Leia writes edgy and emotional stories in Dark Reverse Harem Romance. She enjoys crafting flawed heroes with a dark side and strong women who hold their own.
While I am enjoying Skylar and the boys story, there are too many villains in this story. The hits just keep coming, pulling Skylar and the boys apart 😫.
This is book two in the Twisted Torment series and while they may not all be on the same page they will need to step up their game!! Skylar is out for vengeance against Jett for ruining her life and taking away someone very close to her. Caleb is lost and trying to find himself as well as finding a way back to Caspian and Sebastian. Caspian has been helping Sebastian get his life back in order after the fallout of Skylar disappearing. They need to come together and become a strong unit before Elijah Bane takes them all out!!
Another great installment in this series. I love how everyone works on their issues. I don’t love all the unsafe sex (raw in all the holes). Brutal, with lots of blood, if you have a trigger, this book is not for you. I’m hoping for a happy ending for these guys. BWOL-L
I really like these edgy kind of characters. High stakes, action, and revenge are also always interesting. But this definitely is more about the men's relationship.. Skylar is definitely more of a side character. And really doesn't contribute much to the story except to stabilize the men's relationship with each other. (Spoilers) There's really only one quick group scene, while there are pages, and pages of the men getting it on. (Even outside the Harem) Two of the guys from the "Walking With Monsters" Series make an appearance in the beginning based on their sexual relationship with Caleb.
It's a good book, and worth reading.. But be prepared for this development!
If the ending in the first novel ripped your heart out, the beginning of this one dealt with the impact beautifully. I couldn’t have asked for a better start to the second novel.
Our fabulous four now several years into the aftermath are still struggling to pick up those pieces. We had a lot of Skylar’s POV in book one and this one seems to be heavier on our men’s. It is honestly a nice way to bring about their character development within the story.
As before, Sebastian is still very much my favorite and I love getting to see him settle into himself and become a man he can be proud of. I think it’s because his innocence was stolen and he’s beginning to reconnect to that again.
And again, that ending *chefs kiss* a culmination of every chapter drawing you in and coming to a fantastic conclusion.
I overall enjoyed the book. There was a lot of violence and it was a bit more graphic than I normally look for in a story. Several of the characters had a lot to overcome in this installment. Lots of therapy.
The relationship between the four is not the usual I'm used to in other RH books in that the MFC isn't the center of the group. She's actually more of a side character in the 3rd book. Clearly, Caspian and Cal are each other's "person". The same way it's clear Sebastion and Skylar are each other's "person". The 4 all love each other but there are definitely two couples in this RH. Which is quite different to other RH books I've read.
Four people fought, hurt, and angry about the past event that broke down the relationship. Sky, Bastian, and Cal, Cas. It mostly the majority is on the guys bonding and Sky including. But still a great story.
The amount of times I wanted to scream is just crazy. I wanted to scream out of happiness, anger, fear and excitement. The hunt scene was delicious. I hope all the people going against them are ended
Ok, ok, on to the next. The story itself is really good. On a spicy scale maybe a 3 fr me, but the MM did things to me for sure. Kinda hot to say the least.
That ending was just freaking me out. Poor Cas, with everything. the going on the guy deserves a break! Btw I really wanna know what's going on with Dante!
