I’ve always been the most popular girl on campus.

President of the hottest sorority, dating one of the hottest hockey players, but this fall it seems like my luck has run out.

When my sorority house is destroyed, I’m forced to move into the frat house with not only most of the sexy-as-hell hockey team.

I know I’m in trouble. How could it be any different when I have to live with my cheating ex and my best friend who I have a secret crush on?

But it doesn’t end there. When I catch the attention of the bad boy of the hockey team, who’s secretly a cinnamon roll, I think I have my hands full.

There’s also the new transfer who’s easy on the eyes and the most infuriating man I’ve ever met.

When my ex invokes the bro-code making me untouchable, what can go wrong?

this is the first book of a 𝘸𝘩𝘺𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘩𝘰𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘦 𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 duet and ends in a cliffhanger. The heroine won’t have to choose between her different love interests. This story has 𝘩𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘴 and 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘤𝘦𝘥 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘹𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘺 and it’s intended for readers 18+.

DNF for now. Might give it another try when the next book comes out next year.

SPOILERS

It's constantly breaking the 4th wall and talking to us as the reader, which is just annoying. 3/4 of the smut in the book is just the characters having full on daydreams about what they'd do with the other characters, since by the end of the book most of them still haven't gotten together. They're all manwh0res but they'll turn it around for her which is cute I guess, if I didn't have to wait for another book to see that in effect. One was a jerk, calling her names and accusing her of stuff in the middle of a very public party before accidentally pushing her in the pool, and he self-righteously felt like he didn't need to apologize for any of it until he found out his accusations weren't true...and then his apology sucked.

OW and OM drama double whammy of the worst kind. The cheating ex who wants her back and is willing to go to ridiculous extremes for it, and the puck bunnies who either want her guys, or want her ex who still wants her, and are willing to destroy her standing with their sorority and the school to get them. Yikes.

Then it all ends on a cliffhanger where the ex threatens them all into dropping her just as they all start to open up to being in a relationship. This really didn't need to be a duet lmao.

And what's with the sister having an actual prince as one of her guys? I'm glad I read this book first and not the sister's books, because I don't find royalty and the responsibility and expectations that come with being a future queen (in a contemporary and non-fantasy setting) in any way sexy lol.

So after last time with that explosive ending in the Trophy, I was dying to find out what wound happen next with Bay Woods, who's sworn off hockey player for the foreseeable But then things get complicated when she meets Ryker who has her wanting to change all that, with there love-hate vibe but secretly they have the hots for one another and Bay is shocked when they meet again on campus but thats not all she has to deal with there's bianca who i cant stand and her sorority house is burnt down to the ground and she has no option but to stay with the frat house which are mostly full of hockey players . Along With her ex Topher, who's still a gigantic pain and is making things difficult for her along with a kissing booth where Jagger sees Bay in a whole new light and Bay agrees to help him with his little problems and boy, if i though the start was hot it definitely heats up between them. Then there Cole, who's her best friend but is secretly in love with her. I was slightly frustrated with Cole as i wanted him to finally tell Bay, but he kept getting stuck in the friend zone .but i love how he's always there for her, no what. Then you hit us with that explosive ending, and Bay is stuck between the bro code, and im dying to find out what will happen next.

Who is oblivious and didn't realize this ends with a cliffie?! Me! Also who reads this and is so into she tempts to cook dinner and continue reading at the same time?! Me. That would also be me.

At about 78% in, I'm biting my nails thinking this is no where close to being resolved and trying to figure out where all of it is going. Major face palm for me. Lol

Loved to finally have part of Bay's story! I cannot wait for the second half to come out! I NEED to see Topher get what he's due! And Bianca as well!

Lakyn's duet is followed up by Bay's.
Her now ex-boyfriend is a pain in the behind, floundering the sorority sister in Bay's face at every opportunity, while also trying to win her back (in more or less idiotic ways - mostly more).
Cole, Ryker and Jagger are not flawless and they all mess up and hurt Bay in different ways.
When the Sorority house burns to the ground, all the sisters have to be rehomed and Bay ends up in Topher's frat house.
When the fire is ruled arson, the insurance refuse to pay out a dime to rebuild and without a propper home, the sorority is in danger of being permanently closed down.
With Lakyn 3 hours away, the sorority sisters spread out all over campus, Bay is alone with many of her worries.
As I read this book and the next back to back, I simply can't recall what the cliffhanger was - but I know it's there LOL I know MA's work too well to believe there wasn't one.
I jumped right onto book 2 and I've enjoyed this ride so much. They are well written and keep you turning pages well beyond decent bedtime LOL
Disclaimer: It is recommended to read Lakyn's duet before this one. There is a lot of world building and character cross over. The initial duet (The Auction and The Trophy) sets up Bay's story.
Run, don't walk. This is an amazing series.

This book follows Bay (Lakyn’s twin sister from the first two books). Bay is beautiful, popular, has a success career as an influencer and is president of her sorority. However, her world comes crashing down when she finds her boyfriend Topher cheating on her with her sorority sister at the end of Lakyn’s story. Bay’s book starts after a summer away on a yacht in France trying to heal, swearing off Hockey players for good. Enter Jagger, Ryker, and Cole, hockey players who just might shake up Bay’s resolve.

I loved this book from the first chapter. It sucked me in right away, and I’m just going to say that I loathed Topher in the first books and didn’t think he could get worse, but I definitely thought wrong. He deserves everything that I hope is coming to him. The plot is captivating and well-paced, and there is plenty of steam for our spice-lovers. Bah is just as awesome as she was in the first two books, but now we can see deeper into her mind and the girl we met in the first two books was only the surface. I might actually like Bay more than Lake, and I thought that would have been impossible. I definitely can’t wait to see what happens in the next book!

Bay is an absolute sweetheart and I loved getting to know this character after meeting her in Laykin's duet. I love how she works hard and doesn't take anything for granted. I have been desperate for Cole to get his girl since book one and although Jagger and Ryker are great additions, I need him out of that friend zone ASAP! They are so perfect for each other.

Topher is still the absolute worst; I did like the flashback to the conversation Bay overheard as it gave him a little depth but he was still creeping about with Bianca. Although I loathe Topher, Bianca is the worst kind of snake. The way these characters are getting away with everything by using loopholes is making my blood boil! Heaven help Bay if they actually team up together properly. I cannot wait for some karma in book four; Bay may just want him out of her life but she definitely deserves some revenge!

My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read

The Bro-Code is the third book in the Not Your Pucking Bunny series written by Melissa Adams.

💜 heartbroken FMC
💜 annoying ex
💜 sorority/fraternity
💜 hockey team
💜 🌶🌶🌶 spice

Bay just can’t believe it. How could Topher do that to her? They were together for three years. Never mind the fact that she was on her way to end it with him. But, seriously in her bed? As much as running away for the summer gave her much needed physical space, she still has to go back. Star Cove is her home for at least this next year so she can finish college. Besides, she’s still the president of her sorority. She can does this, right? No big deal?

This was such a great addition to this storyline. I love how most of the different stories tend to come from this same town, Star Cove. Bay is such a strong main female character. I love how she’s not your typical sorority chick you see in books or movies. She works hard to earn her grades, lead her sorority, and earn a living. This book does end on a cliffhanger and I can’t wait for the next one to see what happens next.

If you’ve been following along, then you know what happened to Bay Woods at the end of her sister’s story. I gotta say, I clocked that. Absolutely. I mean come on, the dude’s name is Topher. It just screams look at me, I’m a douche. In this book, we get to know Bay Woods a little bit more and I have to say there’s so much more to her. She’s not vapid, she’s not shallow. She has a heart the size of the Grand Canyon. Her twin is the same. There’s so much more to her. She is a sorority president, a sister, friend, and content creator. But when her douche of an ex keeps inserting himself as a main character, she’s thrown. She gives just as much as she can take. The banter between her and Ryker, that’s just top notch. The slow burn of friends to hopefully more between her and Cole, ohh that’s felt. But the chemistry between her and Jagger, that’s palpable and explosive. I’m so absolutely ready for book 2!

I've had a love/hate relationship with this series so far. I really didn't like Lake in the first 2 books, but I feel better about Bay.
I absolutely hate Topher... like truly. But I'm supposed to, so that's fine.

The characters are so young... and it just makes me feel old. But that's a personal preference. They act as they are supposed to - like young, stupid college kids.

One thing I truly enjoyed about this book were the kissing scenes. I read almost exclusively spicy books and so many focus on the spicier things and skip the kissing. And it may sound ridiculous, but I can really appreciate it when an author takes the time to flesh out a good ole kissing scene. There's something fiery about a good kiss that not all authors include. Especially when we are dealing with younger characters. I'm in my mid 30's and a good kiss can still give me jelly legs. It's nice to be reminded of and relate to that sometimes.

Great Read

Bay is the President of a fraternity, and has a twin sister. At the end of the last book (which is about her twin) Bay catches her "boyfriend in her bed with another girl". Moving on to this book Bay in coming to terms with the S#&@ storm that returning to college will be seeing her ex plus her best friend and swearing off hockey players. Well let's just say I devoured this book in a couple of hours as I could not put it down. I love that Bay is a little sassy, while still being a little naive with her feelings for her best friend. Things happen and she has to move into the boys frat house and things get interesting, ending with a WTF moment not sure if that is worse then a cliffy. Fingers crossed we don't have to wait a whole year to get the next book. Melissa Adams has written another worthy book, I really enjoy the books this author realeses.

First off, I’m so excited to start Bay’s story. I need for her to get her HEA. I know it will happen as you can see it forming. However, there are always some hurdles. This brings me to my second point. Can I just say that Topher is the douchiest of all selfish dude bros? I already hated him after what happened with Lake but now I don’t just want to see him knocked down a peg but seriously dragged through the mud, humiliated, and just absolutely destroyed. His supreme evilness is so well written and very believable.
Okay, I got a little off track with this review but seriously this is an awesome book and exactly what I was hoping for from book 3. Melissa Adam’s is a great storyteller and I can’t wait to read the next book. I need love and vengeance. 😈

This is Bay’s story after her break up with Topher the douche bag. Bay had a lovely summer but now she has to go back to college and face everyone. Bay meets Ryker at airport, they had a face off over a cinnamon roll and there a mess up with their seating. (The banner was funny and steamy) Cole is a long time best friend that more than friend feelings for Bay. There is Jagger that kiss at the kissing booth that started the ball rolling. Then there is the douche bag, Topher, that won’t leave Bay alone. Bay is getting hit from all directions and I feel for her. The three men are all there for her until douche bag declares Gamma Delta Bro-Code. I started reading and couldn’t put the book down until the last page. Can’t wait for book two.

Topher strikes again

Even though this story focuses on a new group of main characters it is not a standalone. You will not be able to appreciate or understand the characters in this story without first reading Lakyn’s duet (the first two books in this series). That being said if Topher doesn’t get handled in the next book I am going to scream. That man-child needs to go jump off a bridge. I have already fallen in love with Jagger, Cole and Ryker. Bay is going to be so well taken care of if they can get around all the obstacles put in their path. The spicy scenes are plentiful and yummy. When they finally all get together it is going to be 🔥🔥.The cliffhanger at the end is just maddening. I cannot wait for the next book!

Absolutely loved it

After reading Lake's story, I was so hoping that Bay would get her own. And let me tell you, this first installment does not disappoint at all.
Bay is a powerful woman who knows exactly what she wants. Her choice in boyfriends had me questioning her until she dumped Toph....because, wow, what a tool. Anyway, she decides no more hockey players. Can you guess how that goes? Her BFF Cole, Jagger, the playboy, and Ryker, the newest member of the team, have all admitted to having feelings for her, just not to her. And guess who decided to throw a huge wrench in their plans?
Seriously, can't our favorite prince find us a hit man?
I loved this book and couldn't put it down

This was really enjoyable up until about 70% in when I realized I didn’t check if it was a stand alone 🤦‍♀️😂😭 that’s not to say the last half of the book is bad, it is good and there isn’t much of a cliff. But I’m definitely anxiously awaiting the next half of the duet.

I like how the harem is coming together. The guys are all interesting and they respect the MFC. I find that she is relatable. Her ex is annoying as is her sorority rival but that adds drama so 🤷‍♀️ and at least they both are a continuation from the MFCs sisters story which were the first books in this series.

Fairly light on the hockey aspects compared to other hockey books.

Omg! This book is so good. But serious book hangover! The ending wasn’t the worst cliffhanger ever but jeez I am sitting here stressing out about what will happen next. Bay needs to catch a break, she seems to have the worst luck ever. And after Topher girl needs a win. The complicated feelings she has towards all of her new love interests makes this book reach fever pitch levels. Melissa Adams writes some steamy scenes and this book does not disappoint. I just know the next one will reach all new levels. There is so much buildup that the drama and sexual tension is reaching all new heights.

Nothing worse than being CB'd by an ex you can't stand. Jerk!
Bay projects a totally put together and bad@$$ chick but under it all she is a woman who is broken hearted and scorned. I have questions about how things got to where they are (Yes, I am eagerly awaiting book 2) but either way, arrangements are made, leaving some people pissed, some horny and others still on the outside.
But Wait! Just when it's looking like Bay will rule the world the He Who Shall Not Be Named steps in again to ruin the day.
Screw that Bay, Seize the Day and grab what you want!!!!!!!

I am really enjoying this series. I was very excited to see this FMC’s story unfold. I loved her, though she had blinders on, in the last part of this series. Her BFF really needed to pull his head out of his rear though. The will he won’t he was frustrating but keeps you turning pages. So much happens in this book that keeps you hooked and occasionally fanning yourself. Then there’s Topher…IYKYK, if you thought he was a special feminine hygiene product before, buckle your seatbelt. I can’t wait to see what Melissa hits us with next.

Bay’s story has not disappointed so far! If anyone deserves an HEA it’s Bay. Topher is still trying his hardest to get back with Bay but he’s also wholly disgusting about it. And just when Bay starts to find connections beyond Topher, he does his best to sabotage that as well. The guys are new except Cole, who has denied his feelings for Bay for as long as she has for him. Ryker and Jagger are both complicated guys, especially Ryker who seems to mess up pretty spectacularly. I’m very curious to see where this goes after the end of the book!

Three guys and one girl and one angry ex.

Bay is trying to get over ex and has sworn off all men more specific hockey players. But when the run in with the new star Ryker sets her skin on fire she can't help want him. Then Jagger kisses her due to a charity thing she need more. And she can't stop thinking of her best friend but don't know he feels the same.
With her ex doing all he can get her back trying to keep all three guys away from her. It end in a cliffhanger and I can't wait to the next one.

The first two books in the series were about Lakyn, Bays twin sister. This book and the next are about Bay, who had found her boyfriend of 3 years cheating on her at the end of book 2. When she comes back to campus after summer break, a whole bunch of bad things start to happen ranging from fires to exes not taking the hint, even trouble with the dean's daughter.
It's nice to get to know Bay, after getting to know her sister. Not to mention Cole, Jagger and Ryker too! I hope they can band together and put Topher in his place.

Wonderful

This is book three in the Not Your Picking Bunny series and the first part of Bay's duet. I was hooked from start to finish. I love Bay and her men and how their relationships ate so different. She and Cole never progressed beyond friends because neither realized the other wanted more. Jagger the guy she never new she wanted and Ryker the new guy in town. Bay is hesitant about starting anything with them because of her ex. Of course he wants chef back and is causing problems. Will they be able to get past all this? I can't wait for the next book

Could not be more thrilled that Bay’s story is here.
I have been so excited and anxiously waiting for her’s since reading her twin sister Lakyn’s story!! It was deliciously spicy and Bay’s mind blowingly delicious spiciness has ramped up my obsession with the series… let me tell you it was worth every single teeny tiny second of waiting for it. It is 100% EVERYTHING I COULD’VE HOPED FOR!!! , The only thing is I’m holding on by a thin thread on the end of the rope I’m hanging from with this doozy of a cliffy!!!
My fingers are crossed the book 2 comes out real soon like real soon !!!!

3.5 rounded up to 4

We are back for book 3! I was excited to get to know Bay better and see where her story goes. Honestly, I struggled with this book a little at times (because of how horrible a few characters are) but I am glad I kept reading.

I got more into the story (and of course we get to know Jagger, Cole and Ryker.) I do like Bay as a character and I did love how she had sworn off hockey players - never say never!

This does end on a cliffy and I am curious to see where this story goes.

After Lake's story I was excited to see Bay get her own. Meeting new (and old) characters for the start of the duet, we get to see into the life of the "older" (by 7 whole minutes don't you know) twin. The boys are all hot commodities but I have to lean towards Cole being my fav. Theres plenty of drama and a good start to the duet but BOY I will never get used to Melissa leaving us with such cliffies that you NEED to get your hands on the next one pronto.

I seriously love this book! Love Bay here. The sister of Lakyn and it's her story we follow here. She is very popular and is livid when she catches her boyfriend cheating on her. But like all bad things they come together and the sorority house burns down. Now she has to live in a frat house with her ex. What good will that bring? The tension is through the roof for sure and leaves some wanting more then just the casual fling. I am so ready for the second book!

The Bro-Code by Melissa Adams is the third in the Not Your Pucking Bunny Series. This follows Bay's story. We met her in the previous books - she is Lakyn's twin sister. I really liked Bay from the start but I didn't like her choices in boyfriends. After she swore off hockey players - in come some hockey players that might be just for her. Loved it. Loved the banter and back/forth. Looking forward to book four!

This book caught me right away with Melissa's amazing storytelling. It's fast paced, full of great and awful plot twists, a bad guy everyone will want to get rid of and amazing steam from the guys. Bay has to work through several hardships, continue to avoid her ex and negotiate new connections. Great characters and I'm continually amazed at Melissa's imagination and how easy it is for me to get lost in it.

The Bro-Code was so good!

The Bro-Code, book 3 of the Not Your Pucking Bunny series, by Melissa Adams @melissa.adamsr is a favorite author of mine.

This was an excellent 1st book about Bay, Cole, Ryker & Jagger! Tropes: Contemporary, Why Choose, Hockey, College, Members Of The Harem Have Sworn off The Opposite Sex For Their Senior Year, Chance Encounters, Best Friends & a Cliffhanger!

This book had me not wanting to put it down to go to sleep. Bay went thru a rough time with Topher so she was feeling heartbroken & then she met Ryker who didn’t really give any good impressions with all his antagonizing behaviors so everything was kinda tense. Her times with Jagger were pretty hot. I was hoping Cole & her would’ve told each other their feelings finally.
