Rate this book
Lily, a barista at the Morning Dove Café, finds herself inexplicably drawn to Adam, a regular customer who visits every Tuesday at precisely 11:04 AM. Adam, with his precise routines and a fascination for botany, is unlike anyone Lily has ever met. His discussions about plants are as intriguing as they are endless, revealing a world Lily never knew existed. As their conversations blossom, so does an unexpected bond, leading Lily down a path of discovery, not just of Adam's unique world, but of unexplored depths within her own heart.

In "Uniquely Adam," Addison Clairmont weaves a captivating story of love that defies convention. Set against the backdrop of a sleepy Florida town, this novel explores the beauty of neurodiversity and the unexpected ways in which love can bloom. As Lily navigates the challenges and joys of falling for someone who sees the world through a different lens, she learns that love, much like the lilies Adam adores, can thrive in the most unexpected conditions. This tender and enlightening tale promises to touch hearts and open minds, celebrating the diverse spectrum of human connection.

This was a quick endearing read. This is a quick story to read while waiting for a flight or in a car ride.

This is a story of a young man with autism courting a young woman in his own unique way through his understanding and obsession with botany.

Like I said it is a novella, only 5 chapters, but it leaves me wanting more. I want to learn more about Adam, his thoughts and processes. I would have liked to read the challenges and rewards of being with a neurodivergent person. I would definitely continue reading if it was developed into a full novel.

I love reading about neurodivergent heros. And I want more.

lost potential

I had such high hopes. There were moments I thought ‘oh, this is so sweet’ and then others where I felt the author was repetitive. The imagery was beautiful yet the author spent a lot of time reciting the MMC ‘quirks that it took away from the blossoming love story.
