First half focused on women in leadership and what the Bible has to say about it. Some good things to think about and study further. Second half had some practical advice for leaders that really resonated with me in this season and my roles.

As a nonprofit leader who loves Jesus and desires to honor him in all areas of my life and leadership , I felt this was written for me!
Compassionate, honest, vulnerable and clearly pointing the reader back again and again to Jesus as we learn to lead well.

Interesting read that had many good points and ideas. But I often felt like “I didn’t think I couldn’t do this before because I was a woman” whereas I feel like this book was talking to women who felt like they couldn’t do certain things so it was a little hard for me to relate to.

A truly powerful read with so much encouragement received by my heart. Perfect timing - and with God that is always the case. I am adding this book to my referral list.

It is still relatively new for women to step into ministry, experiencing obstacles men do not have to face. Pisani offers encouraging insights from decades of leading alongside her husband. Her ministry attitude is one of humility, co-leading alongside men. The title reflects her position of being entrusted with leadership, not being entitled to it.

I like how Pisani tells many humorous stories on herself, using them to give insightful wisdom from her decades of ministry. I appreciate her reflections on ministering women in the Bible and throughout history. I liked how she investigated the pesky verses sometimes used to silence women in church.

This is not so much an argument for women in ministry as it is a resource for women who feel called to ministry but also feel inadequate or insecure. Pisani gives a great deal of encouragement in learning from mistakes, trusting God, having a humble attitude, and more. She includes pages of practical ideas to help readers move into their ministry. Each chapter ends with a prayer and space for reflection as well.

This is a great book for women who feel called to ministry but do not know how to move into that calling. It is also a valuable resource for women already in ministry positions to help others answer God's call on their lives.

I received a complimentary egalley of this book from the publisher. My comments are an independent and honest review.
