a private residence). Ivy’s dream has been to replace the city’s library that had been destroyed in a fire, but as her husband, the mayor, has repeatedly told her, the city simply does not have the funds. Finding the architectural drawings, and a slip of paper that could be a long-forgotten bank account, breathes new life into her dreams. At the same time, a young woman named Libby arrives in town in her bookmobile, and is looking to start her life anew. The townspeople enthusiastically support the bookmobile and the young librarian. Maybe the planets are aligning.

The story moves along at a good pace, with enough hurdles and challenges to keep the reader invested in the outcome. I especially liked the storyline about the importance of libraries in all communities, big and small, especially considering current funding cuts and the banning of certain books in schools and libraries. Ms. Moran takes a light touch and stays away from anything political, but, through her words, we are reminded about how important the written word is for everyone, regardless of age. Thank you to the author for the opportunity to read the advanced readers’ copy. I’m happy to write this honest review, and all opinions are my own.

This series gets better with each book. Each book introduces another creative idea that Ivy and Shelly need to find a way to work into their lives. All of this goes back to the original owner of the Seabreeze Inn, Amelia Erickson. This time, Ivy is pushing for Summer Beach to replace the library that burnt down a while ago. Unfortunately, funding isn’t available from the local, state, or federal government. Ivy isn’t one to give up, so she starts looking for new ideas.

While all of this is going on, the Seabreeze Inn is undergoing major construction update. The inn is closing down to help the process move along more quickly. Of course, surprises await as walls come down.

This was such a wonderful read. I truly feel like the characters in the book have become good friends. They all step in to support Ivy as she works to make a library a reality. It’s a big undertaking, but Ivy is up to it.

This book has a bit of a dark side when a new character, Libby, comes into town. She has lost her job and has been running from the domestic abuse of her boyfriend. Libby is a wonderful addition to this series, and I look forward to seeing her return, hopefully, in future books. If I have one small complaint about this book, it's that the reader never finds out who was calling the inn looking for Libby. There's a person mentioned who might have been behind the call, but the question is never actually answered. A small thing, but it's there.

In the pages of this volume, you’ll find family, friendship, and a community coming together to achieve an goal that’s important to almost everyone in town. There’s that hint of paranormal that Amelia brings, but it’s significantly less than other entries in this series have offered. Still, it appears that Amelia provides the nudges required to make things happen and keep her former beloved home safe and functioning under Ivy's excellent management.

This was a delight to read, and I highly recommend it.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book from the author. I thank her for her generosity, but it had no effect on this review. All opinions in this review reflect my true and honest reactions to reading this book.

This is book eleven in The Summer Beach series and it continues Ivy and Shelly’s story at The Seabreeze Inn. The Seabreeze Inn is going through a lot of renovations and it needed to be completed as quickly as possible so that they don’t lose too much money especially as summer season was approaching and then a woman arrived in her mobile library vehicle but she seems to hiding secrets especially when she starts asking questions that are a bit uncomfortable and out of the left field and Ivy starts to wonder what is going on and what is she hiding because it is making things complicated and uncomfortable. When another surprise is discovered while doing the renovations at the inn and comes along with a few shocks, disappointments and hope, will everything eventually come together and give Summer Beach exactly what the town wants and needs or will everything fall apart leaving a lot of broken dreams behind. Wow I absolutely love this book and series so much as each story fills you with total wonder with all the history, descriptions and places and it leaves you feeling as if you are not only living through it all and also being part of the community while cheering them all along because this town has some amazing people who have great characters and they support and raise everyone’s spirits while doing so much good for the town and it’s people that live there or visit. I read this book in one sitting because I just couldn’t put it down as it was so addictive and kept my attention throughout. Jan Moran is a amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to pull her readers into her stories and have them engaged while turning the pages and her books are definitely worth reading and you will not be disappointed and I can’t wait to read more books in the future.

Jan Moran has done it again—"Seabreeze Library” is like a warm hug wrapped in sunshine and sprinkled with a little mystery!

As a lifelong book lover, this story spoke straight to my heart. Ivy’s dream of creating a library in the heart of Summer Beach had me cheering from the first page, and when a whimsical bookmobile rolled into town—well, I was completely charmed!

There’s just the right mix of old secrets, new beginnings, and cozy community vibes that make this the perfect weekend read. And honestly, who wouldn’t want to renovate a beachside inn while solving a decades-old mystery and falling a little more in love with life?

Even if you haven’t read the rest of the series (though you totally should!), this book feels like coming home. I laughed, I got misty-eyed, and I seriously considered googling “how to start a bookmobile.”

Five stars for friendship, family, and the magical healing power of books. Life is better in Summer Beach.

The struggle to rebuild and once again the Inn reveals a secret

Seabreeze Library is the eleventh book in the Summer Beach series, which is set in the Seabreeze world. The overarching story-line of this series continues as it finds Ivy and Shelly Bay meeting Kara, a newcomer to town. The whole story revolves around the Seabreeze Library, which had burned down and the struggle to rebuild it. As it turns out the Inn reveals another secret that just may help move things along. Kara has left town and has now returned after inheriting her grandmother's bookstore. She has always loved books so she converted a bus into a movable library. Coming back to Seabreeze will mean she has to come to terms with her past, relationships and what her future may hold.
As always this is yet another exceptional book in the series. You do have to read the previous books, as the previous story-line and characters are involved heavily. But this world is like a warm hug on a cool day....just what you can relax into.

A Bookmobile arriving in Summer Beach sets the wheels in motion for a long-wanted dream to come true. The Summer Beach library burned down and the residents were saddened to realize the town had no funds for a new one. When Libby, the owner of the Bookmobile, asks to stay on for a few days, Summer Beach residents once again have access to a library and realize just how much they’ve missed it.

During the Seabreeze Inn renovation, Ivy and the work crew discover another secret hidden in the walls of the home that art lover Amelia Erickson owned. Could this be an answer to their prayers for a new library?

New friends and old unite in this heartwarming story of the strengths of a small town and its residents.

N.B. I received a review copy of this title from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. The words above are my own.

I always love having books to read that are what I call "just for fun" kind of books - ones with a nice ending, good characters, a good story and I can usually read it in 1-2 days. Jan Moran's Seabreeze Inn series fits this bill for me, and I have enjoyed each book in this series as they are published. If you've read any of her books in this series you already know that they involve a very old inn that holds many secrets from its past, which come to light in each of the books. Seabreeze Library continues this theme and I enjoyed this latest discovery very much! I look forward to the next book in the series so I can go to my happy place again! Thanks to the author for an advanced copy of this book to read and share my review for others.

Summer Beach needs a library, but the city cannot afford to fund it. Just when Liz is almost ready to give up her dream of helping the community have a library, in rolls a bookmobile! And not just any bookmobile. It is cleverly decorated for children and adults alike and filled with wonderful books for all. But the mysterious young woman driving the bookmobile has her own secret and seems much too interested in the Seabreeze Inn to Liz’s liking.
Anyone who grew up loving a library will find this book a delightful treasure (hint hint). Find out the secret treasure that the walls of the old inn holds and how the dream of Liz can bring joy to the community of Summer Beach. I voluntarily read and am reviewing this book from the author.

This is the latest book in the Summer Beach series and is a nice, simple clean novel with a little bit of mystery or two. It concentrates on the lives of older two sisters, Ivy and Shelly who are trying to rebuild a small California coastal town in the way it should be, with the help of their husbands, families and residents of the town. When a book bus comes into town with an interesting strange could this be the answer to a have a temporary library while they look to rebuild one or could it lead to more than that as new things are discovered in the remodeling on the inn. I haven’t read this authors book before so it was coming into the series end not the beginning. But that actually worked out well, as it shows it wasn’t necessary to read right from the start.

Once again, Jan Moran has delivered a warm and inviting novel, filled with vivid descriptions of the beach, the town, and all the Summer Beach characters that we have grown to love. In Seabreeze Library we are introduced to Kara, who inherits her grandmother’s bookstore, the Seabreeze Library, a beloved local treasure. As Kara returns to the childhood hometown, she uncovers secrets that force her to confront her past, personal relationships, and the future of the bookstore. The book flows at a comfortable pace with enough twists and turns to keep the reader hooked!

Ivy has a dream of building a true library even if the town can’t support even a small library- how she is going to do this is a mystery even to her but she had a vibe that she is going to be successful in this endeavor.
The remodeling at the inn is full steam ahead and they discover some covered up cabinets and in them are some detailed drawings of a library and art center along with a receipt that has an address and a series of numbers that all lead Ivy to a new search and the hopes for her dream of the library.
I received an advance copy from the author and truly enjoyed this book.

This was another installment for the Sea Breeze Inn. Again, a fast read. I enjoyed reconnecting with my old friends, the Bay family, and all of the others that join along the way.

The ending was exceptional and I found that my eyes were leaking quite a bit! There are many twists and turns, but we end up just where we are meant. There are a few new characters that fit in with the "old" bunch quite well. Pretty soon I will need a Playbill to keep all of them straight. LOL.

Once again Amelia Erickson works her magic on helping to guide Ivy to unearth hidden treasures inside of Seabreeze Inn. While Ivy sets about to do major renovations on the Inn, she is also busy with trying to persuade the City Council, which her husband, Bennett, is in charge of, to build a library to replace the one that was lost. Enter a mystery woman who arrives in town driving a book mobile, which is an instant hit with the town. Love following the path that Ivy takes to renovate her Inn and her fight to build what she knows is desperately needed in Summer Beach.

I loved this book. As a former president of a friends of the library group this book spoke to me. It told an entertaining story while showcasing the many benefits of having a community library. Having read all the books in this series it was nice to revisit the characters and catch up with their lives. This is a timely story in light of the news stories about the cuts of federal funding for libraries. I highly recommend it.

Seabreeze Library, blends small oceanside town charm, clean romance, and mystery as sisters Ivy and Shelly renovate their inn and encounter a book-loving traveler. The discovery of a new mystery during renovations and the town's efforts to rebuild their library add intrigue to this heartwarming story. Moran's vivid descriptions of Summer Beach create such an immersive and inviting reading experience that I feel like I’m right on a sun-kissed California beach .

The old library was damaged when a fire broke out in the restaurant next door. Ivy has been trying to get City Hall to approve funds to build a new library. We meet Libby, a traveling librarian with a bookmobile. Will Ivy get funding for a new library? Who is Libby and what is she hiding? Will Amelia Erickson's plan for a library and funding be found? Loved catching up with all the people in Summer Beach.

Another wonderful chapter to the Seabreeze story. Following along with Ivy on her B&B adventure just gets better and better. I don’t want to give any spoilers away. If you are looking for a series to get your teeth into then this is for you. I think you could still enjoy this book as a stand alone but I suggest you start with book 1 and work your way through. It’s such an interesting series. I feel like I know these people. Jan is a wonderful story teller.
