I've always seen myself at straight.
Just because I didn't go out to find a woman each night didn't change that.
I was too busy keeping my best friend and heir to the throne, Dante, in line.
Then he found his forever Daddy (again), making my role useless.
Life was never simple when you were part of the Cosa Nostra though.
Dante's takeover came with a host of problems, namely a few traitors and a lot of bloodshed.
After everything unfolded, I knew some of his men wouldn't be able to bounce back to business.
Working for Pharrell, his ally, was supposed to be a way to make sure things stayed in line.
It gave me a fresh start in Vegas, a place I could find my true self.
I didn't expect to have feelings for my new boss or to want to call him Daddy.
That wasn't who I was.
But maybe it's who I could be.
With each look and touch, I fell deeper for this man.
Straight? Yeah, that wasn't so accurate anymore.

Fixate is the sequel to Lawless. Inside you'll find suspense, mafia entanglements, a psycho or two, some familiar faces, and a host of new ones. This story features a romantic Daddy/boy dynamic between consenting adults. Suggested reading is 18+.

love

This book can be read as a stand-alone. The author did a great job of catching the reader up on what happened in the previous book. Which I freaking love. Sometimes I want to read a series but some of the books in the series aren’t my jam, so I love when we are caught up to things. Thank you for this.

Loved this story. I loved the mafia lord having a softer side for their person. They still don’t take any bs but they would give the world to their person. And in return their person gives them peace. This is a mafia book so mind your triggers. There is blood, and morally grey mcs. This is a new to me author but I plan on reading this series and scoping out other books by them.

For future me:
Dual POV
No cheating/sharing
Strict roles
Could used diversity
No om
Relationship before

I loved this book! And I’m gonna be honest, I didn’t have high hopes for it after Dante and Preacher’s book fell flat for me, but this was so enjoyable. A little slow to start as we catch up to the present and rehash some of what we’d already seen but from our MMCs POVs, but once it gets going, it doesn’t stop!

Ricardo always believed himself to be straight, too focused on managing his best friend Dante—heir to the Cosa Nostra—to pursue romance. But when Dante finds his own happiness, Ricardo feels adrift. A move to Vegas, working under Dante’s ally Pharrell, offers a chance to redefine himself. He never expected to develop feelings for his new boss or question his identity, but as their connection deepens, Ricardo begins to realize he might not be who he always thought he was.

This was a typical Mafia story with a twist. I loved how Dante found his happiness and the plots to remove the obstacles that were in the way. Ricardo's character was well developed and his change in sexual orientation was explored to a reasonable level. There were plenty of moments of danger and drama as Ricardo and Pharrell explored their relationship and dynamic. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like Daddy/boy dynamic.

4.5⭐️ I really really enjoyed this one! It was the perfect take on a mafia story and had a full plot line while remaining to the point and not drawn out!

I loved both of these characters and the softness they developed. They were such a good match for one another!

I honestly had no desire to read Lawless (book 1) based on the blurb so I jumped into this one but I for sure want to go back now! I also can’t wait for Pip’s book.

The only reason I didn’t give this 5⭐️ is that some time it felt slightly disjointed and left me feeling like “wait what?” And then having to re-read a few paragraphs back. Other than that though, I loved this and I can’t wait to read about Dante and Preacher now.

why did pip get a chapter??? side character only get chapters when something is going to go wrong…it threw me all off.

i would’ve loved to see them both thrive in new roles. pharrell in the legit business he has and ricardo in the mafia business.

i’m very intrigued by pip and henri so can’t wait for their book ‬

Loved it!

I really enjoyed this book. I liked the appearances of Dante and Preacher throughout. I loved the relationship between the main characters. I can't wait to read Henri and Pip's story and of course to find out what Jean has been up to.

Vegas baby!!!

Mafia men and the boys they love. Ricardo and Pharrell are ruthless and clueless!!! But, I love their enthusiasm!! And Pip is a great sideshow delight! I hope to see more of him and Henny. Plus, what is the project Jean is on??? Inquiring minds want to know…
