Marjorie/Jori (h) manages her brother Colby’s career as the grumpy meteorologist on a national morning show and knew it wouldn’t be easy, but she never expected to be dragged into a storm-chasing bet between Colby and his one-time best friend now turned rival, Oscar/Oz (H). Determined to keep Colby safe and prove herself, Jori joins Oz on a cross-country chase, dodging deadly weather and trying to keep her crush on him under control. Oz wants to keep Jori safe, even if it means losing the bet, but they still manage to end up in the heart of a once-in-a-century storm aimed straight for Mercury Ridge. The two must have to decide if they can find a calm after the storm, or if the turbulent past will blow them apart, even as things heat up between the two. Fun to see Colby and Petra again. Hot and steamy storm chaser quickie with a side of danger, drama, and family angst.

Stirring up more than the eye of the storm.

The Daring Storm Chaser is the second book in the Love in a Storm series. This story is about Marjorie Raynes and Oz Metzer. Both characters were part of the first book, The Grumpy Storm Chaser, as Marjorie is the younger sister of Colby "The Grumpy Weatherman" Raynes, and Oz is Colby's former best friend. The bet is on between Oz and Colby to see who gets the better video of the once in a century storm about to hit. Marjorie is determined to stop the bet one way or another. When Colby won't pull out she goes to Oz, the man who she grew up with a huge crush on. When Oz won't pull out of the bet she instead gets him to take her with him, hoping that she can navigate them in circles. What she does not know is that Oz will never put her in danger....one because Colby would kill him and two because he has loved her for years. But Marjorie and Oz do end up in a situation that is more dangerous than the eye of the storm which is heading directly for them. Just wait though until Colby finds out what has been happening.
This is the second book I have read by the author and after reading the first I knew I wanted to read the rest of this series, to find out what happens to the characters. I laughed at times, as Marjorie's inner dialogue is great, and the way Oz and Marjorie spar is a delight to read.

We are back in Mercury Ridge with another storm chaser. This is the second in the series, Colby's sister, Marjorie. She has never been able to keep her eyes off the ex bestie of her brothers, Oz.

It turns out neither can Oz. They might come together for very different reasons, but it feels like a ride. You can feel the tension, but BOY can you feel the heat!!!! I loved how as they jump right into storm chasing, it took a hard back seat for Oz as he wanted to keep Jorie (cute nickname) safe. They both are strong in their fields, but can see they want more.

Once the rivalry with her brother and Oz is not on the front burner. They really get along well. It might be a fast ride for them as they fight the storm and their feelings. Its got that good feeling like when you bite into a warm cookie and you get the ooey gooey goodness of it.

This is just the sweet spot we need as we watch Oz and Marjorie come into their own and realize they belong together.

The Daring Storm Chaser is Book 2 of the Love in a Storm series. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, opposites-attract, frenemies-to-lovers, curvy girl gets her brother's best friend romance. Marjorie is the smart and curvy manager for her brother, Colby, the Grumpy Meteorologist in Book 1. Oscar, aka Oz, is a hunky, daredevil meteorologist, and her brother's former best friend. The two have had crushes on each other for some time. When Marjorie can't convince Colby to drop the bet, she tries to convince Oz. He won't agree, so she asks to go Storm chasing with him instead. He is only too happy to agree, knowing he will keep her safe while he spends time with her. They end up in Mercury Ridge, and things get hot and S-T-E-A-M-Y before the storm hits. OMG, the chemistry between these two was pure fire, and after some minor angst, we got a great HEA. I loved seeing Colby and Oz make amends, too. It was so good!!

I was so excited for this series and then I read this one and now I’m worried. This one follows right where the other book started but on the sisters (Majorie) timeline. Oz is Colby’s nemesis and he’s chasing the storm that Colby wanted to record and but was denied. I’m this story, Majorie and Oz take a trip and they end up going to the same town Colby is in. They hook up in the hotel and end up crushing on each other hard. Then they get news of the tornado and go to the safe site where later Majorie meets with her brother. So it ends on the same time frame as the first book, we’re just seeing it from the sisters perspective. There a lot of repetition that I didn’t like too. I hope the 3rd book is different topic because I don’t know if I can handle more of the same story. I think 2 is my limit.

The Daring Storm Chaser is full of sparks and fire! Jori is a spitfire—bold, brave, and full of spunk. Harboring a crush on her brother’s ex-best friend, she dares him to take her along on a weather chase. Oz is a storm-chaser who lives for the thrill, and who has harbored a crush on his best friend’s sister forever. Watching the two navigate the inclement weather—and their hidden feelings for each other—is delightfully entertaining. The steam is hot, the danger palpable, the characters well-developed and so much fun, and the storyline carries you away. This is a great read!

This was a quick read (less than 30 minutes) but part of that might have been attributed to scanning the first two chapters as they were almost verbatim from the previous book in the series only from Marjorie's POV rather than Colby's. It also felt a bit odd to be throwing dares back and forth during their first time in bed, especially when it wasn't established before that they'd ever done so as kids. The dares were always between Oz and Colby, so that made it feel a bit disjointed. I did like seeing the effects of the tornado and the town seeking shelter from the view of being in the firehouse.

Oz, Colby and Marjorie were friends until Oz and Colby had a falling out. After the storm, Oz sees Marjorie at the same shelter in town and they get close. But when Colby arrives at the same shelter, he wonders if something is going on between the two. Will Oz and Colby work out their differences and become friends again for Majorie’s sake? Will Oz and Marjorie have a HEA? The story and plot were well-written and fun to read.

Oz and Marjorie is story where the fine line of love and hate explodes off the pages.

Marjorie is the sister of Oz's best friend, but after a stunt in college, he lost both their trust. Now they are older, and Oz does not seem to have change, not even his feeling for Marjorie.

This is a great story of love, passion and finding a new path that warms your heart and makes you smile.

“The Daring Storm Chaser” is definitely a book for people who find reading exhausting or have the attention span of a mayfly.
Clocking in at 40 pages it's a short novella or a medium length short story.
Marjorie and Oz have been attracted to each other since high school - neither acted upon it.
A decade later they meet again, spend some time storm chasing (the why is explained in the book), and, before you know it, HEA.
It's nicely written but pointless.

Oz and Jori are a great couple, you're rooting for them throughout this quick story. This is a fast less than an hour read, goes straight to the heart and is a great love story. I really liked it, characters you feel for, sweet and with a bit of steam. Great happy ever after.

This was Oz and Marjorie’s story. Oz Metzer has always been dangerous. Long before he was a daredevil storm chaser, he was an adrenaline junky who loved to lead others into danger. Once upon a time, he was her brother’s best friend, but that all changed when one of Oz’s dares went sideways. It was an interesting and quick read. And voluntarily leaving this review.

Oz and Marjorie. Great story. Shes crushed on him for a long time. He use to be her brothers best friend and they find their friendship again. Oz is a daredevil. They have great chemistry. They have a stormy journey. Loved it. Short and passionate.

Marjorie gets her man. - Oz might be persona non grata with Colby but his little sister has been feening for Oz since they were kids. A cross-country challenge against Colby will put her in position to get everything she wants. It's sweet that she decided to ride with Oz vice Colby though. She knew he'd be more careful with her around. Another good steamy shorty in this series.

cute very short novella. Marjorie is chasing a storm with her brothers ex best friend Oz, but she realizes he doesn't want to be an ex best friend and he isn't really an enemy. they spend some time together and slowly realize they both have feelings for the other and they can't hold back. one night stand turns into more and they get their HEA.

Oz is Marjorie's long time crush and her brother's best friend. Or ex-best friend. I love the plot that brings them together and brings Marjorie's brother Colby close to Oz again.

I'm not sure if this is marketed as a standalone but I highly highly recommend reading it together with Grumpy Storm Chaser because the plots are kind of concurrent. I wish I read them one after another!

Grumpy Storm Chaser was the first book from the author for me, and immediately after I dived into several other books of hers and loved those too! They are short, sweet, sexy and often touching stories, with just the right amount of depth that the characters have amazing chemistry together and are so likeable they will tug at your heartstrings, leaving you feeling sorry for them, and cheering for them at the end.

And The Daring Storm Chaser is no different. There were some parts which I really felt for Marjorie, like when she goes to the party to find him and tries to leave. The story is short, but well-written, so it's quick to read but still has depth to develop the characters and story well enough to really pull you in.

I can't wait for the next story in this series, and I think everyone should read the books in this series back to back!.
