During pregnancy she asked herself an important question. How would she be able to inspire her unborn son to follow his dreams and reach for the stars, if she never had the guts to do it herself? Jessica decided to take a risk and unleash the plethora of characters and their crazy adventurous worlds that had previously existed only in her mind, into the realm of readers. She did this with hopes to inspire not only her son but herself. Inviting the world to tag along on her journey to become the writer she has always wanted to be. I am loving this series. The story in itself draws you in. I couldn't stop reading it once I started.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
This is book two of the series and picked up right where book one left off. Jessica did and amazing job keeping the story flowing and not disappointing her readers! She keeps you wanting to know more about the characters and not wanting to put the book down or for the story to end. Be prepared for a cliffhanger at the end… but not the type that makes you angry or disappointed, but the type that has you wanting more!
Jessica has a unique way of telling a story of a vampire community, with a lot of emotional happenings between them. The main character Alexa is the new Vamipe Queen that is battling with her own inner demon and has a lot of self doubt. She finds the inner strength that she needs through the spirits of the previous Vampire Queens. Her strongest bond is with Rasmiya. There is a darkness that is threatening to destroy all that Alexa loves and she needs to step up and take control to stop it! There is another Vampire named Jocelyn that has one goal and that is to steal the crown from Alexa.
I do not want to ruin the book by telling too much. I hope this was enough to give you the just of the story and to make you “want” to read it! There are a lot of different vampire stories being told by different authors. And in my opinion this one is a must read! It is more than the hunt and the kill to obtain blood to survive. It tells you a story about the lives of a vampire community and all that they go through to survive. I highly recommend this book to all vampire lovers!

I Received An ARC Of This Book In Exchange For My Honest Review!

Let me begin by saying WOW!!!! The end of this book was just that good. It does end with a cliffhanger but it's the type that makes a person want to read the next book to see where the story was gonna go next. To me it was a good place to end the book and make sure the reader would come back for more and that's exactly what I'm gonna do after I finish writing this review.

This book picks up where the first one left off so if you haven't read the first book I recommend you start with the first one. Alexa is still adjusting to her new role as Vampire Queen but it isn't easy. She's unsure of herself and is battling her own inner demon because of it all while worrying about saving her people from Darkness and what's coming.

This book flows smoothly from beginning to end. There's a lot of action in this story. From going after Jessica to save Jazz, Alexa's best friend, to the Trackers showing up at their town. Let's not forget the rescue that doesn't. There are also moments that are more relaxing in nature such as a family reunited. My favorite scene was when Alexa returned to the temple to seek help and guidance from Rasmiyah.

This series is fast becoming a favorite of mine. I highly recommend it to all readers and book lovers. Jessica you have a way with making me lose myself in your stories and world, THANK YOU for that.

I received and ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.
This book left off right where the first book ended. Jessica did not disappoint with the book! Starting from the beginning, this book has lots of suspense. I was completely unable to book this book down once I started it. First someone who Alexa thought she'd never see again pops in, then after a VERY heated argument, that person is, what seems like, out of her life again. Then she is off to save her friend Jazz, and that becomes interesting. After all of this has happened, Alexa is still struggling with herself. She feels like she has fully accepted her role in everything, but there is something inside her that fells like it's holding back. She needs to figure out what that is, and fast, otherwise things may change, and not for the better. While she is trying to figure this out though, someone goes missing and they all go in search to find them. But on the way home, something goes terribly wrong and someone is left behind. Alexa is completely crushed and then the book ends. There is a major cliff hanger at the end, and I just sat there like OMG OMG OMG what happened!! I loved this book and absolutely cannot wait for the next one to come out!

I loved this book almost as much as the first one :) Jessica Cage delivers again on a unique, exciting, take on the vampire community. I loved every minute and was on the edge of my seat with Alexa the whole way again. I loved all of the characters and the intricate emotional things going on between all of the characters in the insanely tense situations they are in. Everything felt real and pulled me in. The only thing I was not crazy about was the cliffhanger ending. Not a big fan of cliffhangers. I know the book had to end at some point, but it was just a really inopportune time for me. I think I would have rather started the new epic thing that was going to happen at the beginning of the next book. I kinda had to look back through the first book to remember what was going on, so I wouldn't mind a short "here's what happened so far" type thing at the beginning of the next one.

So, go get this series today! You can't beat the price and the author is a well kept secret of an indie gem. This book almost feels like a Scott Lynch read from a girl heroine instead the male hero in Gentleman Bastard series. Super fun. loved it!

***I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review***

***This is the second book in the series and WILL contain spoilers from book one. We suggest reading book one prior to reading this review***

After finding herself in the 7-19 and finding out her best friend has been taken by Lacal’s ex, Alexa must find the strength and courage to face the unknown and find Jazz. Alexa connects with Rasmiyah, the creator of her people, to connect with all the previous queens, in attempt to gain the knowledge she will need to find Jazz and figure out how to defeat the darkness.
This is the second book in the series, and I was pleasantly surprised at how much more I liked this book over the first one. The connection between Lacal and Alexa grows so much in this book. Jessica really does a great job at showing the feeling between Lacal and Alexa. I felt their connection and it was a really great experience. The Guidance of Rasmiyah is defiantly more action packed than the first, and had me on the edge for the next one.

Starting immediately where book 1 left off, Guidance of Rasmiyah takes you through the next steps in Alexa's Rein as Vampire Queen. In an effort to make the right decisions for her people as well as herself, she struggles internally with not only the things she has done but what she is willing to do.Overall, Guidance of Rasmiyah is a worthy edition to THE HIGH ARC Series with new information, buried secrets and a surprising revelation into who the people in Alexa's life really are.
Recommended for readers of Revitalized (book 1) or new paranormal readers looking for a new series to sink their teeth into.

In this, the second in The High Arc series, Alexa, as Queen of the vampires is learning to use her new powers. However, she has to go back to her former home because a trio has kidnapped Jazz and Alexa has to save her. However, in doing so, it causes a group of humans that believe in destroying vampires to attack the village.

Not much sooner than that is over, but another attack comes, and once more Alexa and Lacal are in danger along with the rest of the village. The primary enemies of the vampire culture that Alexa has been chosen as queen of finally show their faces.

This was a short episode and easy reading. My rating is based on my enjoyment of the story, not on the grammar. There are words left out and extra words added that don't belong. The author really should have had an editor but apparently didn't.

While I saw the errors, in both this and the previous one, i still enjoyed the story.

Better than book one. Usually for me, book two in a series packs less of a punch than the first book. Not here, no sir!

Guidance of Rasmiyah was awesome. There was so much going on, and the emotions made the character seem real despite her awesome range of power. She was balanced well. All of the characters were fun and intresting. It really did read like a young adult for me, so a lot of the things that seemed childish were made up by the fact that it did just that, read like a YA fantasy.

I loved the story, and the events that they had to face. Cliffhanger at the ending made me smile. It wasnt one that made me mad or had me wanting to scream at my kindle. It was one of those cliffhangers that makes me want to read the next book. I like that. Some cliffhangers are annoying, but I have to say that I like most cliffhangers in books. It gives me something to look forward to in the next book and makes me want to continue reading the books. Which is what a good book is supposed to do.

I look forward to the next installment.
