I'm content with my single pop-star life. No need for a boyfriend, especially not the infuriating actor, Asher McDaniels. Suddenly, the world believes we’re dating, and I need to make a choice - Do I keep up the charade and distract the media to help my friend, or do I disappoint our fans who see us as the perfect match? The choice seems simple, but as we get to know each other, I realize it's anything but easy.
Asher
Kayla is an open book, written in an unreadable font. Despite her disdain for me, I'm drawn to her. She shows the world her cover, only the bare surface, but I crave more. A fake relationship wasn't in my plans, but it's a gamble I'm willing to take. But what will I do when she ends up being too addicting to let go?
The cover, the plot and their story was soooo cute! Finally, a sassy and funny FMC! They had the banter, chemistry, emotion and the HEAT🥵 i couldn't put it down.
🎤 Fake dating 🎤 Enemies to lovers 🎤 Dual POV 🎤 He falls first
Kayla, the other half of the pop sensation, Sirens. She's funny, witty and her one liners had be laughing. The fierce loyalty she had for her best friend and the length she'd go to in order to protect Millie from the backlash and hate that came with the price of their fame. They had the strongest of friendships! . Kayla always bottles up her feelings and dealt with everything alone and i totally admired her strength when she fought her inner battle in dropping her guarded wall and learned to trust Asher,
Asher, a famous actor that accidentally announces they are dating now has to continue with the facade to help his best friend, Luca. Asher also matches Kayla's energy with the witty banter. He's more than ready to bulldoze her walls down and is ready to catch her. He had me swooning . Just like his best friend, he also had the golden retriever energy! He was the perfect book boyfriend! Millie was right they are the "Power Couple"..
At first i was a little confused as i thought we would be continuing the story from the first book but instead we are taken back to the beginning of the charity match where we are told the story from Kayla and Asher's POV. A different take completely, totally unexpected but one that worked REALLY well. The assumptions that were made in the first book have been shown in a completely different light. I LOVED that! This is my favourite series by Hailey Frost, I'm needing more.. Book 3? Or a spin off 2.5? maybe? Pleaseeeee!! ✨5/5 ✨
✨ Release Date 14th June 2024 - Save the date!! & ADD to your TBR✨
✨I recieved this ARC in return for an honest review. Thank you Hailey Frost for giving me the opportunity to read your book ✨
Kayla is one half of the Siren's and she is absolutely happy to be single. But when her best friend and other half of the Siren's seems to have a crush on the gorgeous Luca, she knows exactly what she needs to do to take the heat off the budding relationship... She needs to be dating Luca's best bud Asher. Asher is an actor, and Kayla just finds him infuriating, but he is drawn to her in ways he cannot explain. With a fake relationship there is always risks - but will those risks pay off?
Siren's Game is a fun and flirty read that is often times spicy as well. I didn't think I could enjoy a couple any more than I loved Millie and Luca, but Kayla and Asher are just amazing. Kayla is a much deeper character than we originally thought, having her own challenges and insecurities to overcome while putting Millie and Millie's happiness well before her own. Asher is suave and confident, making him top book boyfriend material in a contemporary romance world.
Just like book one, Hailey has created a wonderful, warm-hearted read - perfect for lovers of fake dating. Siren's Game is book two in the Siren's Duet focusing on Kayla and Asher. You can get your hands on this book June 14th, 2024.
Hailey has done it again! Another amazing romcom! 😍
Without a doubt, Kayla and Asher have become my favorite couple. While I loved how cute and sweet Millie and Luca were in Siren’s Heart, I simply cannot get over the “enemies-to-lovers” vibes that Kayla and Asher gave. I love some good banter and this book didn’t disappoint.
And can we also talk about the smut 😱 Don’t let that cute cover fool you because Kayla doesn’t play when it comes to the bedroom and Asher dutifully met ALL of her needs. Like omg the chemistry was just amazing 🤩
The only reason this book wasn’t a five star read for me was because it took place during the same time that Siren’s Heart did. While I can’t lie and say I didn’t enjoy seeing some of the scenes from Siren’s Heart from Kayla’s POV, I feel like the book would have been that much better if the story had taken place after the game. Nonetheless, that’s just one minor thing that overall didn’t really matter. I was too focused on Kayla and Asher’s relationship to even care sometimes.
Thank you so much Hailey for sending me an ARC of this book! I truly loved it and I can’t wait to see what your next books will be about 🥰
Siren’s Game by Hailey Frost is the second book in the Siren’s Duet. I have been waiting to read this book since I finished Siren’s Heart. I loved Kayla and Asher in Siren’s Heart and was so excited for their book. This book did not disappoint!
Kayla and Asher were so good together! I loved watching their relationship progress. I enjoyed seeing their POVs for the things that happened in Siren’s Heart. Asher was such a great MMC. Oh am I a sucker for a man with a man bun. He was so sweet with Kayla and I adore them. Kayla was such a great FMC. I loved her friendship with Millie. If you want a cute romance then read this book. However, I recommend reading Siren’s Heart first.
Thank you so much @haileyfrostauthor for the ARC of this book! I absolutely adored the Siren’s Duet 😊
Thank you to Hailey Frost for the opportunity to ARC read Siren’s Game! I absolutely loved this book and flew through it. I could not put it down. Now I need to go and read Siren’s Heart so I can get Millie and Luca’s POV. I loved Kayla and Asher. It was clear they belonged together. The banter, the tension, the emotion, the chemistry, the spice 🌶️🌶️ … it was all done so well. This book is available NOW — and if you love enemies to lovers, he falls first, fake dating, and spice off the bat — you should definitely add Siren’s Heart and Siren’s Game to your TBR. I definitely need more and I hope this series will be continued.
This was such a cute story, and I enjoyed every minute of it. I loved Asher and Kayla together; their dynamic was perfect. It was great to see their relationship evolve from hate to love, especially after getting a glimpse of them in "Siren’s Heart." I liked their banter and seeing Asher fall first, as well as watching Kayla open herself up to him.
This is book 2 in the sirens duet. This is Kayla and Ashers' story. What begins as fake dating turns into a beautiful love story. I love the progression throughout the book and the nods to Millie and Luca. The stories blend the timeline to perfection. The spice is spit on.
I honestly like Kayla and Asher better as a couple but I did find a good amount of the book repetitive from the first book. On the bright side this helped me fly through it. It was interesting to see the differences in POV compared to the first book for the same situations, and I wonder how different it would be if you read this book before Sirens Heart. Very unique writing style!
⬥︎ Like Sirens Heart, this was a really cute read. While it takes place during the same timeline as the first book, this one focuses on Kayla and Asher's points of view.
⬥︎ I really liked Kayla's character and how she and Asher interacted throughout the book. Their relationship started rocky, but they soon discovered they had a lot in common. Asher was the sweetest; the way he always showed up for Kayla, even when she kept him at arm's length, warmed my heart.
⬥︎ While I enjoyed this book, I would have liked to see more about their future rather than the same timeline from different perspectives.
⬥︎ This book is about acceptance and taking charge of your own life, and that's exactly what the sirens did. It's a story that will leave a cozy feeling in your heart.
⬥︎ Thank you Hailey for the opportunity to read this arc.
-The first chapter really caught me off guard. It immediately starts off with a sex scene, which I don’t mind but I was surprise when the first paragraph contained the sentence “I’m going to cum”. So beware of that. But overall, this book was really entertaining to read and I was not bored at all when reading it that I finished it in less than a day and I am in the middle of studying for exams. The plot itself, is quite typical for a romance book, nothing too out of the ordinary, since it is supposedly set in today’s world. I do however feel like the Millie situation was brushed over a bit too quickly but I assume that goes into more detail in Millie’s book. I’m curious to know however, if both books just take place at the same time and it’s just different POVs or if there are more differences.
-The characters were really fun to read about. I think it happens a lot that people get kind of annoyed when short characters are always mentioned to be so small but I feel like it also happens when the female characters are tall. This isn’t specific to this book but I do see this quite often. Other than some small quirks that we find in many books, I really loved these characters and the relationship between Kayla and Asher started off with a lot of fun banter and then evolved into something to cute.
-The ending doesn’t really stand out, as many romance novels do. I don’t expect them to be very different from one another because romance are expected to end happily ever after. And since I really like Kayla and Asher together, I am so glad that they ended up working things out quite quickly.
can this actor teach this pop princess how to fake date for the public?
Kayla is part of the iconic Sirens Duo with her bestie Millie. Kayla is adored by all her fans & loved by the public eye. The other part of her duo not so much. So when her pal Millie wants to start a new relationship, Kayla steps in and pretends to date the guys best friend so that Millie can date without the public noticing them.
The only downfall of dating this gorgeous famous actor (Asher McDaniels) is that years ago he made a nasty comment about rockstars staying off the movie set and sticking just to music when Kayla auditioned for a movie with him. Asher has apologized but Kayla may have forgiven him but she’s not forgotten. But she’s doing this for Millie & Asher needs a date to his father’s charity dinner. So in 3 months this will be over and done and they can go their separate ways.
Can Kayla get past Asher’s past comments? Will they both be able to handle all the extra & crazy paparazzi that comes with their new “relationship”? Can Kayla let down her walls to let Asher in when this turns to a friendship. & what happens when their personal “needs” need satisfied? 🥵
📚 Rockstar x Actor Romance 📚 Fake Dating 📚 Hate to Love 📚 Grumpy Sunshine 📚 Found Family 📚 2nd Book in Series 📚 Dual POV
Hailey Frost does it again!!! & this time with part two of the Love in the Spotlight series. This time we got the POV of Kayla & Asher. I love how it perfectly fit true to the timeline of the first book. The way Kayla’s black cat personality played perfectly with Asher’s cinnamon roll sweetness. & Hailey did not skimp on the S P I C E at all! 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵
Siren's Game is a great companion to Siren's Heart! Right off the bat we're hit with spice which I was not expecting at all. It's a little more spicy than the previous book but nothing crazy.
After reading Siren's Heart, I didn't care for Kayla. But Siren's Game really gave me a better understanding of why Kayla acts the way she does. It was heartwarming watching her open herself up to love and facing her fears. I love that she's a romance book girlie (same girl same) but I draw the line at pineapple pizza (blegh)!!! I still like Millie a little more 🫢. Kayla and Asher make an adorable pair. He's a true gentleman, protective, loyal, and is even willing to talk about books with her 🥹 (every book gfs dream)!!! Asher still continues to be my favorite character!
Siren's Game is a dual POV, fake dating, popstar x actor romance with a tall fmc, he falls first, and spice. I highly recommend reading Siren's Heart first as Siren's Game is a different perspective on the events that occur during Siren's Heart.
*Thank you to the author, Hailey Frost, for an ARC in exchange for my honest review!
Wow did this one start with the spice from page 1! Another 5-star rating! I absolutely loved Siren's Game!
"Fact is, she's not creeping her way into my heart, she's full on bulldozing it and I am not yet sure what to make of it."
"I don't need my heart to beat this quickly for him, like, ma'am can you please calm down?"
Kayla and Asher have a much different story than Millie and Luca from Siren's Heart, but just as enjoyable. I laughed and swooned, but in some ways I was able to relate to their story more than the love at first sight story we got in the first book. This story more emulates the quiet love, and the banter that I have in my own marriage.
I love Kayla's fiery energy and can absolutely relate to her desire to protect her heart. Asher is a little dense at times, but he's such a protective, almost possessive man that you can't help but root for throughout the book.
A huge thank you to Hailey Frost for allowing me the opportunity to ARC review this one after Siren's Heart! I love her writing and will continue to read anything she writes.
Siren's Game is the second book from the Siren's duet. And where Siren' heart was about Millie and Luca, is Siren's Game about Kayla and Asher. And boy, have I been waiting for this book! This book was funny, sweet and super spicy! Hailey shows us she can write total different things within the same series and she is a master doing so.
Though I liked the sweet story of Millie and Luca, the story about Kayla and Asher was also soo very good to read. I enjoyed it from start to finish and didn't want to put it down. Hailey created another masterpiece with this book, giving the reader things they didn't even know they needed so much.
The extra thing I enjoyed so much about this book is that it took place the same time as the first book but now from other views. And Hailey has outdone herself with how she has written this. And though it starts as a fake dating story, it blossoms into such a sweet love story between Kayla and Asher
Thank you Hailey Frost for this ARC to read and review.
The fake dating trope is one of my favorites by far and Hailey did such a great job writing it! I loved Mille and Luca (Sirens Heart Book 1) but I love Asher and Kayla more. They are so cute and I loved how they were together.
4/5 ⭐️ 2/5 🌶️
Things to expect: Fake dating Hate to love He falls first Popstar x Actor
Favorite Quotes:
"Well, you aren't sober, that's for sure," I point out when she stumbles. And I’d rather she kiss me than the ground, but I don’t tell her that.
“She sent me a heart. She fucking sent me a heart. I know some people just use it to communicate but I can't fucking stop grinning. And I know how much of a hypocrite that makes me when I tease Luca about it, but I still can’t stop that giddy feeling in my stomach.”
"Why am I suddenly handing you a garlic roll?" I laugh and open the box to retrieve one. "Because I could kiss you and I'm not doing that if you ate garlic and I didn't."
I was intrigued by Asher & Kayla from book 1 & they didn’t disappoint.
You can tell in book one that Kayla is slightly stand offish and you are desperate to find out why. Well you definitely do and you can understand why it takes Asher a little to break down those walls but when he finally does it is a sweet romance with a lot of spice!
Thoroughly enjoyed this series! Great plot, great characters & character development as well! You read other novels and you have multiple characters doing multiple things and this was very them specific. I did have concerns when starting this that we were pretty much just going to get a repeat of book one but from Kayla’s point of view & I am not a fan of that at all. But this wasn’t like that at all, sure there were parts of book 1 in there but it was very focused on Asher & Kayla not Millie & Luca like you would expect.
Thank Haley for the ARC! And I cannot wait to read more of your books in the future!
siren’s game is the second book in the siren’s duet and follows the story of kayla and asher :) this follows the same timeline as the first book, but in kayla and asher’s pov. i already knew this was going to be steamy from the first page! i absolutely loved kayla from the start - we really get to see how loyal of a friend she is to millie and i loved that she was willing to put herself in the spotlight to keep millie safe. i’m a sucker for the fake dating trope, so this made me feel super giddy. asher gave me obnoxious bad boy vibes in the beginning, but when his protective and considerate side came out.. i was smiling and kicking my feet <333 the way he gets jealous and catches himself for thinking kayla is “adorable”? loveeee!!
if you’re looking for a quick, cute, and spicy read, add this to your tbr!! comes out june 14th <3
I loved Siren’s Heart, so I could not wait to read Siren’s Game. Truly my only complaint is that I expected it to pick up at the end of Siren’s Heart, so to see the first book through Kayla and Asher’s POV was unexpected but still fun.
I loved the tension/chemistry and spice between Kayla and Asher. They started off as enemies, moved to fake dating because Asher screwed up, and then fell in love. The spicy scenes in the book were 🔥 🥵 🔥, right from the first paragraph.
Basically Kayla and Asher pretend to be dating to give Millie and Luca a chance to develop a relationship, and then their fake relationship becomes real, but not without some conflict to overcome.
I just wish there was more - I want to know more about what the girls do after the ending meeting, so I hope there is a new story or bonus scene out there!
Siren’s Game is the second book in the Siren Duet. Come along now for one heck of a fake dating adventure between Kayla (1/2 of the iconic pop duo, Siren) and Asher (actor).
Pop duo Kayla & Millie are portrayed as opposites and I can say that both books are opposites when reading. The first book, Siren’s Heart had me cheesing with butterflies, but Siren’s Game?!?! Hailey had me squirming in my seat, with a lightening storm going on and had me glancing over my kindle make sure no one was watching 😂 that first chapter? WOAH. Wasn’t expecting that. 🌶️
Overall, I loved reading Kayla and Asher’s story. The banter. The nicknames. The teasing. But also the sweet *fake* romance that evolves was just adorable.
Read if you like: 🎤 Enemies-ish to Lovers 🏈 Fake Dating 🎤 Dual POV 🏈 He falls first
Book two of the Siren's Duo was underwhelming than I expected but way sweeter than I anticipated too. The plot and setting are on point. Hollywood's hot actor and the most popular popstar in the industry is a story that sounds veryyy intriguing, just like the first book had.
It went from CAN'T STAND YOU to CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT YOU and I'm here for it. The book was cute. Asher was the perfect book boyfriend; Kayla was the perfect black cat FMC and a romance girlie (I love her) and their story went from FAKE-DATING to real feelings really quick.
Despite the initial grudge Kayla held against Asher, there was definitely something between them even when they didn't like each other so well. Undeniable chemistry, as they say.
I didn't like how a lot of the story was connected to the first book and yet so muted that many chapters felt like fillers of the previous book. I wanted more of their situation during their bff's crisis, more of their story. There were obvious gaps in events that were covered in book one but felt lacking here. I'd recommend reading book 1 before this one and not as a stand-alone.
The best part about the book has to be the banters and mutual angst. And the spice? GIRL THAT WAS HOT!!! Better than book 1 in my opinion, I like the wild side better. And how Asher worked with Kayla and her insecurities with parents in general? SWOON.
You need to have both the books in your TBRs people and I'd recommend yet again to read it in order and not as stand-alone. Book 1 is a TEASE for book 2 and book 2 is lacing without Book 1.
3.5 ⭐️ This was such a quick, easy read! I really liked learning more about Kayla and Asher and seeing their story unfold after seeing snippets of them throughout Siren's Heart. Sadly, I didn't connect with them as much as Millie and Luca so the story fell a little flat for me in comparison. As characters, Kayla and Asher were interesting and clearly meant to be "opposites attract" but I never quite felt... immersed in their story or invested on how their romance would end up.
The pacing and writing made the book easy to dive into and fly through the pages. All in all, Siren's Game was a binge-able, fun, fake-dating, "enemies" to lovers story with a sweet HEA that anyone who loves a good romcom would enjoy.
Thank you to the lovely author, Hailey Frost, for the ARC copy in exchange for an honest review!
ARC REVIEW 🎤I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.🎤
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Book 2 in the Siren’s Duet, Siren’s Game follows Kayla and Asher’s story. We got glimpses and clues on how their story started in the first book, and now we finally get to read what went down with their relationship. Kayla and Asher’s relationship from being enemies to lovers just went on smoothly. Their bantering was just adorable and entertaining. The tension between the two was immediately felt. The fake dating scenes gave me butterflies in my stomach. Asher was both flirty and sweet to our girl Kayla 🩷. And lastly, their story really brought in some heat with the spicy scenes. It will get you blushing as you read 👀.
Overall, Siren’s Game was a fluffy, sweet and heartwarming story. I highly recommend this book as your next romance read 📖🙌🏻.
I received an advanced readers copy of this book but this is my honest review.
This book was great! I had been really looking forward to reading it after reading Siren’s Heart. There was so much fun banter back and forth between them that was really entertaining. I also liked seeing the story play out from Asher and Kayla’s perspective and how they were conspiring to get their friends together. The spice was good, I was surprised it started off so soon in Kayla’s first chapter but wasn’t complaining. 🤣 Those scenes were really good, in fact I wouldn’t have complained for a few more spicy scenes. But if you don’t like too much spice I think you’ll still love this book because it definitely does not over power the plot.
The second book in the Siren’s duet, Siren’s Game is written along the same timeline as the first book. After an interview that cost Kayla an acting position, she started holding a grudge toward Asher. Until he messaged asking for her help to get their friends together. From there they started fake dating, to keep the media off their friends, but somewhere along the way, the line between fake and real began to fade. I think they made the perfect couple, they balanced each other out, between his care free attitude and her sassy come back. I love Asher and how he is with her, even when she’s trying to keep things friendly, how he shows her it’s ok to be taken care of. I definitely recommend this duet if you are looking for swoon worthy men teaching their girls how to be loved.
Fake dating to true love. After an almost acting job gets canceled for Kayla because of a comment, Asher made in an interview, she hasn't liked the man. When their best friends fall in love at first sight, they fake date to get the attention off of them so they can have privacy. Issue is as a romance reader, Kayla should have known how the fake dating trope goes... I think my fav spots are the way Asher defends the people he claims as his, like at the celebration dinner,or when Kayla was "sick" and he showed up at her place prepared for just about anything and everything. I love how Kayla let herself be vulnerable with him and how he treasured every second of it. I loved the first book in the series but I think I love this one more!
"Fact is, she's not creeping her way into my heart, she’s full on bulldozing it and I am not yet sure what to make of it."
Sirens game is the second book from the sirens duet. This book is aboute Kayla and Asher fake relationship.
I give 3.5 because the story of Sirens Heart repeats itself at the beginning and in certain places in the book. If I had read Sirens Heart a while ago I would have liked it, but since the two books were released on close dates, I didn't like it.
on the other hand, the story of Kayla and Asher alone would be 4 stars ! the way the tension built between them was something I liked.
Tropes : - Fake relationship - He fall first - Pop star x actor - Teasing nickname
(3.5/5 but rounded up) Book 2 in this series and was not disappointed! My soft spot lies more with the first book in this series but this was still such a great second installation to this storyline. ~ Can we talk about the opening chapter?!??? My jaw was on the floor…I really enjoyed seeing and comparing the different personalities and relationships among each of our main characters. It was so fun to also read about a different side of the initial storyline. ~ @haileyfrostauthor did an amazing job writing these and is so good getting you hooked on her characters. I will definitely be keeping up with more from her (I know I said that already but it’s true!!)
Siren's Game was so good! We get Kayla and Asher's POV where Siren's Heart starts. I really enjoyed reading about what they were up to while Luca and Millie were falling in love ❤️
What you get....... ♡Celebrities ♡Pop Star ♡Actor ♡Charity Football Match ♡Enemies to Lovers ♡Fake Dating ♡Spicy ♡Dual POV ♡He Falls First ♡Man Bun ♡Jealousy ♡Possessive MMC ♡She's a Sassy Independent Woman
Kayla and Asher have amazing chemistry and are so cute together!! Asher takes good care of Kayla, and I really enjoyed reading this series! I hope we get more from this group.
